Other Dancing with the Stars Season 8 Cast Rumors

UPDATE: ABC has announced the official Dancing with the Stars Season 8 Cast.
The rumors are really swirling about which stars are going to be on the Dancing with the Stars 2009 cast. ABC has announced that the latest cast on Dancing with the Stars will be unveiled on Sunday Feburary 8th during the primetime shows on ABC. It will also be shown online (per the website). They’re calling it the Dancing with the Stars All Night name drop.
Until Sunday, we might as well talk about all the rumors that are going around. Here’s a look at the various names that I’ve seen mentioned across the internet.
Heidi Klum, model and actress
Steve-O, former Jackass star
Stevie Wonder, singer
Alicia Sacramone, gymnast
Melissa Joan Hart, actress
Katharine McPhee, singer from American Idol
Misty May-Treanor, Pro Volleyball player
Some stars that were rumored to be on the show, but have been confirmed not on the show are:
Donny Osmond, singer and TV personality
Cindy McCain, hmmm
If you know of any others that I missed let me know and I’ll update the post. Also, these are just rumors. So far most of the rumors haven’t been all that solid. I’ll be really surprised if the list of contestants isn’t leaked before Sunday.

Wow! I hope katharine is on the show. Can you imagine seeing her legs? Now that would be hot!
I’d like to see Katharine on the show as well. Would be really fun to watch. Do you think she might give Edyta a run for her money on sexy legs? I think I might have to post a poll with some pictures asking people to vote on who would have the sexiest legs.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that the information above is as it’s titled: rumors. It could be true. It could not be true. On Sunday we’ll know for sure either way.
One thing is interesting, the more people that want Katharine on the show, the more likely the producers will work to get her on the show. So, just by showing your support for her on the show you might be able to help make it happen.

To the writer of this entry, could you tell where you got the rumor of Katharine McPhee from? I didn’t see this rumor anywhere on the internet.

I think that I found the rumor about Katharine McPhee on wikipedia, but I could be remembering wrong. I’d seen most of the names a few places. I wish I would have kept track better and been able to link, but I didn’t remember to do it.
Don’t see many of the above making it. The Katharine McPhee rumors are just from some small little fansite of hers. She’s not popular enough to make it and nobody really remebers her too much anymore to be considered. Melissa Joan Hart and Donny Osmond could be possibilities.

The Katharine McPhee rumor didn’t come from any fansite of hers, just from Wikipedia and this site here.
Donny Osmond may be on a future Dancing with the Stars, but one report I found says that Donny Osmond couldn’t do it this season because of his show in Las Vegas. Of course, that could just be rumor also. Take it for what it’s worth. This list is like my other list of people that we’d like to see on the show as much as it is expectation that this is who will be announced on Sunday.
This is the work of a guy I know Uplink2 who goes around the net posting these rumors like they are fact and planting these on wikipedia. Others are just blurbs on websites that he finds and posts them everywhere like it is fact. He is always wrong. At first I didn’t think it was a big deal, just wishful thinking on his part on people he likes. But now I see otherwise, the guy is a total tool.
If it’s true that “Brett Favre” is gonna be one of the cast members, I hope they give him his
“quarter-back”! LOL!
better yet…..if he’s dancing on the show….

Regardless if it’s true, I think it’s a brilliant idea! It would be total exposure to a new audience and she’d win tons of fans. Kat would also have a prime promotion spot for her new CD, probably by May she would be dropping her first single and could perform it on the show.
Also, a possibility is her joining the DWTS Tour and performing a music set from her CD; similiar to what Toni Braxton did on the tour. I saw the show this past, December and it is a damn awesome show, full of energy and those pros are sooo, sooo good! It would be a great exposure to the DWTS audience, and surely they’d buy her CD when it’s released later in the year.
You can almost rule out McPhee now in light of recent news. She’ll be shooting a movie in Hawaii for five weeks starting in Mid-March, and she’s the female lead, so there’s no way she can do that and Dancing With The Stars at the same time, especially since DWTS requires so much outside preparation and practice.
Oops, I forgot to mention I think it’s a brilliant idea for Katharine McPhee to be on DWTS in the above post.

You’re ridiculous. The worst part of Brett Favre being on DWTS would be that sportscenter would continue to talk about him all the time.

A movie lead probably wouldn’t go with DWTS. However, Hawaii is as close as NY to LA. So, if it’s not too demanding of a role it could work. Although, I’m with you that it probably won’t happen.

I’ll Tell You Who Would be Great on DWTS!….DEBORAH FOREMAN!!
She use to come into my art gallery and I can tell you she is just as beautiful as ever and she is in incredible shape!
She told me she does a lot of Yoga so I know she would be in great shape to do a lot of dancing.
I would love to see her on DWTS!
Deborah Foreman is still just as cute as she was in Vally Girl.
