Most of the other stars that have been on the show have been touring or performing during DWTS and so him being on the AI tour wouldn't be anything new either. I do think the contract thing will be interesting. They own you once you sign that contract and like you said, I'm not sure he'll be able to get out of his AI contract. Certainly would be a nice ratings boost for Dancing with the Stars to bring on a bunch of young American Idol fans who will vote like crazy.

Isn't that precisely why he did Idol? Didn't he run into ALL kinds of backlash because of the way that was pushed on the show? Give it a rest. Go start your career. Come back in a few years (if you must) and you need another jolt to let people know you exist.
