Melissa, from here on out referred to as MJH, is probably one of the better known members of this seasons cast – outside of Donny Osmond that is.  MJH is best known for starring as Sabrina in the TV show Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996 – 2003).  According to her Wiki page, she’s also a TV Director, singer and a business woman, having opened a shop in May of 2009 (Sweet Harts Candy Shop).  MJH has a much more extensive filmography than I realized; her first TV role was as Clarissa in Clarissa Explains it all. This show ran for four years on Nickelodeon and spawned two pop rock albums with MJH singing, one of which won a Parents’ Choice Award.

MJH is 33 years old and married with two children.  At the time I’m writing this we don’t know who her dance partner is, but the speculation ranges from Mark Ballas to Derek Hough to Louis Van Amstel.

Aaron Carter is moderately successful pop singer known more for his relationships (Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan) and for being the younger brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys fame.  This guy is the male that should wrap up the tween/teen vote – whatever he can wrest away from the hot male pros on this show, that is.   One of his fansites (and his Wiki IS a fansite, essentially – some stuff you just don’t wanna know) claims he is a dancer who has done his own choreography.  Nothing unusual this season, unfortunately. Aaron also has something of an acting career – coincidentally, one of his credits is Sabrina the Teenage Witch starring…Melissa Joan Hart.

Aaron is 6′ tall and 21 years old, born in Tampa, Florida - and already paired with Karina Smirnoff; many are predicting that Karina might make him cry.  The mean and twisted part of me hopes she does. Hey, it’s an entertainment show!!

It’s official. Karina Smirnoff and Aaron Carter were found at their first practice for Dancing with the Stars. Aaron Carter is disappointed that Karina’s engaged. Although, he also looked scared of Maks. Karina Smirnoff also doesn’t seem so happy about having 16 couples. Check out the video of Aaron and Karina after DWTS practice.

I also have to give props to Heidi for predicting that Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff would be partners.
