Lots of good stuff in this episode!  I still love the Lion King number, but that may be because that’s one of the shows I’ve not seen in it’s entirety.

I thought the Adam Carolla bit about the Men’s Pep Talk was just hilarious. Very well done by all. :-)

The Patrick Swayze Tribute was beautifully done, however, I doubt I’ll get any argument when I say there is NO replacing the original. Farewell Patrick.

i will copy my comments from the athor post for here:

      Adam Carola was really funny

Heidi i agree with you ,i liked the jonathan and Anna portion the best too.

Is just me or Tony is looking really weird this season, his face change , i don’t know ,he just didn’t look like his normal self.

the paso won the design dance(so happy) ,but the music choices are weird:

Gipsy Kings – Bamboleo( is more like a salsa song than a paso)

Andre Rieu – Espana Cani (very tradicional paso song, but on dwts site they put Anne Rieu ,the guy name is Andre, they put the wrong name)

Survivor – Eye Of The Tiger( the pros alredy dance to this song in season 4, so why is this song in the list)

duran duran -Notorious ( i cant imagine a paso with this song)

Dead or Alive- You Spin Me Round( this was Sabrina and MArk paso song, again why this song is there)

i dont have idea who song i’m going to vote

I loved the Adam Corolla bit. I wish they would do one with the girls…idk who would do it but I’d love to see it. I also liked the ‘Losers Club’ thing. It was a bit cheesy but cheese is fun! Lion King was amazing!

The tribute gave me chills and I couldn’t help but tear up a little. Patrick Swayze was an amazing man and beautiful dancer.

Last night was the first time i have ever seen dancing with stars…it actually wasn’t too bad. Does anyone happen to know what song played? i dont remember the couple, but they did a salsa dance to it, the lyrics were something like “1 plus 1 is 2″ or something like that? i had company over so cant be sure….anyone know what im talking about?

Did everybody else think how amazing it is to watch Jon and Anna dance together. I have always loved watching them dance together is amazing and now seeing them make out is awesome too :)

Phillippe, there are several different versions of Bamboleo. The one they used for Zorro: The Musical (written by TGK) is more of a Paso.

      Shaide,
Welcome to Dancing with the Stars. It can be very addicting.

You can find the list of songs from DWTS: http://www.puredwts.com/tag/dancing-with-the-stars-music/ That link will have the latest music we’ve found from the show. We’re not perfect, but we try our best.

I think the song you’re looking for is: Natalie & Alec that danced a Salsa to the song 1 + 1 = 2 Lou Bega - A Little Bit of Mambo - 1+1=2 by Lou Bega

I was really looking forward to the tribute to Swayze, in fact it was the only reason I watched last night. The dancing was great but the lousy (as usual) singing really took some of the impact away. I wish the had gone instrumental or used the original songs.

    7. # Tabitha commented on September 24th, 2009:

Lisa-I was really disappointed that they didn’t use the soundtrack….especially with She’s Like the Wind
Patrick Swayze sang that (and if I’m not mistaken wrote it but not positive on that) and I would really have liked to hear his voice. I think it’s time for a change.

swayze wrote and performed the song.

and as an inveterate watcher of dance and variety shows, and even parades and half times, i really am totally over the over the top production values of circle. it was magnificent in its concept and context, but it suffers from rank over exposure. imho.

While I did tear up a little at the tribute and thought it was a beautiful celebration of a fantastic life, I couldn’t help but feel like the whole thing was a bit…well, recycled. Chelsie & Dmitry’s portion, while visually stunning, felt like their routine to “Over the Rainbow” last season, simply re-worked to fit “She’s Like the Wind”. And while I loved Tony & Cheryl’s mambo to “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”, it was the same routine they performed several seasons ago. The only thing that felt fresh and exciting to me was Jonathan & Anna’s portion – god, I adore these two (and not just because Anna is a fellow redhead! :-D ). It was a real treat to see them dancing together, as I can recall the last time I saw them coupled together on the show. Just lovely :-) Not trying to detract at all from the performance, because it was a good one, but I just wish they had freshened it up a bit and maybe made it a bit longer – it felt like it was too short a tribute to someone who’s life made such an impact on the dance world. Just sayin’ :-)

Courtney i so agree with you ,after Dimitri and Chelsie finish the first think that i thought was the over the rainbow dance, just one more thing ,is Dimitri like Edyta allergic to clothes , even in the v.waltz the guy was in rumba shirt and every pro dance he is with his shirt open.

    11. # John commented on September 24th, 2009:

      Courtney,
I thought Jonathan and Anna were great together. I’m not a huge fan of either, but I am a fan of married couples dancing to great music.

      Phillipe,
I think that Dmitry’s shirt open thing goes back to his SYTYCD days when Cat Deeley made a big deal out of Dmitry dancing that way. One time he didn’t and got “in trouble” by Cat and company that he didn’t do it. I’m guessing his fans don’t mind.

To be honest the only part that i’ve liked from the tribute was when jonathan and ana danced! it was magic really loved it! dimitry and chelsie did great but i don’t know the chemistry was lackin a lil bit! and the dirty dancin part, i agree with Philippe Tony is a bit weird plus i didn’t like this section with cheryl i’m sorry! i didn’t like it the first time neither! i looove patrick swayze but i think the pros hold there selfs on this one!
