I admit that I wasn’t really wow’d by the Ballas Hough performance by Mark and Derek. The dancing was entertaining, but I was hoping for a little more. In fact, I was hoping that they’d have the other professional ballroom dancers perform. That would have been really cool I think.

That said, the song “Move” is pretty good and really takes Ballas Hough into a completely different area of music. You can download “Move” by Ballas Hough on iTunes Ballas Hough - Move - Single - Move and Amazon.

Here’s the video of the Ballas Hough Dancing with the Stars performance:

The other guest performers on Dancing with the Stars were:
Colbie Caillat singing “Fallin’ for You” Colbie Caillat - Breakthrough (Deluxe Version) - Fallin' for You while Alec Mazo and Edyta Śliwińska danced in the following video:

Rod Stewart singing “It’s the Same Old Song” Rod Stewart - Soulbook - It's the Same Old Song with the Rod Stewart’s dancers

I like their new song, but it was pretty obvious that they weren’t singing… I think I preferred the music they sang with Almost Amy… but, the song is not bad, I’m just not really into clubby sounding stuff… Still love them both, though.

      Blake,
That’s basically how I felt as well. However, I think it’s genius of them to have music which they can dance to. I’ve always thought that Julianne should include her dancing as part of her shows. Not that she’s a bad singer, but why not do both and differentiate yourself from all the other singers? I think Mark and Derek should do the same.

They were singing, but to a track, which is often how they do these types of songs. Listen at the beginning and you can clearly hear Mark go off pitch a touch. Derek is definitely the stronger singer and I think the original version of this song had Derek singing the whole way through. This is the song that he and Cheryl danced to at the Disney thing – it’s been a bit re-mixed since then. They also shortened the song last night and changed a line to make it family friendly. They took out the entire bridge for last night’s version, I believe, which was my favorite part of the song.

What was Derek wearing when he recorded this song, Heidi? Man you are amazing Heidi. No wonder we had to give you the name Princess Heidi.

I knew they were probably singing a little, along with the track… but at certain points you could see them both not singing or mouthing the words a little off. I didn’t say it was bad, just not really my style. I love Derek, but that doesn’t mean I am going to automatically love all of his music…

I liked it! I think I’ll be downloading it soon! I did think that it sounded familar and I couldn’t figure out why…thanks for helping me figure that out Heidi!

Hey John, what happened to my Backstreet Boys? ;)

Sorry Tabitha. I saw something that said it would be the Backstreet Boys, but I guess it was wrong. My bad!
