The DWTS Season 10 Cast Revealed – Part I
And the final member of the cast is Jake Pavelka, the Bachelor. Oh gag me.
They best not have Damien on GMA tomorrow lest they want to get hate mail. I’m hoping that person is the new co-host. Anyway, I have a brief profile of each the cast members prepared – since I had a pretty good feeling of who many of them were going to be before hand. Also happy to see that I speculated on many of them long ago. There were a few surprises which is refreshing. :-)

I agree that Erin Andrews is also a high potential partner — hopefully for Tony.

I really hope Anna doesn’t get paired with Buzz!! I’d like to see different pros at the final such as Anna, Maks and Chelsie
I’m so glad Ochocinco is on. He will be hilarious. That guy needs a talk show or something.
Erin Andrews is interesting after the whole peeping tom thing. I bet they wanted her on before, but held off until most people forgot about it. Although, I guess the show kind of likes a little controversy.
wow… I was really not expecting Evan to do it this season… I’m a little annoyed that he’s doing this in favor of going to Worlds to defend his title but with Plushy going maybe it’s a good thing so Evan doesn’t get hurt…
He’s the only one I’m rooting for… Sad cast… probably THE worst cast in the show…
I hope Anna/Edyta gets paired with Chad/Evan (either combination) so they both have a chance at making it far.

Maks has paid his dues? ROFLMAO. Everyone on this show works hard and has paid their dues.
And he has certainly gotten his share of ringers. Yet he hasn’t fully delivered for them-at least in some of the choreography.
Which is not to say that I don’t think he is a great dancer—but he sure as hell isn’t mistreated by TPTB. Since Karina is out—-I’d say he WAS favored by them.
Also Heidi, just a typo, it’s Figure Skating, the only time “ice” appears is in Ice Dancing with is under Figure Skating
I predict the following pairings for male celebs:
For Evan: I’d like to see him with either Anna or Edyta–especially since neither woman’s husband is on the show. Gotta stay on a long time and pay the bills! I love Cheryl but since she has already won twice.
Aiden Turner will get Anna or Edyta.
Buzz Aldrin with Kym or whoever replaces her.
For Chad I’d say Cheryl. I think they have been tweeting each other.
For Jake: Probably Chelsie. Only sinch I heard he is short. Unless they give her BUZZ as a pairing between the youngest and oldest contestants—but
I doubt it.
I predict the following pairings for female celebs:
For Pam I’d guess she’d be partnered with Pam. Paired together they could stay on most of the season. On Twitter Louis said that Kelly liked his new partener. I could see Pam and Kelly getting along.
For Niecy Nash I’d say they should pair her with Maks just for the fireworks that would surely happen. I fear she’ll be paired with Louis–but I don’t think they’d mesh well.
Shannen Doherty I’d put with Mark. Many have commented that he wasn’t that nice to Melissa last season. I don’t think Shannen would put up with any percieved attitude for a partner.
Kate G I would pair with Tony. They are about the same age and IIRC Tony is the only pro with a family. I think he is also based on the East coast, as I believe she is, so that could work out better for both of them.
Erin Andrews will probbly be paired with either Derek or The new guy. Since she is blond–I’d say Derek.
Nicole Scherzinger will probably be paired with the new guy since she is a ringer and they would probably want to give the new guy a good start. Especially if some of the popular pros are nearing the end of their contracts. But I could see her paired with any of the pros.
I predict the winner of season ten will be Evan and his pro partner. But, I think that he’d have been better off to wait until at least the fall edition to appear on the show. Having JUST won his gold medal–he’d already have a lot of other opportunities to keep his name out there and establish himself outside of the Olympic games.
Cori, Shawn was on DWTS right after the Olympics so I don’t know *shrugs*

Don’t mind Joanie – she’s a Maks lover. Derek has paid as many dues as Maks, but some of his fans are a tad jealous. 
Maks has gotten ringers – Derek never has.
We’re still missing a female pro, Oz, by my count. So who knows?
The new pro should not get showcased on GMA, that’s what I mean. It’s bad enough that Dmitry, Alec and Jonathan aren’t on this season because of him. As for the rest of your post – LOL, yer lookin’ a bit GREEN. Right, Lil Kim, Joanna and Shannon were easy street and we all know that Brooke Burke had a HUGE fanbase <—-sarcasm. Maks, on the other hand, has had an obvious ringer in Mel B and an Olympian in Misty May. Yeah, right he's had it SO hard, the poor thing. Spare me. Maks has paid no more dues than any of the pros on DWTS and it's actually a CREDIT to Derek that he could take people who couldn't dance or who had baggage and take them so far.
Well, Jennifer, they do like to give Maks the ringers from time to time. If only Derek were so lucky. He won’t get Erin, she’s too tall – although they would be pretty together.
Well, to say I am disappointed beyond belief would be true. I love Dmitry. Period. I have followed him since SYTYCD days. Why do they need this new guy? I also enjoy Jonathan and Alec. I haven’t missed a season, but I am not really impressed with this line-up except Evan Lysacek. How did they get him for this season? As mentioned, I wish he had waited a year. With his possible endorsements, he dosen’t need the money.
I was impressed with Maks for a few years. Now, I can take him or leave him. Oh, well…

I can’t tell you that I’m excited to have a male skater on (though I do slightly wish (just slightly) that it was Scott Hamilton) here… Yes. I think Evan is a heavy hitter though not a ringer (that would be Nicole. She’s a trained Dancer). Evan is just a really hard worker… Evan puts a lots of trust in his coaches so that will be important for him.

I don’t think Evan is doing it for the money. He’s probably doing it because he needs a break from Skating. He’s been going non stop since 2008 and he’s been a fan of the show since Kristi Yamaguchi was on the show (he’s a good friend of hers).

I actually disagree with Derek not having it easy. Wanna know why? Because no matter who he has, Carrie Ann LOVES him and always gives him high scores. Im sorry but him and his partner could dance the same as Maks and his partner and they’d have way different scores. And im not even a Maks fan.
How can you say Brooke Burke, Lil Kim didn’t have a huge fan base? You pointed out two ‘ringers’ that Maks had. Fanbase or not I think Derek had alot better “athletic” type and that makes dancing a little bit easier.
KC, or should I say Kim (which do you prefer since you are posting under both names?), Brooke came in as an unknown model – that is a distinct disadvantage. Lil’ Kim was a rapper fresh out of PRISON and was widely thought to be out quickly because of her mouth and her record. How anyone can say that having these two, plus Joanna who “couldn’t walk” when she first got on the show and came with her own Superstar baggage, is “easy” is playing a revisionist history game. Because Derek actually overcame pretty big obstacles to get as far as he did with his partners. Carrie Ann?? Me thinks you best LOOK at the scores again – she never favored him with Joanna. She might have with Lil’Kim, but then Len waited until Kim’s last week to give her better than an 8 – hardly favoritism.
I just love all the people that think Derek’s had it easy – ridiculous. What he and his partners have done is overcome a lot to get ahead.
Oh, Katrina, I think that Evan is the biggest ringer of the season (although Nicole is one also) – not because of skating, but because of how recent his gold medal win is – I mean, it was TWO weeks ago and he seems very popular right now. He might even be the Donny Osmond (although likely a better dancer) of the season. If he doesn’t go final two I will be stunned. I think his ringer status is way ahead of Nicole’s for that reason. But you know what – if they’re going to have ringers (and it seems like they need to every season), I’m glad it’s two pros who’ve never had ringers before! Anna T is fierce and I got to like her last season – I think she’ll do well with him.

I agree with that definition of ringer, in terms of popularity.
As for Brooke being unknown, she wasn’t that unknown. She was a model and a host on E!
When it comes to the voting audience for DWTS, Brooke was unknown. Now, my (male) boss who is in his late 30′s knew who she was, but the only people around me who knew who she was were male and VERY unlikely to vote on DWTS. That makes a HUGE difference. That’s why it might be harder for Nicole to do well – her fanbase doesn’t intersect heavily with the DWTS voters. She will need a few weeks being a good dancer (and having Derek doesn’t hurt) – similar to Brooke. On the other hand, EVERYONE probably knows Evan. Mya was one of the technically best dancers the show has had (and was a ringer similar to Nicole only better known) – but I don’t think she ever stood a chance against Donny.
Oh Katrina, I didn’t mean to say Evan needs the money. Sorry. I think Evan established some goals, like U.S., World Championship, and the Gold Medal. He reached those goals so why not try something different? He will be in the Finale and probable winner.
Johnny Weir has said he’d like to compete on the show. Now, that would be interesting and probably fun!
Aimzee, I wouldn’t watch if Johnny was on. I can’t stand him, not so much for what he’s done recently but his past actions.
