New Pure DWTS Comment System
When I moved Pure DWTS to the new server, I decided I’d try out a new commenting system for the site as well. I think that people will like the new comments because they have cool things like replies to other people’s comments, avatar’s, and lots of other little features that I’m sure you’ll figure out over time.
There are still a lot of tweaks I can make to the comment system. So, if something really annoys you about it, I can try and improve it. Overall, I think it will provide a better platform for discussion of topics. It should also help the site to load faster. This should be especially true in threads with a TON of comments.
Let me know what you think of the changes. We’re all ready for the premiere of Dancing with the Stars 2010.

Sorry, the only good thing is that the pages load better and the comments load faster. Other that I lothe Disqus. The fact that every single time it asks me to register (I don't want to) and it sends me multiple emails even when I tell it not to (I have another blogger friend that uses it). Sorry John but I hate and lothe disqus commenting system.
Sorry Katrina. Yes, there are some things about it that I don't like
either. Most importantly is that I can't have multiple profiles across
various niches that I like to read about. I like having multiple personas.
However, I really wanted to turn on the ability to reply to people's
comments directly. So, we're going to give this a try. After a little
while if I get lots of complaints, I can always roll back to the previous
comment system.
The site loading faster will happen no matter which comment system we use.
It loads faster now since it's on its own server instead of being shared
with the rest of the Pure TV Network of websites.

Here's another issue I'm getting and I don't know if it's Disqus or my computer but half the time when I click on the comments, there will just be a status bar that says loading and it doesn't finish loading. I'll refresh the page and it'll load the comments…
So far Disqus hasn't emailed me so maybe it's just the other blog that uses it, their system…
