Spoilers!! DWTS Season 10, Week 8 – The Scorecard
Well, really, what is there to say? Everyone called Niecy as the one to go, and she went. Chad was in the bottom two with her and yes, they did call it a bottom 2. No controversy, no shocks…well, other than the Dance Center boys lumping Mark Ballas in as one of the beautiful “women” that Derek has danced with. I’m sorry…I laughed my ass off. It’s wrong, I know.
The Predictions:
Heidi: Predicted pretty solid that Niecy would go with Chad sharing Bottom 2 duties. Correct.
Courtney; Predicted, also pretty solid, that Niecy would be the one to go with Chad also in the bottom 2.
Marianya, as usual, has the harder job, as she predicts the scoring before the dances have actually happened. Here’s how she did:
Dancer/Predicted Score/Actual Score
Nicole/57/59
Evan/54/53
Erin/48/53
Chad/49/45
Niecy/46/43
She did pretty good!! Under rated Nicole a bit, but that’s valid based on LEN. Pretty much called Evan. The rest? Well, she underestimated Erin, but I would imagine that’s based mainly on Maks’ less than stellar track record. I would say she over estimated both Chad and Niecy, but actually I think she got them right and the judges got them WRONG.
In Summary:
Heidi: Well, me and Courtney are kicking butt, but I don’t expect that to hold as we advance to the really unpredictable stretch. If the fans are actually voting on dancing, at this point, Chad should be the next to go, but you know what? I’m not so sure that Erin and Nicole shouldn’t be the final 2. Evan has got to pick up his pace. EVERYTHING will depend on the dances that get assigned next week, especially for Evan and Erin. But that’s all based on dancing, and we know that’s not always how people vote. Evan still has the edge based on fanbase, but I’m starting to be persuaded that maybe he’s not got the lock on it that I think he does. This might be the season where it really does come down to the freestyle.
Courtney?? Marianya?

Not a whole lot to say here – we were right, although I think this week was pretty easy to call: I honestly couldn’t see anyone BUT Niecy going home, as she was the lowest scorer & had been in the bottom 2 twice before. Chad SHOULD be next, but I agree with you that there could be a shakeup whereby Evan doesn’t make it to the finale – fanbase aside, I think his fans could be getting lulled into a false sense of security, as he’s been scoring decently well & hasn’t been in the bottom 2 before – it’s not like it’s never happened, a contender for the finale getting sent home early (Sabrina Bryan, anyone?). He’s also been relatively ho-hum the past few weeks, so those who are actually voting based on who performs the best week after week may be forgetting about him. I honestly hope he steps it up next week, because he does deserve to be in the finale – and Chad definitely does not.
Yay I did a little bit better than I thought I would with scores…
I happy… though I messed up the bottom two, but ah well. Next week should be interesting to see how everyone does. Chad should be the one to go… but I’m kind of worried that he might not be. I say that because I agree with Courtney that Evan’s routines lately aren’t memorable, but I wonder if that’s because of Anna’s choreo, Evan’s personality or a combination of both. Maybe both, but I don’t remember Anna’s choreo with Jerry Rice being bad… but that could also be because Jerry’s personality came out more than Evan’s?
I just HOPE Chad finally leaves next week! I hope Evan or Erin actually win this thing….i know Evan will put his game face on !
Well, assuming that the dancers will get their final unlearned dances… I think Nicole and Derek will be awesome next week. They should have the Argentine Tango and ChaChaCha, and you know that they will kill both of those dances. I think next week also HAS to be the kiss of death for Chad. Waltz and Samba? I just don’t see it happening. I also agree with everyone else…Even has sort of come to a standstill as terribly nice but boring. The DanceCenter guys nailed it. Excited for next week, and even more so, the finale!
Past Olympians had huge fan bases and I think Evan does too.
Apollo Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi and Shawn Johnson. I still think he will win over Nicole.
Frankly her crying and carrying on in rehearsals, provoke some strenuous eye-rolling in my house. No sympathy for her. She ‘s crying because she’s perfect? She needs to get a grip
Evan may not be Mr Excitement but he’ll get our votes every time over MIss Annoying Thang
True. Nicole has the personality of a bitter onion. I think her votes get a huge boost from the popularity of Derek. He is Gene Kelly reincarnated and always has a positive attitude.
Evan and Anna are both dolls. She always looks lovely and the judges need to give her some credit. I hope they win over that self-absorbed Nicole. She is such a bore
Ahhh…the fan wars begin. I thought I smelled something in the air.
I’ll tell you, I much prefer Nicole’s (and Evan’s, for that matter) personality and her interaction with Derek to Erin’s. At least Nicole and Evan keep it about themselves instead of talking about OTHER people, which is quite tacky. Me thinks there is a good bit of jealousy going on there.
Its not fan wars, its other people telling their opinions. God forbid someone say something bad about Nicole…your site says something bad about every other contestant but her. I agree with aonea and dwts fan. Nicole is very unlikeable and if she didn’t have likable Derek as a partner she would have been gone already.
Actually Allison, it IS fan wars – because certain individuals choose to keep posting the same, pure emotion-driven attacks & insults about whatever contestant they’re hating on (be it Nicole or not), rather than backing up their opinions with logic & facts. Every week it’s “Nicole is a bitch”, “Nicole is whiney”, “Nicole has the personality of a bitter onion” (that was actually a personal fave, because it’s a rather appropos assessment of some of the people that post here). It’s inane, it’s stupid, and it’s getting old.
Anyone is free to express their opinion – just do it calmly and intelligently, rather than slinging insults. It only detracts from your argument and makes you look dumb.
And honey, we’re equal opportunity offenders here – I personally have said at least one negative thing about every contestant this season. Don’t make blanket assumptions.
Allison, it is exactly fan wars – any other assessment is just naive. When all some fans can do is call names and make blanket statements – which assume that EVERYONE thinks as they do, when nothing could be further from the truth – what else would you call it? When you come here and say things about Nicole when you have no more to base it on than you do your love for Erin or Evan or whoever – what do you call it?? Certainly not rational or intelligent.
And LOL, Courtney. Yes, people really should look in the mirror before starting with the broad generalizations of someone else’s personality.
Wow – just looked because I realized that CassieLynn and HyperPyper were the same person and come to find out this DWTS Fan, aonea, ep, Jada and Elaine ALL have the same IP address and in many cases the same email address. LOL – heads up Courtney, you were disagreeing with a multiple personality. LOL. And she used at least four different names in response to ONE post. I gotta tell you that the assertions of “lots of people agree with me” carry less and less weight all the time.
On, and ep/aonea/Jada – whoever you are – we have lots of traffic.
You’ve been outed.
Oh wow…if this really is a bona fide case of dissociative identity disorder, I should call my sis – could be a legit basis for her Ph.D thesis! Especially since less than 1% of the world population is diagnosed with it each year. Fascinating
In reality, this is likely not a case of dissociative identity disorder, but a case of I-can’t-cite-empirical-evidence-to-support-my-claims-so-I’m-going-to-fabricate-public-agreement-of-them disorder. Takes me back to my high school composition class, where the edict of “You can say anything you want, as long as you back it up with research citations” was drilled into our heads day after day: the less motivated members of the class would cite books & articles that didn’t exist, and use the skewed results of their own polls & surveys to make it seem as though they had a valid opinion. But Mrs. Otterman, the Nazi that taught the class, would ALWAYS check sources that looked suspicious, and would give you an automatic F if she found out they weren’t real. Moral of the story? Fake citations = epic fail. I think it’s a good metaphor for our daily lives
