DWTS Season 11 – The Odds on Favorite to Win (Again)
John posted these rankings for season 10 at about the same time, so I thought I would post them again (source: SportsBookGurus). They’re kinda odd. Derek, I understand, since he just won. What I don’t get is why Mark is hanging on in the third spot, tied with Julianne and ahead of Maks and Cheryl. He has two wins (with Olympians), but he also went out first last season. Weird. I guess in the absence of a partner, this is a ranking of popularity and star power, like John said last season. If THAT is the case, I’m still not sure I agree. I think I would put Cheryl higher than Maks and Mark.

The only reason I can put Mark as high as Julianne and close to Derek is that he’s more likely to be on the next season of DWTS. I won’t be surprised if either Hough is on the next season of DWTS. We’ll see.
Cheryl and Maks should definitely be higher based on Star power. I’d also put Chelsie a bit higher because of her teaching ability too. Ana has moved up too. At least on my list. She came alive this season. We’ll see if she can continue it with another partner.
I’m kinda surprised that Damian is as high as he is, after only being on the show one season and finishing in 6th place out of 11 couples. I don’t know that I would necessarily rank him ahead of Louis or even Tony…but then again, maybe they’re counting on Damian to get younger, more able-bodied partners than Tony or Louis, and it has less to do with his teaching abilities. Could also explain why Corky is dead last – poor guy will probably get stuck with all the geriatric women, if he ever does the show again, hehehehe
Side note: While I appreciate the thoroughness of them running the odds for every single pro that’s ever been on the show, I think they could have saved some time by omitting all the pros that have made it abundantly clear that they will NEVER do the show again (Charlotte Jorgensen, Inna Brayer, Jesse DeSoto). The odds for those 3 could have just been put down as “infinity” – since you can’t win if you don’t participate

I am not going to predict next season. All the pros are great I mean it. They all come with their own flava. I like all of them but if I absolutely had to pick one < I would pick Dmitry Chaplin, He works hard, (I pant seeing him dance and im on the couch watching.)It is a contest so anyone can win. Mark’s popular? Cheryl, Maks and Chelsie all seem more popular than Mark. Corky deserves to be in the bottom because I doubt they will ever ask him again.
I hope Derek comes back. He’s the choreographer extrordinaire…He needs to get an emmy for some of the stuff he was able to do this season.
