   Yeah, the way he said “next year” could mean anything. Either he’s on this season, the next Spring season, or he’s just pulling someone’s leg. Though I always figured he’d be on not long after Emmitt won…so I’m not too surprised by this one (if it is indeed true).

   The only thing, I know that ABC doesn’t like people blabbing, so since nothing has been announced yet, they can still pull the plug on him being on this season.

   Oh…. And I will admit that this is almost the low quality of TMZ, but it’s being reported in more than one place. Still, like all rumors, take with a grain of salt until ABC decides to tell us who is on.

   It’s only being reported in more than one place because everyone is quoting TMZ – even the article you linked sources TMZ. Happens all the time – one person reports something and everyone else copies it, like I did. Doesn’t make it more valid – it might just SEEM more valid because you see it all over the place.

   I doubt it is real. He has numerous times he is not crazy (as he sees it) like Michael Irvin or Emmitt Smith to do this show. He also has quite an ego from what I read and I bet he thinks he is too good to do this show. They asked him for awhile and doubt he will do it now. I prefer Kurt Warner.
