DWTS Season 11 – Cast Rumors from Chelsie Hightower
She gives the list of the ones she heard and one of which I forgot to mention: David Hasselhoff. His name has been bandied about some this week and of course Landon Donovan is still out there as a rumor. Also, based on this interview, I think Derek and Chelsie were told there were going to be on the show because TPTB knew they would be asked while doing press at the Emmys – Derek is usually more careful if he doesn’t actually know if he’s on or not.
Chelsie’s pretty pumped for Donovan. Maybe she’s been assigned to him already.
I am thrilled for Ali and Roberto. I haven’t watched the Bachelor series in years, but this season I stumbled upon the last episode and I’m smitten with these kittens.
If Hasselhof can stay sober, he’d be interesting old man casting.
I don’t know if Ali and Roberto are for real in the cast, or if that’s someone else’s wild guess. I’ve also hear Vienna a few times, but I think that’s bogus as well. I wouldn’t mind Ali being on – she seems cool and it would probably make John happy.
As for The Situation, Audrina and Brandy? I got 10 bucks that ABC leaked those names themselves. It also occurs to me that Derek is so sure he’s on this season because he’s getting either Audrina or Brandy. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Who are Audrina and Brandy? I don’t know these people.
I only know the “situation” when Obama made fun of him and ‘snooky’ about their tans.
Audrina Patridge from The Hills – most people don’t know her because most people don’t watch The Hills.

Ali…stunningly beautiful. I’d definitely watch that. I didn’t watch the bachelorette. I’d just put it on mute and every once in a while watch Ali. Plus, she’s a nerd. She worked at Facebook. How hot is that?
@John, I agree Ali is beautiful, love to see her on, and I’m also digging her fiance..the mighty easy on the eyes Roberto, who, in addtion to being one hunk of a man, has rhythm!
Well I got another report that Ali and Roberto may not be on at all. I guess the producers are really sticking it to Reality Steve if that’s the case. He’s been the spoiler guru for that show and he used to have reliable sources. Kinda sad though, I really like this couple and it would have been fun to see them.
Any more word about Karina and Johnny Weir? Apparently Johnny is in LA and has cleared his schedule for the next few months.
The Johnny fans have gone kinda quiet, actually (thank you), Andie. As for Reality Steve – he’s the spoiler king for The Bachelor series, not DWTS. If his source is specifically tied to The Bachelor, then I wouldn’t expect accuracy for DWTS.
Andie, Johnny’s schedule is booked solid for the next six months or so. He was briefly in LA recently to judge a Drag Race and meet with the producer of his new single, but did not attend the dwts cast party at Silk on 8/20. He has several dates booked in September for skating and more artbook projects in China, Japan and I think Russia. Also, he just now signed an agreement to perform at The Staples Center in October.
My question is, when someone signs an agreement to work on dwts, isn’t it true that you must make yourself completely available to the network and the producers/owners of the show for the full term of the season? Meaning, you cannot work on other projects while signed to dwts. Evan worked on other ice shows, but he was previously signed to these ice shows and couldn’t back out of them.
Thanks for the update Luna. Yes, you do make yourself completely available, of course Evan Lysacek was skating every weekend with Stars on Ice all over the country while the show was on. Johnny’s performance at the Staples Centre could easily work with his schedule, but the other things overseas, probably not.
