DWTS Season 11 Old Rumor Redux – Johnny Weir, et al
Okay, why am I suddenly hearing all this internet chatter about Johnny being in Los Angeles for the long haul?? Someone want to clue me in? 
Or is this all about a certain website that claims to have a leaked cast that includes Johnny, Jennifer, Kirsti Alley, Florence Henderson, David Hasselhoff, Jon Gosselin, Rachel Uchitel, Audrina Patridge, Kurt Warner, Brandy….Most of these we’ve reported as possibilities, either recently or in the past. Is this a game of telephone, or the real deal? I hope it’s telephone, because this cast is skewing much too old and much too tabloid-y. But just think of the Cheesecake AWARDS!! OH! the rich material. 
All I know is he’s decided to not train for the competitive skating season.
Just got an update on Twitter, Damian’s not returning this season. He’ll only be on the results show.
It’s interesting because I tweeted him the other night and tried to see if he would admit to being on Dances with the Stars when he said he was flying to LA. He wrote that he would be really busy and unable to come home until next year. I said “Cool! I hope going to LA means what I think it means and a certain dancing show is in your near future.
Have a safe trip.” The next time he was tweeting, he didn’t answer but commented that he was flying to Japan next week. But, he deleted that post right afterwards which makes me wonder if he wasn’t trying to play games making us think he wasn’t doing it….trying to keep as tight lipped as possible. If you know Johnny’s manner, you know he would luv to mess with the fans and the press like that if he could. lol Anyway, I would bet my heart of hearts he’s a go for this show.
That’s too much of a mixed bag of cast members for me to trust. Oy. But yes…this season’s Cheesecake Awards are already looking splendid

Poor Damian…I really liked him. Alas, another laid back male pro gets handed a pink slip.
I checked out Johnny’s Twitter, and it looks like he was in Los Angeles for a few days but has left. I don’t think he explained why he was there, so that makes me wonder if its DWTS related. I get the feeling that anyone who’s not saying anything right now is going to be a part of next season. The only pro’s who have said anything about it are the ones who were told they wouldn’t be back.
I’m hoping that list is totally made up. I’d like to see some of those people on the show, but for the most part it sounds like a disaster.
I hope Johnny is a go. He’s relevant not a relic and since Karina seems to be over the moon, so maybe it’s more likely he’s on. A Russian Drama Queen, Lady Gaga Adam Lambert and Prince Poppycock all wrapped up in one couple on the dance floor. Too awesome.
Andie, you are so speaking for me. I love the thought of Johnny and Karina. Way hot and current. The creativity alone between the two will blow the roof off. And Johnny won’t be afraid to try any moves. It will be fun and full of fireworks. The only thing that will hurt them is the older or more conservative voters. I hope that isn’t the case.
@Voguerista No doubt, there will definitely be those that will hate the pairing, for various reasons, but they have to have an outrageous couple to make the show watchable. I also think Johnny will be a scary good dancer. He may get the “you’re not masculine enough” slam, but I love watching guys like Johnny for their creativity and flare. Pure “Glee” campiness.

Weir–doubtful for at least a couple more seasons. Skaters back to back is too repetative. Could be uncomfortable for the Pros that are close to Evan.
Doubt that TPTB put Derek with another singer–so Brandy is out. That probably means he is with the Hills chick or Jennifer. I hope he gets Jennifer if the list is true.
How many years has Florence Henderson been a potential and it never happens? Maybe this year?
Weir, I think the Pros do a job, and besides Karina isn’t necessarily close with Evan, if at all. If the NFL is a lock every season, then I think Professional figure skaters also have a sustained audience. I think it’s more about the ratings draw than anything else. The question is how many athletes will they cast in a season?
@Cori – I don’t think you have anything to worry about on the Rachel Uchitel front. As I’ve said time and time again (and it still astounds me that people are freaking out about this), she’s too trashy for ABC – they can afford to command the big stars after the massive success of season 10, so why would they go after tabloid rifraff like her? In addition, she just wrapped filming of Celebrity Rehab 4, and if this season follows the pattern of most of the other seasons, the patients will then be offered a stint on Sober House…and I see Rachel taking that opportunity, since she has nothing else going on. And even if she is on this season (again, HIGHLY doubtful), I doubt she’d stick around long – most housewives don’t really sympathize with homewreckers.
Kim Yu-Na is doing her 1st US skating show on Oct 2-3 at the Staples Center. Johnny Weir is scheduled to be in it. Could mean nothing as all the stars travel but also would be mighty convenient too.
The thing is though, neither pros nor celebs know who they get until the time they meet. They make a suggestion or something. Sometimes they get who they want and soemtimes they don’t.
I do remember through that Gilles met Cheryl month before DWTS during their tour in Chicago. I don’t think they knew they’d be partners though.

JWe was in LA to judge a Drag race and meet with producer of single. He will be overseas for the next few weeks and unable to make required rehearsals in September as agreed with DWTS. I have doubts and don’t want to get my hopes up.
