Dancing with the Stars Season 11 – Who’s Dancing with Who? Guess!!
We have a few days to have our fun of guessing and matching pros with celebs before they make the announcement of the celebs on Monday night and the pairings Tuesday morning on GMA. In the interest of fun, I’ve complied a little list of stats and then played matchy matchy. 
Personally, I think we’re missing at least THREE celebrities – I think one of the men listed below is wrong. Maybe more are wrong, we’ll have to wait and see.

As you can see, there are a few gaps. And I’d be willing to bet that a couple of these stars are wrong. I’m SURE I got a pairing wrong or two. The Kym/David pairing is per Just Jared. The Derek/Jennifer pairing is pretty much reported by everyone, and the Tony/Audrina pairing is based on Tony and his wife’s Twitter accounts. The Corky/Florence pairing was reported by TMZ, but a few of us had speculated this might be the case in the comments on another post.
Notice anything about their ages?? Every decade is represented except for someone in their 60′s. But what else? Three people aged 50 or older and two of those are older than 55. That’s unbelievable. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. We then have two people in their 40′s, two in their 30′s, two in their 20′s and one teenager. Crazy. I’m still wondering how many of these are red herrings put out by ABC/DWTS – I can’t wait till Monday.
No obvious ringers based on dance ability. But what about by fanbase? I think I would give the initial edge to Kurt Warner and Michael Bolton, but possibly also Jennifer Grey as a sentimental favorite (not to mention Derek’s own fanbase is nothing to sneeze at). Brandy and Audrina would appear to have an edge based on age and body type, but that’s what we said about Denise Richards. As it stands right now, if either Maks or Tony aren’t in the final, then THEY have the problem – everything seems to be in their favor, if these pairings are correct. And I’m reasonably certain Tony’s is, and that limits the possibilities for the rest of the guys. Can you see another way the men could match up?
As for the women, as usual I’m rather in the dark there, guessing up a storm. Plus I think that Michael Bolton isn’t really on the show. You will notice that ABC claims only 12 couples – but I’ve got 13 pros up there. So, who’s NOT in that we think is in?? Louis? Karina??

I think either Edyta or Karina aren’t in. I sure hope Karina is dancing this season. She’s my favourite female pro.
I woulnt be surprised if they got a surprise cast member and it really is 13 couple. it sho wouldnt be the first time plus i aint totally buying alot of these rumors because i think abc is really keeping the lid on it because i mean if u remember they at first had Kristie Alley and Landom Donavon ” Confirmed ” and it looks like they aint doing it. Thoughts? Also i really hope they bring back the Texas Two Step, Bolero, Charleston, and Lambada i loved those dances esspecialy the Two Step! Mark and Lacey’s in season 9 was fantastic!!!!
We are still missing the Olympian, Bachelor person and soap star from the list. I really hope they surprise us big time. Season 10′s cast is pretty hard to top and so far this one is not wowing me at all. At this point, I’d only watch for Jennifer Grey.

I hope Karina is in also – I think if she’s not it’s a real shame. I don’t like the double standard that people have toward Karina when it was Maks doing most of the snide comments to the press after they broke up. And it’s snide comments from other women, which just makes me sad.
Zack, I wonder if Kirsti is part of the cast and she’s fibbing to keep the secret. But I do think there are some errors in this cast list – the only ones I feel relatively confident in are Jennifer Grey, Kurt Warner, Bristol, Audrina and Brandy. I would be surprised by NOTHING that happens on Monday night, I don’t think.
As for those dances – I sure did love Derek’s lambada, but as a rule I would prefer they stick to their old standards. Too many dances in one season makes it impossible to compare the couples. If they throw in all that and I don’t get to see Derek doing an Argentine Tango and Paso Doble I will be pissed.
I am going to live blog it to the best of my ability. It’s very hard to do because the site gets bogged down with a lot of traffic. But if you want to follow on twitter I can do that faster; you have your choice of three and I can tweet on all three simultaneously @tvblog, @PureDWTS and @PureDerekHough.

Roberto and Chelsie – Contrasting the horrid season she had with Jake
All of these pairings would have decent fan bases.
I tend to think that Edyta is off this season. There were grumblings fairly loud all last season that Edyta is screwing up too much, she did nothing to take Aiden Turner farther, her choreography is tired and she needs a break.
which celeb lives in Lousiana? that is where Chelsie went yesterday.
I think Louis is in – He tweeted about renting a house for him mom, grandma and aunt for the next three weeks. They must be away from home if they need to rent a house and 3 months is the length of the season… Fingers crossed – I really like Louis. Actually, there’s not a male pro listed I don’t like!
I kind of hope Edyta isn’t back this season. I like her as a pro but I feel like her choreography is getting stale. “Oh wait, she did that dance in season __ with ________. I thought it looked familiar.” I just think she needs a break. And hasn’t she been injured?

I hope Edyta will be dancing. As quiet as she is at Twitter right now (like most of them that are dancing with an exception to Lacy. What the hell….was she told she can tell and not the rest?), I have a feeling she’s going to be dancing. Then again, she may be depressed too if she was told no. I don’t know what to think.

Okay. So if Chelsie does indeed have Michael Bolton then I think Lacey could be with a late signer. Who that is? It could be Roberto.
I am just wondering if Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York is in the mix? No word at all about her. It seems she would be the type of celebrity that would warrant a press conference.

– the 12 contestants is from ABC, either a press release or the website or both. I haven’t actually looked for it like I intended to, but I’ll do that later today. One of the benefits (or curses, not sure 
) of working on this site is that I have friends tweeting me and emailing me info all the time – not to mention being able to see all the comments on this site in one spot. It’s very possible I picked up bad info OR that the producers changed their mind. A mind change would certainly be implied since Lacey is back on the show.
Yeah, I had Lacey with the situation as well, but something on Twitter made me put him with Karina – don’t even remember what it was now. I fried my brain yesterday on this site.
Personally, I think Louis/Bristol would be BRILLIANT casting but I think that Lacey/Situ would be so predictable. I guess we’ll see. Sometimes the producers surprise me and switch things up – I NEVER predicted that Derek would get Nicole last season until it happened. 
Yeah, Jeniffer, I’m with you. Audrina better be really good.
Chelsie with Michael Bolton?? How on God’s green earth did they make THAT decision? I…just….no. No. I might even say “ick”. Which is why Derek has probably not gotten an older woman before now.
He’s maturing nicely and Jennifer looks great for her age – he can pull it off. But Chelsie?? She’s a baby!! Not in a bad way, she’s just very young. Oh boy. This could be interesting.
Guys, I have no words to explain how much I love this site. I really appreciate all the hard work you do to keep us well informed. If not for you I would not have even half of that information here in Brazil, so I could not be happier to have found this blog.

Andie, everytime you post, you and I are on the same page. lol
Chelsie & Michael Bolton? OK, if not exactly ICK, certainly ick-y. Really ? No! I can see her w/Roberto (don’t follow the Bach franchise but have read he’s a nice guy, but after last season’s awful pairing w/Jake, I’m hoping ABC will spread these love starved “stars” around); I can see Chelsie with that rapper guy – Ribbit? I can even see her with The Situation – odd pairing, I know, but the more I think on it, the better I like it. She’s just fiesty enough to knock him down a peg or two – I think this will be an eye opening experience for him (as it has been for so many) but I think he’ll be able to keep up – he seems pretty fi, what with the GTL and all. And I think he’ll really WANT to do well. I’m also really warming up to Louis w/Bristol – that has real possibilities, on so many levels! Let’s pray she at least has some rhythm & not a repeat of Kate-frozen solid-in-the-headlights. How about Roberto w/Karina? (I think Johnny Wier is a long shot for this season but my ardent hope for future season) – I know Karina has been lobbying for Johnny, but I can’t warm up to that pairing for some reason.
The Chelsie/Michael Bolton pairing is weird to me, but it seems to be true. If they’re both currently in Louisiana, and he is indeed on this season, it would make sense, unless she has someone else who lives in Louisiana, but I’m not sure what the chances of that are.
Anna just updated her Twitter saying she was on a plane. I assume she’s flying somewhere to meet her partner, since she really doesn’t have the time right now to be off traveling and doing other things. Who else isn’t in California right now? I know a lot of the time the pros will go to their partners hometown to rehearse before the show starts, but aren’t they usually in L.A. for the first few days for press or promo shoots? I guess she’d have to be meeting someone who can’t leave wherever they are right away.
I think that Margaret Cho and Bristol Palin could both be with either Mark or Louis. I remember it was the same with Kelly Osbourne and Melissa Joan Hart, no one could figure out who was with who at first!
I think Mark’s fans better hope he’s with Margaret – a whole bunch of Derek fans said they would NEVER vote for Bristol even if she was with Derek. I don’t know if Mark’s fans are that into politics and are not ethically inclined to vote for a Palin, but I imagine some in the general audience are. She better be good. Of course I could be wrong.
As for who’s in California and who isn’t – I’ve only seen Anna talking about being on a plane. Except of Tony and Maks flying back to LA. The others are being very tight lipped. All Mark tweeted earlier was “Day 1″
If only Chelsie was in Louisiana to meet up with Harry Connick Jr.! He’s in New Orleans for the Katrina anniversary. Now that’s a celeb that would finally get me excited about this season!! And the Katrina tie-in would be a very good thing!
As I always do, I will vote for the one I think is the best. If that’s Bristol, it’s Bristol. If Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, or some other politician were on, I’d vote for them if they were the best, too. I have VERY strong political views, but when it comes to a dance competition, I will always vote for the the person who I think does the best job of combining technique and artistry in their routines. I realize a lot of other viewers look at the show as more of an entertainment program where you vote for people who have good personalities off the dance floor or who you want to see do well even if they don’t. I respect that, but it’s not how I vote.
I 100% agree with Mike. All the people who claim they will not watch the show if Bristol’s on, replicating last year’s drama with Kate Gosselin, need to grow up. So you don’t like them?

Anna T’s tweet said she’s on a plane again and it’s not going to change anytime soon. So whoever she has seems to be someone who will be traveling a lot. Maybe they gave her that person because she handled Evan’s schedule so well. She is actually being unusually quiet too–last week she posted on FB that she’d let us know when she had news on Season 11. Since then she hasn’t mentoned it. Did not even RT Jonathan’s tweet which she does often.
I am actually excited by some of the names in the presumed cast since it seems to be the most exciting cast to thus far (at least in mt opinion). Not going to lie, i had to look up who Margaret Cho was though. I think that out of the names so far (and I am presuming/hoping that these people do the show) the final four are going to be Brandy, Audrina, Jennifer, and Hasselhoff or Kurt Warner.

I doubt he’d be going to China next week if he was doing DWTS. Then again you never know. He could still make the trip (with Karina by him to practice, etc) just like Evan and Anna did with all of their travels last year during the show for his scheduled events.
DS; My husband FIRMLY believes Chels is there with Harry, which would be the one saving grace for me if this cast is anywhere near true!!!
As for Mark fans voting; I have to agree with the post earlier that I would probably not cast a vote for he and Bristol unless she can dance like a Nicole! I think it’s really sad that they are promoting this young girl who’s infamous for having a child out of wedlock. And I’m feeling for my poor boy…another disappointing season for him, it seems.

Joan, even if Mark isn’t with Bristol, Audrina is too tall for him – she’s like 5’7″ – add heels and she’s almost too much for Derek. Although he handled Shannon (5’9″) just fine. Pardon the expression.

I got excited for these two, both have dance ability, one outrageous and unpredictable, the other latin eyecandy. I miss that! I miss the handsome Lopez, de la Fuente, Marini guys…No one else in the cast makes an impression on me, except for Jennifer Grey.
Has there been any speculation for Chelsie to be partnered with Kurt Warner?
Kurt is WAY to tall for Chelsea. Im guessing they’ll give Kurt to Kym Johnson….But then again what do i know. lol
If DWTS pays for Karina to go overseas and practice with JWe, I’ll be surprised. JWe’s sponsors are only shelling out enough for him and his team to go overseas.
Mario – DWTS pays for the pros and production staff to travel with their celebs over seas all the time. I can’t remember which pro had to go to Europe last season? Was it Ashly? As for missing rehearsals – that happens also, if DWTS knows about it in advance. I’m not saying they’re right about Johnny Weir and you’re wrong, I’m just saying that your argument isn’t that compelling. I doubt we’ll get Johnny, but for none of the reasons you mention.
