DWTS Season 11, Week 10 – Backstage Media After Monday Night Performances & More
“Our most-talked-about season,” Tom Bergeron said as the finals of “Dancing With the Stars” opened tonight. Yes, funny how a lighthearted dance contest morphed into a battlefield. I liked it better when it was a dance contest.
Do you agree or disagree? Special thanks to Heidi letting me know on this quote she loved from the Orlando Sentinel. I love it too and so agree. Be sure to read the link for more of a cool wrap up of the night and who they think should win.
Here is some backstage footage after show for the couples reactions on their dances, tonight’s upcoming dances, and more….
Bristol and Mark;
Jennifer and Derek;
Kyle and Lacey;
More of Jennifer and Derek before the show and a glimpse of what might come tonight on the results show, the importance of keeping focused, being humble, etc.;
All the couples before the show;
Niecy Nash capturing all the “mayhem”;
Here is Carrie Ann being interviewed after the show on the negative and vicious reactions she’s personally received this year (I hate to say it, but she had the criticism coming. She only has herself to blame imo)
Maks and Tony for why Bristol is still in the competiton;
And lastly in other things out there to share, here is more of Maks and Robin Roberts on Good Morning America today doing the Cha Cha Cha. I love this.;
Ok, here’s to The Results Show tonight everyone. Be there or be square…I am sure of it.
xx

I totally agree with that quote. Not that I have anything against a little intrigue, a little drama (operative words here are “little”), and I do fully recognize that this show is not all about the dancing – never has been, never will be as long as the viewing public is involved in the outcome. But all this hate and viscousness is over the top – let’s keep things in perspective here, OK? Derek hit it on the head with his comment to Jennifer “no worries, it’s only a little dance show” (or something to that affect). Yes, I’m disappointed Brandy didn’t make it to the finals; but in the grand scheme of things ….. not that high on the list. No, I did not think that Bristol should be in the finals, but it’s not her fault that she is. All this moaning and groaning from the viewers, but did they vote? Last week Brandy and Bristol got the same high judges’ scores for their Ballroom round (Brandy’s 27 A.Tango vs. Bristol’s 27 Waltz), the week prior she and Kurt both got the same score for their non-insta dance – so why wouldn’t she think she deserves to still be in this? It’s not hubris on her part. IMO what happened is that everyone was sure Jen and Brandy would be in the finals and so they set about voting for the person they most wanted to see in that third spot – either Kyle or Bristol. And in between and betwixt all of that, Brandy just did not get enough votes to keep her on. Those are the rules – have been from day one. Bitch all you want, but it’ll be the same thing all over again come May. Gotta love it! OK … thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
Can’t wait for tonight’s show – it ought to be Jennifer & Derek hoisting that trophy, but you just never know …..
)
Wow, can’t get over how gracious Jennifer is toward Bristol in the AC video. It’s almost like she wants to mother her. Very classy lady!
Thank you once again Vogue for all these great clips!!! It’s so much fun to watch the after show stuff!
@Linde, Brandy got a 30 for her Argentine Tango, but she did get a 27 for the Paso, same score as Bristol.
I suspect Bristol and Mark will do that Paso as their favorite of the season as it did get their highest score.
Thanks Vogue, I always look forward to this posting as I get all the very best clips in one place, LOVE it!
Linde: I couldn’t agree more with your statements of how perspective has been completely lost this season. This show is one of the greatest pleasures of my life, I look forward to these 20 some-odd weeks each year with great anticipation and I believe this show is all about enjoyment and although it’s been a really “interesting” season, it’s brought out the worst in a lot of people and that saddens me! At this point I, frankly, will be happiest come 10:57pm est tonight since it’ll be over! With any luck TPTB will give us all-stars to counterbalance the craziness that this season’s been and get it back to the enjoyment of dancing and not the struggle of public opinion…
Truth be told, all that matters to me now, is that one week from today I will be sitting in the front row watching Mark dance in Burn the Floor and that’s what makes me happy!
You’re welcome Guys!
And Joan, I would love to see that show. Have FUN!! Be sure to report back to us on it.
I can bet one thing I will never watch this show that is fixed, this is suppose to be about not dancing professionally, but when they voted Audrina off when she shouldn’t of, I knew the fix was on. Because what ever certain ones did they knew who the winner was going to be. You lost a few viewers!!!!
