DWTS Awards: Nice Guys and Emotionally Charged

Of all the “nice guys” on the show this season, who was the most charming?

Other answers:
Derek Hough 2
mark ballas 2
Corky Ballas 1
Mark Ballas is the best 1
Mark Ballas 1
derek 1

Voguerista: I had trouble picking between Kyle and Kurt. I see everyone else did too.

Courtney: I think in the end Kyle ended up charming viewers with his youthful energy, and the fact that he was around the longest probably made him more memorable in their minds.  Kurt & Rick’s charm came more from their peaceful, grateful approach to being on the show – and the former interacting with his kids was totally endearing to me.  As for the Sitch – he was just a lovable dork 🙂  I agree that Derek was charming this season, but I think he was the same as he was any other season; as for Mark…erm, did you guys see some of his backstage & red carpet interviews? I don’t know that he was necessarily charming in them. 🙁

John: Ok, based on the other answers, I guess we should have clarified that the pros don’t count in this award. Although, that’s an interesting idea for a future one.

Which routine was the most emotionally-charged on DWTS season 11?

Voguerista: I had a hard time choosing between the top winning three in this poll. Each was so good and commendable. But, in the end, I gave it to Jennifer and Derek because they literally brought tears to my eyes by the end of it. I don’t remember in any Season of DWTS getting that choked up. That’s when you know dancing has just hit new heights. I love that.

Courtney: I agree with everything Vogue said – each of these dances seemed to really get the celebs emotionally invested in them (which is why I chose them as the contenders), but in the end I think Jennifer’s Viennese waltz had the right combination of vulnerability, honesty, and good dancing.  As for some of the “other” choices – I actually did contemplate putting Brandy & Maks’ waltz as an option, but then I remembered a lot of people thinking it was a little over-the-top and melodramatic, so it may not have fared so well in this category…I chose their rumba because it seemed a bit more natural in terms of emotion.  I also actually considered Bristol & Mark’s waltz too, but decided against it because I felt like the drama of it came more from the music & lighting than it did from Bristol conveying any sort of emotion in it – and I believe Carrie Ann actually said something about that as well.

John: There were a bunch of Bristol related other answers. Not enough to dent the results, but that was a different meaning for emotionally charged than what we intended I think. Although, I know some of our male readers loved her. Emotion is a funny thing.
