DWTS – Chelsie Hightower Talks About Her Current Travels, Last Season of Dancing With the Stars, The Upcoming Season and More
Who would like to see Chelsie back this Season?? This week Homorazzi.com interviewed Chelsie about last Season, this upcoming Season (she doesn’t reveal much of course), and her future “exciting” projects which include new dance studios in Utah, a new clothing line, and more. (Heidi’s Note: If you REALLY listen when she’s listing her upcoming stuff, she says “DWTS is starting soon” – this after she says “we’re not supposed to say” – I take both comments as a yes.

Deena, just hush. If it pains you that much for anyone to talk about Mark, then you better not read anything here, because I doubt it’s gonna stop anytime soon.
Rory – we’ve kinda speculated about Mark & Chelsie for a little while now, and I think the best explanation we came up with is that they might be “testing the waters”, so to speak. In previous seasons it’s been a bit one-sided – Mark fawning over Chelsie & her politely dodging his advances – but she seems to have warmed to him a bit more recently. Who knows what their situation is, but they seem happy, so I’m happy for them

Is Deena an ex-gf of Mark’s or something? LOL sheesh. But yeah, I think Mark has been interested in Chelsie for a long time and that she’s only now warming up to it…or maybe they are *just* great friends that spend all their time together (stranger things have happened, but it is A LOT of time together lately), so who knows. There’s the issue of her religion, their age, workplace, etc…so maybe there’s some hurdles they have been slowly trying to work out. This is all just guessing cause I have no idea. They do look cute together, but I’m not a shipper so I’ll just say I hope they are happy with whomever they end up with. Oh and I think it’d be cool if Chelsie got someone that wasn’t stiff as a board or an asshole. But she seems to have a bubbly personality no matter who she gets stuck with. I’d just love a partner that can throw her around a bit cause she flies through the air!
My apologies, all. I am not a Mark fan and I make no apologies for it, but should refrain from expressing that opinion. I don’t think he is cute at all with Chelsie – I guess it’s the womanizer and the Mormon that is kind of jarring. Yes, please, for Chelsie being paired with a fun person who can move their feet.
I am no people expert. Yes, Mark and his dad are a bit “quirky,” but I think down deep they are good people and maybe sharper than we give them credit for???
ITA that the Ballas men are very, very sharp. As with most entertainers, both of them know how to sell a public image – unfortunately, quite a few people know who and what they are privately as well.
Chelsie is a practicing Mormon. Unless Mark has converted, they are not dating.
I think it’s shocking how people equate “dating” with sleeping together. They aren’t necessarily the same thing. Or they shouldn’t be. Is there some rule that she can’t date a non-Mormon? Or just that she not have sex.
When I lived in Colorado I met many Mormons and remain friends with them still. It is allowed to marry a non-Mormon but it is encouraged by the church to either convert them or date within the religion – but they are not ostracized for it nor are they breaking rules (unless a certain elder is overly zealous about it). I’ve been to a few weddings where a practicing Mormon married a non-Mormon. Now, Chelsie may decide she only wants to date a Mormon, at that point Mark would need to either give up or convert – but that’s her personal choice, not mandated by dogma. She has also stated that she doesn’t want to date men she works with – but who knows, maybe he’s finally broken her down. Or maybe they just continue to enjoy each other’s company in a platonic way.
Didn’t I read here recently that a DWTS insider strongly suggested that it was Mark trying to push things with Chelsie, and she just wanted to be friends and was politely discouraging his advances ? Do you think anything has changed really??
I had heard that yes, Mark had been pursuing her very strongly and that she was insistent that they remain just friends. People are now contemplating that she may be relenting because they have been spending an enormous amount of time together – she joined him on his tour, in London, they went to Vancouver together, etc. Or it remains as it was and there’s nothing to it and everyone is speculating over nothing!

No no no no…I am not an insider at DWTS at all. I only have information that people on the internet and elsewhere have culled and analyzed and I’ve regurgitated. I mean, I pay attention to this stuff a lot, but I have no more ins than the average person that looks this stuff up and follows it on twitter – at least as far as DWTS goes
Other aspects of Hollywood and sports, yes (which if the people I know ever were to be on DWTS then that’s something…but they haven’t been, although I have met Brandy and Mario Lopez both a few times and my good friend used to date Stacey Keibler). Sorry if I gave the impression that I know more than that
