DWTS Season 12 Las Vegas Odds -Who Will Win ‘Dancing With the Stars’?
So who will be the last couple standing at the end of Dancing With The Stars Season 12? The Las Vegas bettings have begun and here’s how the odds are standing at this time. Kendra Wilkinson is the frontrunner for the Mirror Ball Trophey with Chelsie Kane in second.

Kendra huh? Oh wow, will Louis live up to this? Who knows. I like her, don’t like him. Sorry. I really hated how last season Margaret was doing a good waltz and then he sent it to heck and back when he turned it into a comedy skit. Then, she didn’t live up to the dance standards, boom, gone and there he went nagging to the media. AND I will never forget how nasty he was towards Nicole Scherzinger crying “It’s almost unfair”. Almost? Just say it Dude, jealousy is a bitter pill isn’t it.
Anyway, I haven’t figured out who I’m pulling for but I do wish Kirstie and Maks the best!
Sadly, Louis’ recent tweets have had almost a smug ring to them. Sly and smug, never a good combination in my book. I mean, it’s okay to be confident because you have a good partner, but his just sound… wrong. Maybe it’s because they’re more about the trophy than about his partner? I dunno, but I tolerate him less and less with each passing day. It’s just kind of distasteful.
I think Louis quite possibly could be Kendra’s downfall. We’ll see. Maybe he’ll turn people around. Although, I’m predicting that he won’t. She’ll still go far and he’ll be happy with that.
I think they underestimate Hines Ward. Pittsburgh fans are fanatics and Hines has a great personality that I think will do well on the show. Plus, football players have generally done well on the show. Probably due to football’s widespread popularity into even the DWTS viewer demographic.
Evaine, I know what you mean. He is coming off smug. At least when Derek had Nicole, he NEVER came off like that. He always worried for his and Nicole’s stay in the competition and gave humble tweets IMO and defended her. That night when it was down to two, the look on Derek’s face was nervous. Yes, he knew he had a good girl, but he was worried he’d lose. He didn’t look smug or arrogant, he was genuinely nervous. Take a lesson, Louis! I hope I’m not being harsh you guys. I’ll tone it down if you want but I just can’t stand Louis lately.

Wow, there are a lot of names that I’m clueless about. Can’t say that I’m too excited about this season. It’s starting to look like I might just be catching a few dances on Youtube.
Amen, Evaine. Louis is being an ass on twitter already. Louis is smug after being a complete asshole to Nicole and Derek (and Derek and Jennifer) – hypocrite much?? Poor Kendra – he’ll ruin her chances.
Hmm…these are some interesting odds. They really don’t think Petra will do well at all, huh? And Kirstie’s odds are better than Chris’, Hines’, AND Romeo’s? I can’t decide whether they’re overestimating Kirstie or underestimating the other 3. And I totally agree, John – Steelers fans are FIERCELY devoted and their support alone could probably keep Hines in even if he totally sucked (which I doubt he will – NFL players do at least marginally well, and he’s got a very well-liked pro).
And I agree about Louis – at first, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and just assumed that he was just very excited about his partner and couldn’t contain himself. But now he definitely seems to be rubbing it in people’s faces that he has the “favorite” this season – and I sure hope that he doesn’t somehow ruin this for Kendra. I think she has the potential to do really well, but if he pisses viewers off and gives them a reason not to vote – she could get sent packing despite a great performance. But perhaps this experience will be good for Louis – might give him a taste of what it was like for Derek when everyone else was saying it was “so unfair” that he had Nicole
As bad as this sounds, I almost hope some of the other pros turn on him this season and talk smack about him in the media like he has done before…such poetic justice.
Nathan, Derek has always been smart enough to know that having a great partner isn’t all that. There are too many other things going into whether you stay or not. Does the audience like her, do they assume she’s safe and not vote, and so on. This show is a big strategic game and Derek has known how to play it VERY well for years. That’s why he’s often put the emphasis on *memorable* dances – even sometimes crossing the line – so that the audience will be motiviated to VOTE and won’t forget them. He seems to know when it’s time to go big and risky (Jailhouse Rock Jive, or the rule breaking dance with Nicole) and when it’s time to strictly play by the rules. You have to balance pleasing the judges with getting the audience on your side. I think there there are a few pros that just don’t know how to do that. Louis being one. I think he mistook a general love for Kelly Osborne and thought it was about HIM.
I think Petra doesn’t have great odds because a lot of folks don’t know her and Dmitry isn’t one of the favorite pros. Conversely, that’s probably why Kirstie’s are higher than one might expect. She’s well known and Maks is a favorite. Actual dancing ability is probably not given as much weight as one might think when they work out the odds. It’s only one factor of many.
Cori, if you’re a fan of the show I really think you should tune it. I think it’s going to be one of more interesting seasons and has the potential to be a lot of fun!
I wholeheartedly agree with you three (Nathan, Evaine and John)! Louis has been my least favorite pro for about 6 season’s now and, unfortunately, I do believe that he will be Kendra’s biggest obstacle to the MB. Louis doesn’t seem to have a lot of “love” out there and he comes across as petty A LOT! The best thing he could do is set his ego aside and really “work” for her benefit, keep his mouth closed and speak kindly of the competition but he seems unable to do these things. That and the last time he was in the finals his freestyle left something to be desired. I wish they had given her someone like Damian, now that’s a great guy/professional who always puts his partner first, what were the folks at DWTS thinking?! They had a great opportunity to cast a beautiful looking couple who would have fared a great chance with little controversy at the trophy!!! My husband’s giving the win to Mark and Chelsea…we’ll see????…

You can Cancel the season at my house…I am not watching…we are not watching Idol this season, and now we are not watching Dancing with the Stars … We need some new better reality shows!

I’m throwing this out there about Wendy. I just realized who she is. I don’t watch her show – I’ve only seen her on talk soup. So it dawned on me that she appeared on a show I watched on MTV or VH1. Perhaps some of you remember it – covered pretty much every bit of unflattering gossip on hip hop and R & B performers a few years back. Anyway, she kept appearing on camera with the “real dirt.” I remember thinking at the time, “who is this person and why is she enjoying herself so much?” Now I understand why she’s either really liked or really disliked. Personally, I do not get people who make money off of gossip, arrests, addictions, etc. As for her being a cast member on DWTS – her history could help or really hurt with viewers if she trashed someone they love.
I don’t think Louis has sounded smug? He said he was happy and was happy about everyones tweets but I don’t know how that’s smug. Unless he deleted somthing that I missed.
I’m really looking forward to this season no clear front runner and even better no one we know is going to suck.
I am a first time poster and just wanted to thank all of you for all of the work you do on the site! I check it often and really enjoy all of your posts and comments. Anyways I would have to agree with everyone about Louis, he rubs me the wrong way and I really wish Kendra would have gotten another partner. I am afraid Louis will hurt her chances of winning.
I definitely agree about Louis & his snide remarks. Kendra is definitely a frontrunner and if with her skills and partnered with Derek she would have labeled a “ringer” and bashed on the ABC MB!
I’m hoping Sugar Ray, Hines or Romeo will step up to the plate and take it! Nothing against Kendra but I would “never” vote for Louis, sorry!
Hi, just a quick question. I sort of understand odds, but I was confused about one thing: Is 11/2 and 7/2 better than 4/1 and 3/1? Because I’m wondering if the Las Vegas Odds were indicating Ralph and Romeo had a better or worse shot at winning than Kendra and Chelsea.
Dee, same here…unless Kendra is soooo likeable or too good not to vote for. Ooh what if Louis got an injury and enter Damian? *gasps* LOL. But all in all I wish KENDRA the best.

Well, Louis has not gotten to win the trophy yet. He’s taught his heart out each season he’s been on and his partners have all seemed to adore him, so I dont think he’s an ass at all, he probably just comes across that way. Give the guy a break, he has a right to be excited after all this time. They’ve never given him a frontrunner before either. Also, I have to say that although I love both Derek and Mark they have both made comments in the past to both their partners and other ppl that have rubbed me the wrong way and sounded quite mean/conceited/smug etc. They are all human, after all. Lastly, Louis is hands down the most experienced and most metaled pro dancer in the ballroom world (with Karina nipping closing at his heels of course) so I hate to hear ppl saying they wish she’d gotten someone else who is not nearly as good just because he is younger or better looking or creates a great dance or has a great personality. People, she gets to learn from dance royalty!!!! And they are paying her for it!!!! I do good to afford my 45 minute lesson once a week! (sigh) Nope, no envy here. (rolling eyes at self in disgust) lol
Ren, I *think* that 7/2 is akin to 3.5/1, so it would be a hair behind 3/1. Same for 11/2, which would be 5.5/1. But that’s my math brain talking – i have no clue if that’s how the odds work, but it seems like it should be.
oops! meant to say above that karina was nipping closely at Louis’s heels, not nipping closing at his heels (whatever that means!). Also, do we know when we’ll get to see pics of the couples? I love seeing their first dressed up photos. And is it true that Romeo is saying he’s going to take his dad’s advice and not wear the shoes? I never did get the logic in that. Would you wear dress shoes on a basketball court? or sneakers to a red carpet event? (wait I think someone did the other day) Shoes are made for a specific sport for a specific reason. I sure do hope Chelsie can talk him out of that (if the rumor is indeed true)!
Well, my fave pro after Derek is Anna T. . . so I am hoping she has great chemistry with Sugar Ray. He says he has rhythm, but needs to work on his flexibility. Typical the Vegas odds would choose Mark/Chelsea because they are both young and Mark has won twice already. But we shall see how the audience will react to her. I feel like we’ve already seen a pair like them before. I also like Kirstie and Maks. I think Kirstie will have a great journey on DWTS, but I am not a Maks fan. I hope Cheryl and Chris will be a great pairing. He sounds excited to be doing this.
The problem, April, is that Derek is mostly a pretty humble guy when it comes to twitter and to the press and Louis *isn’t*. Derek can get on his high horse in rehearsal, for sure, but he is also extrordinarily talented – he’s earned some of that. Louis has earned it too, but he has done a lot of bitching and complaining to the press about other people getting the good partners which is just classless – frankly, Mark did that too last season…but Derek never has. Some of us complain that Derek is TOO PC. So, perhaps if Louis hadn’t behaved in this manner to the press in the past, people wouldn’t have a problem with his attitude NOW. You know what I mean? It’s not about his string of tweets today, it’s about his string of tweets today when viewed through the lens of people who got very sick of his bitching the last few seasons.
So, Ballas gets the ringer this season, eh? Guess it is a Hough-Ballas conspiracy, not just a Derek thing.
I’m not sure on Kendra. If you’ve watched GND or her E! show, she’s a bit ADD – if you remember with Kelly, she had problems remembering the steps and even Bristol had the same issue, where she would just lose her place in the middle of the dance. I think Kendra’s going to be that same way – a little airheaded – and that laugh has a chance of turning OFF a lot of people. But her baby and husband are really cute, so if they do good intros, that could help….
Kendra and Louis I think will be like Maks and Brandy – good partnership but people will get turned off by their personalities.

Heidi: I will agree that Louis does tend to speak/type before thinking. I’ve really only followed Louis first on myspace and now on facebook, though, and am not a big twitter fan, so I tend to miss some of his verbal mishaps. On FB he seems a nice guy as he is very considerate of his fans…add that to him not seeming to get onto his high-horse (love that phrase!) in rehearsals as much as Derek, Mark and Maks do, and I guess that’s why I’ve always liked him. Plus I like it when someone who hasnt won before gets a “frontrunner”. Not that that means much since the votes swing from week to week depending on the personalities, performances etc.

How is it that Kirstie has better odds than chris jerhico? I am a big fan of both and I can honestly say there are better odds in chris’s favor. Chelsie andd Kendra as the two favorites is interestibg though. If I had to guess, Kenrda and her would be in the final if they can dance (never undereetimate the disney kids lol….after kyle im standing by that statement).

Louis hasn’t bothered me much – honestly I think he’s a bit of a drama queen, but with a good heart – if that makes sense. Saying stuff before he thinks it through, but not really being mean-spirited. Much of what he says isn’t negative, but the little comments do cloud his positive stuff somewhat. Louis did say something today (in a video, not on twitter) about him getting a celeb with a nice figure for a change. That was not necessary, but I guess I can see what he’s saying – why does he always get the heavier celebs blahblahblah. Still, I don’t mind him but he certainly isn’t my favorite either. As far as pros for this season goes, I’m rooting for Karina, Chelsie, Anna, and Maks to do well. I’m rooting for almost all the celebs, but maybe Ralph Macchio and Sugar Ray a bit more (but that may change of course during the season).
I am so so sad about Jonathan. He seems like such a nice guy, and he was so under appreciated!
