DWTS Season 12 – Kendra Wilkinson And Louis Van Amstel In Rehearsal & Other News (Video)
Finally, we are starting to see some rehearsal footage. Today, E News has a sneak peek into what’s going down in the rehearsal studio with Louis and Kendra. Kendra has hurt her foot. But, it doesn’t look like it’s hurting her dancing much so far? She’s got some other war wounds too….
Speaking of the two, Kendra plans to join Louis’ La Blast dance class on March 15th. If you live in the Los Angeles area, be sure to check them out.
Also, Louis plans to reunite with his former dance partner, Margaret Cho, in Atlanta this coming Monday to film a dance segment for her hit Lifetime show “Drop Dead Diva” which will air in June. Below are a few details from OMG.
This coming Monday, Louis and Margaret will tape a dance number for an episode entitled “The Wedding,” which will feature one of the main “Drop Dead Diva” characters walking down the aisle.
In the episode, Teri Lee (Cho) has decided to give Grayson Kent (Jackson Hurst) the gift of learning how to dance for his upcoming big wedding, but Grayson seems to have two left feet. Louis will play the dance instructor Teri hires to help teach Grayson how to dance.

So fa so good. She really seems to be bale to move effortlessly. Too bad she hurt herself though….hope that dopesn’t effect her live performance.
doesn’t*
She seems to be dancing pretty well. I definitely see her in the top three, unless there’s some shocking elimination, because I’m not so sure what her fan base is.
She’s good, but she’s no Nicole, Jennifer, or Kristi. All of the 3 I mentioned all seemed to move with much less effort than Kendra – there’s still a certain awkwardness to her movement. But I think her stage presence more than makes up for it – I think she’ll be more on-par performance-wise with Lil Kim. Decent mover, but not perfect, but with a ton of entertainment value.
Top 3 Eavan? I do not know. I do not know if women will vote for her lol.
Really? There seems to be TONS of women that like her personality. I always hear plenty of people, men and women both, that rave about her. I personally never saw it because I probably watched all of five minutes of Girls Next Door but there must be something to it.
Unless she really is awful (or a bunch of other contestents are more awful), I could see Kendra making the top 3. Winning? I’m not so sure. I think Kendra does hold a certain appeal for some – people seemed to like her on Girls Next Door because she was the laid-back, tomboy of the bunch; now that she’s had a baby, I think she’ll also get some support from the “young mommy” demographic. I know she also struggled a bit with losing the “baby weight” (a struggle many mothers seem to have these days), so I think it lends a more “human” quality to her that people can relate to. However, when it comes to the more middle-aged female mom population, I think Kirstie will have her beat – many of these women likely watched Cheers, and I think anyone that’s ever struggled with their weight could related to Kirstie’s weight loss tribulations on Fat Actress or as a spokewoman for Weight Watchers. Kendra may have the moves, but I think Kirstie really has people pulling for her – plus I think Kirstie’s got the more popular pro, which seems to help quite a bit. I think people will vote for Kendra, but I don’t necessarily think she has the MBT in the bag.
Courtney, you are probably right about Kendra and comparing her to Lil Kim. I don’t know why she is the favorite though. Chelsea or Romeo are more likely to be better right out of the gate. I also think they have younger fans who can vote more. But Kendra might win over people like Lil Kim on her personality. Kendra also seems comfortable with her body. Chelsea and Romeo are younger and more likely to have the endurance and stamina for the long run. Hines is a wild card because he can be a real surprise dance wise and he has the Steeler fan base. Romeo might be hurt by his association with his father and some viewers might not be able to see past that. For Chelsea, her biggest obstacle might just be her height difference with Mark.
She’s doing okay, I wouldn’t place her at the top 3. She doesn’t appear to have the natural elegance and grace like some previous stars. She is comfortable with her body and will probably do better with dances like the Rumba and Cha, Cha. Sorry to see her injured though.
ET has a sneak peak at Ralph and Karina’s rehearsals.

Thanks Jen. There will be a new post coming up on that soon.
Ah, but Melissa, unless you’re an Olympian or someone who will appeal to the moms (Kyle), younger voters don’t seem to help you. I’m thinking of Sabrina, Lil’ Kim, Cody Linley, Aaron, Brandy, Audrina and so on – younger people don’t generally watch and vote for DWTS. It’s shown in the ratings where DWTS can win the week but get hammered in the key demos.
The reason Donny Osmond won was because his fanbase exactly mimics the fanbase of DWTS – middle aged women. I’m sure that helped Jennifer. And I bet it will help Ralph Macchio (although I don’t think he’ll win).
Courtney and Heidi: your comments about middle aged women and voting patterns got me thinking. Does a history with substance problems help or hurt? By my count, there are four stars who, at one time or another, had serious issues that almost derailed them. My guess is that this will come up for each of them during the season. 4 out of 11, is that a lot?
It didn’t seem to hurt Steve-O. I think women in general are more likely to give someone a chance if they have worked out their issues. But maybe that’s just me.
I’m not saying it would derail anyone, just that it may come up and viewers may not know about some of this. But, is 4 out of 11 a lot? Or pretty regular for a season?
Also, is Kirstie Alley the first Vulcan on the DWTS cast? Any other Star Trek actors?
