Pure DWTS Season 12 – Mike Catherwood’s and Lacey Schwimmer’s Plans to “Wow” the Audience (Rehearsal Videos)
Ya know…at first, I wasn’t sure about a lot of these pairings. But, watching them all interact with each other, I’m starting to think they are the perfect matches. What makes Mike and Lacey a fun pairing is their “silliness”. Check them out on Access Hollywood and let us know if you think he can dance too.

I actually think he is pretty funny, but hope he takes the dance seriously. When he was on Regis & Kelly, we saw a video of him competing in a body building contest, so I doubt he is really “shy” about his chest. Another taste of his humor, I think. I have to say this is the first season in a long time where I like ALL the contestants. It will make watching so much more pleasant than last season. Thanks for posting all the videos…this one and all the others.
This is the first time on a while where there isn’t at least one contestant that I’m actively wanting to get booted.
Good job choosing a likable bunch. And yes, this guy is funny, and Lacey is perfect for him.
Love all the interviews you’re posting, especially this set with Mike and Lacey. They’re a hoot and perfect for each other! I sure hope he can dance and finds a way to build a fan base because I’d love to have this fun couple around all season.
Agree with the other comments that this whole cast seems to be an easy-going, entertaining bunch.
Mike is too crude. Yuck.
I like Mike. He’s pretty funny, but I do think if he keeps it up with the constant crude jokes it’ll get old. He’s HOT!! So I hope he stays on the show for a while. I usually don’t care for Lacey, but I wouldn’t mind trading places with her this season.
He apparently said some offensive things about Adam Lambert. I don’t know the details but just read how there are groups saying not to vote for him based on his remarks. Even with that, I bet they will not be voted out first. I am worried it will be Sugar Ray. Someone who people assume will be safe because of his name recognition.
Karla: I know some of his comments seem crude but he really does have a wonderful gentlemanly side that I hope you will see soon. I think he is a lovely guy, who is so very talented and caring. He is actually a church-going former addict who has sustained incredible discipline to stay in recovery, for, I think– twelve years, and the raunchy humor is really just part of his self-deprecating schtick. Melissa: On the surface the Adam Lambert comment did sound terrible but believe me that this one poor attempt at comedy is not the spirit of who he is. He’s articulate, witty, and caring, and has several gay friends. If you understood the whole of who he is you would know he is so the opposite of what that one sound bite would lead you to believe. Just give him a chance please. I give him major props for triumphing over his disease. His ability to stay in recovery as long as he has and to eat well and exercise over this long period takes a discipline and maturity that not many people posess. I can’t see him purposefully letting Lacey down. He will do his best.
I agree with Katy Perry. Some folks just have an earthy sense of humor. As for the other accusation, no one should be judged on a soundbite, especially if you’ve just heard about it and don’t know all the details. Hope that’s not going to become an issue on the show. I make up my own mind about people after I’ve had a chance to see how they behave. Hope others do too.
While I think he’s being edgy with the humour to get votes, it often backfires with this demographic. A little less graphic and he’ll find a mainstream audience for it . Too edgy and he becomes polarizing.
