I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. What is Kendra…mid-twenties? It will be interesting to see what she’s like in ten years. She seems very focused IMO.
I sense some tension ??? maybe ?? I don’t know, something’s seems off. Not the same light banter and easy relaxed body language I’m getting from many of the other couples.

Kendra seems to have the boot shaking down, but that is not going to help her one iota in ballroom. I know she is the odds favorite but I don’t think she is going to be near as good as people think. Will be interesting to see how she does when she gets in front of a live audience.
Perhaps she lost her sense of humor when she really understood she’s being seen as a front-runner. I think, since she said she wants to be elegant, that she’s trying for a reputation shift. Couple that with injuries and you’ve got someone who’s tense and the season hasn’t even started yet.
From what I’ve heard over the past few years, Louis can be a bit of a martinet and maybe they’re both feeling the pressure of being the designated front-runners? Does anyone remember when he did some choreographing for SYTYCD? He was very demanding.
There is pressure, to be sure, to be the designated front runner right out of the gate. Honestly, I don’t understand the reasoning behind that – she’s cute and athletic, yes, but does that make her the front runner ? More so than disney kid and pro athlete? I think she’s also probably putting a lot of pressure on herself to show us her softer, genteel side – a different Kendra. Hope all that pressure – with an intense partner – doesn’t boil over into disaster.
Anyway ….. I have a hunch that Kendra is going to disappoint and Kirstie is going to be a big surprise – no pun intended
