As I mentioned in my DWTS season 12 music suggestion post, I’d be back with the full list of music from DWTS season 12. DWTS 2011 is kicking off nicely with a pretty wide variety of music. Which was your favorite song on the Dancing with the Stars season 12 premiere? Which song didn’t fit well?
Everyone from the show always said how much fun he was and how much they liked him. I...
My favorite was Cee Lo’s “Forget You” with Kirstie and Maks’ fun cha-cha. And obviously, a classic song like “Ain’t That A Kick in the Head” fits perfectly with a foxtrot. The song I liked least was Tony and Wendy’s song, but that may just be b/c I wasn’t really feeling Wendy’s performance.
Wendy I am sorry about the package they showed and your dancing.maybe you will do better next dance. I’m still rooting for kirstie and Ralph this season, and maybe Romeo.
Ugh, they butchered The Clash. A cha, cha? Really?
i really liked that hines ward is on this yr. and i cant believe chris, that was surprising
My fave was Kirstie’s amd Mak’s song too! Perfect song to go with their personalities and introducing us to their journey!
What a night!
I liked “Forget you” but I don’t think “Cooler than me” was the best song for a foxtrot
“Should I Stay or Should I Go” was definitely the worst of the night – I feel sorry for Cheryl & Chris. I think that song may have affected their performance negatively, since it had some really weird rhythm changes.
I think “Cooler Than Me” had the potential to be a good foxtrot, but Lacey decided to go the crazy route & just create something really…odd.
I actually really liked “The Power of Love” as a foxtrot – fit right in with the joyous feel of the dance.

Kirstie Alley was such a pleasant surprise. Hines Ward was another one…he can dance as well as stiff arm a safety. Great premier..glad to see Dmitri back.
Yeay Kirstie… and Ralph… finally showing the young that just because you are over 40 doesn’t mean you are not with it….. GO TO THE END….
I liked the Ain’t that a Kick in the Head and King of Anything songs. I like the Clash song, but it didn’t seem to fit well with the cha cha. Definitely an eclectic group though.
I’m not too thrilled they announced Chris Brown for next week. Especially after the latest incident (he smashed a window in his room after being asked about Rihanna on air). Dude’s got issues.
My favorite song right now is Forget You, so that was cool, as was Kick In the Head, Power of Love, though Catherwood was awful, Cooler than Me is a great song.
I too am disappointed on Chris Brown being on. Really?
“Forget You” was the best song chosen as a cha cha. Club Can’t Handle Me is second.
Chris Brown needs anger management.
Oh please! Leave Chris Brown alone . He is still very young and making mistakes like we all did. I’m a fan Chris baby . Hang in there. Speaking of mistakes Rihanna’s S & M video is one big one.
I think Chris Brown needs to spend more time in anger management classes before he asks the public to forget his actions. If you can’t take the heat, in this case being asked about the Rhianna incident on GMA, then stay out of the kitchen. He is obviously not mature enough yet to face the media and show us that he has truly changed. And beating on your girlfriend and then getting angry when the media doesn’t forget about it, is more than “making a mistake because he is young”. I’m certainly not thrilled that DWTS would give him a spot on the show after he showed us today that he has not changed his attitude or his violent ways.
I think Chris Brown was probably invited on because of all the crazy stuff he’s done. DWTS didn’t cast enough controversy so they had to find it some way;-)

Sure we all make mistakes, but we didn’t all make mistakes like Chris Brown did. At least if the commenter above is right that he smashed a window in his room. I don’t have anything against him personally and I’m fine with him being on the show. Especially if the pros dance during his performance. Then, it doesn’t matter who sings. However, let’s not compare him to “everyone” else.
John, that’s what every outlet is saying happened. Robin Roberts also kinda confirmed it although cops were not called so I guess there will be no charges. He apparently agreed forehand to some questions about Rihanna but then acted very pissed when she actually asked them. She was also not mean AT ALL, I would say way too kind with the wording, thanking him multiple times for agreeing to talk about it. Well, just watch the interview it’s all there. Later on he apparently smashed his dressing room window and now ABC is getting tons of mail from people saying they will boycott watching the show if he is on.

If you behaved like CB in your youth then you probably experienced jail. That is definitely not everyone’s life. I don’t think he should be endorsed because he doesn’t in any way show remorse for what he did.

And staceyk, I’m not sure what kind of trouble you got into as a kid, but where I’m from, beating on your girlfriend because she pisses you off isn’t something that can really be written off as a youthful misstep. Staying out past curfew is something you do when you’re young & stupid & “making mistakes”. Assault & battery is not.
I’m curious to see if suddenly the musical guest for next week’s results show changes, especially in light of the stuff that he allegedly did on the GMA set. It’s still 6 days away…that’s more than enough time for TPTB to call in some favors. If they can replace Susan Boyle with Michael Bolton in under 24 hours, this is ample notice to try & sweet talk another former contestant into coming back to save the day. Brandy or Nicole, anyone?

I vote Nicole. And she’s got an album coming out or already out. But I think she’s in Europe. Her single is like number one on UK iTunes.
Speaking of Cheesecake – do we do a short one this week or save it all for next week?? Performance shows are typically a bit less cheesey…
I read somewhere Brandy actually supported Chris, I guess via Twitter, after the incident happened. I cannot confirm or deny I’m just repeating what I read.
Please, please, please Heidi give us some cheese this week. I’m going to be away from this site for awhile starting Friday, and I know I’m going to have withdrawal symptoms! It’s almost as bad as missing the shows! This would be a good time to thank you all for the great stuff you post here – love it all!

Joy – Well, all we really do here is list the song and artist, so your best bet is probably checking out wikipedia. They will have every song, artist, and the dance that was done to it listed for each season.
