DWTS Season 12 Week 2- The Couples Reactions After Their Dance (Videos)
We have some fun interviews after the show from ABC in Los Angeles to share with you with the couples reactions to their second dances and more. This interviewer has to be one of my favorites. He doesn’t ask dumb questions and he seems to really know the show. He seems like a true fan as much as we are. So, let’s get right to it.
Here’s a recap;
Mike and Lacey felt better about their performance. They hope they can continue and build on it, but, Mike’s afraid tonight will be his last night.;
Kirstie wasn’t as pleased with her performance. She thought she could do better. Her and Maks also talk about their spontaneous kiss when asked about it and get embarrassed. They can’t stop laughing. It’s so cute.
Chris is getting more comfortable on the show. They had so much fun and met their goals. Cheryl mentions what an even competition it is this year.
Kym praises Hines for doing so well last night. She’s so proud to have him as a partner. He says he’s going to keep working as hard as he can and doing whatever she says.
Romeo wanted to tackle the criticism from last week and it made him work that much harder. Chelsie was so pleased when Len said they had the best dance of the night.
Petra says she’s having the most fun. She just wants to keep ‘living in the moment’ and ‘dance with a purpose’ as long as she can.
Mark and Chelsea talk about ‘taking a chance’ and they have no regrets even after the judges disapproving of their dance. Mark said their performance felt powerful and really good. He also thinks the judges should have scolded him and not Chelsea. They should have given her the score she deserved. The pop song they gave him inspired him to design the choreography. (after hearing his side, I can definitely understand how he was inspired now)
Kendra wasn’t satisfied with their dance. They plan to keep working hard and Louis says it’s ok to screw up and she needs to get over her fears. Next week he wants to show people how hot her legs are.
Karina couldn’t be more pleased with having Ralph as a partner. He understands her even when she doesn’t speak. Ralph says she pushed him and he is glad and wants to keep being challenged to do his very very best.
Sugar Ray wants to keep working on his technique and getting better. Anna talks about how important it is to “feel” everything he’s learning and the scores will come.
Wendy defends her dance last week and feels she’s been moving in the right direction from the start. But, it’s been a challenge with how busy she is. Tony says we wouldn’t believe how much Wendy has improved since they met and that’s what matters.
Shew! What a night!! I don’t want to see any of them go yet.

Great interviews! Maybe they could let him write up some questions for Brooke to ask the contestants during the show?
Not trying to slam her–I like Brooke. But you are right, his questions were thoughtful, and indicated he pays a great deal of attention to the show.
That’s George Pennacchio for you!! He’s the best…as he should be since he’s been covering the show since the beginning. Loved Kirstie and Maks’ interview. The way he tried to act as if that “spontaneous” kiss was all Kirstie. We all saw him lean in for it
@Wendy – I like your thinking…George P. should write up questions for Brooke to ask. Add some variety to her usual “How does that feel?” routine.
Just three comments… For now, anyway.
1) I VOTE KIRSTIE AND MAKS THE FUNNIEST, AND MOST FUN OF THE SEASON! so I think they have to be in the finals, so we can laugh with them through the whole thing.
2) Didn’t I see somewhere in the comments, under another thread, that MARK picked the song for this week? I did, didn’t I? Then WHY is he complaining about the producers giving him this song?
3) George Pennacchio. Ralph Macchio. Both have A-C-C-H-I-O in their names, but I was laughing to myself that one is pronounced with a K sound, and one with a CH sound. Just an aside thought from me.
Always look forward to George’s interviews. Not only does he know the show and pay attention to what’s happening on the night, but he also has an easy camaraderie with the pros and is going for the positive angle. He puts both pros and celebs at ease which always makes for a better interview.
Maks and Kirstie just slay me! I start to grin as soon as they start talking. As for the lip-lock, I swear Maks looked like he was starting to blush when George was quizzing them on it – or maybe he was just getting red from laughing. Either way it was hilarious.
I could go on about each interview, but I won’t. Loved them all.
@Lori, if I’m not mistaken, in Italian Macchio should be pronounced “MaKio”, like Machiavelli or macchiato, but I’m assuming he just goes with MacCHio because that’s how Americans pronounce it & he got tired of correcting? Haha
Yea George is great! Guys. Suddenly im like drooling over Petra Nemcova. I always liked her but shes just so nice!! And ya know. Hot. Im sure Nathan agrees.
So Wendy likes Wigs and Hot sauce…RANDOM MUCH??
Oh. My. GOD!!! Who is this Maks and what did you do with the old one?? I swear, Kirstie is the best partner he’s ever had because the two of them together are just freakin’ magic!! This is a Maks I could develop a serious case of the hots for, because I love goofy, funny boys and he’s really turning into one!!
So, is it Kirstie, or did he find love on the Bachelor?? I have to say – I doubt Kirstie will actually win this thing (although I would love it if she did), but this is a Maks who really loves the process and his partner. This guy I can get behind!!
How long till he screws it up?? If he says something stupid and then follows with him and Kirstie giggling like kids, I may not even care.
I know right Heidi!! I think last season kinda put a sour taste in his mouth because of obviuos reasons so im glad he and Kirstie and having such an awesome time!
Gosh i mean im glad they are having such a great time. I promise ill stop doing that!
LOL HEIDI!!!! I love him too and even more than before.
I don’t know if y’all looked up the Panic! at the Disco song or if anyone already knew it, but the music video is circus-themed. Mark looks very much like the band’s lead singer in that video in his costume. Also, Panic! is a very theatrical group and Mark’s choreo fit perfectly. There was also major jive content in there; you heard him listing all the figures and steps from traditional jive that he had in there after they got their comments. Despite the low score, I would count that dance as one of my all-time favorites (though it definitely helps that I love Panic! to begin with).
