Dancing With The Stars Season 12 – Maksim Chmerkovskiy And Kirstie Alley To Appear On Oprah

Set your DVRs everyone! Next Thursday, April 14th, Maks and Kirstie will be making an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. The whacky dancing duo flew to Chicago yesterday (Wednesday). They taped the show today. According to Kirstie’s twitter, she and Maks danced and they didn’t fall this time. LOL More below.

Pure DWTS 2011 – Mark Ballas: “I always feel like we deserve higher scores”

It’s “Classical Week” coming up Monday night on Dancing With The Stars. Mark mentions in his new blog at USA Today that he and Chelsea have the Viennese Waltz and he’s not holding Chelsea back at this point. More below and at the link for his thoughts on this past weeks dance, his musical projects, and more.

What did you think about our Cha Cha? I was thrilled with how Chelsea performed on Monday. I always feel like we deserve higher scores, but I guess that’s why I’m not a judge! I thought she was flawless, and the choreography was fun and exactly what the judges wanted: very traditional Cha Cha, but young and fun at the same time, which is just like Chelsea Kane. Great job, partner!

Dancing with the other Chels (pro Chelsie Hightower), was awesome tonight. I really enjoy dancing with the other pros. While it requires more time away from our celebrity partners to prepare for Monday’s dance, it’s so much fun to let it fly! Naturally, we professionals dial it back a bit with our celeb partners, as any of them would look bad if we danced all out. I must say though, I’m not holding back much with Miss Kane at this point, and we’ve only finished Week 3!

What are my thoughts on the other dancers this week? Hines and Kym’s dance had a lot of energy, and was worthy of the encore. Petra and Dmitry’s dance was beautiful and clearly from her heart, and Kendra and Louis had a great night as well. As for Maks and Kirstie, everybody falls sometime. I thought that they picked it up gracefully and finished strong.

DWTS 12 – Chris Jericho: From a Wrestler To A Dancer For The Very First Time

What a heart wearming new blog at TV Squad by Chris Jericho! Here is a take, but, don’t miss reading the full writing because Chris talks of how emotional it was to do this past week’s dance and the fan and friend reactions he received. I also like what he wrote about being able to “create a magic” and how this week’s dance made him feel like a “dancer” for the first time.

It’s funny ’cause I don’t think she really understood wrestling. She watched the wrestling matches because I was on, but she had no emotional attachment to what I was doing. But she loved dancing! I remember watching ‘Solid Gold’ (a musical variety show that was on every Saturday night in the early ’80s) with her, and she was always impressed with the Solid Gold Dancers, a troupe of hot chicks (or “gals,” as she called them) who would appear throughout the show like a glittery version of The Fly Girls. (Carrie Ann Inaba, represent, yo!)

“I would’ve made a great Solid Gold Dancer,” my mom always said. And she would’ve. My mother was beautiful and sexy — am I allowed to say that about dear old mum? — with a dancer’s body and a great personality. It’s because of this that I know she would be a HUGE ‘DWTS’ fan and would’ve watched the show religiously.

She would’ve been so proud of me for doing the show, and that’s one of the main reasons I wanted to dance for her. Doing the ‘Let It Be’ performance was amazing for me. To dance such a beautifully choreographed routine to one of the best songs by my favorite band, for my mum, almost moved me to tears.

What I didn’t expect was that it would move others to tears. All I heard after the show from family, friends and pure strangers was how they had shed a tear when they watched Cheryl Burke and I perform. They felt what I was feeling. They related to it. They empathized with it. They were moved by it.

The atmosphere in the studio Monday night was electric. There was magic in the air. And, for the first time since I began this journey almost six weeks ago, I felt like a dancer. Pure, raw emotion that moves people and provides them with a magical moment is worth more than any score. And Team Chericho felt like we scored three 10s when it came to creating such a special moment. As a performer, that’s all that I strive for.

Dancing With The Stars 12 – Karina Smirnoff To Pose For May 2011 Playboy Magazine

In a twitter post yesterday afternoon, Hugh Hefner announced Karina will be gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine in May and will make an appearance inside. This news doesn’t bother me any, but, I remember Season 9 all too well with Joanna Krupa dancing (one of my favorite celebrity dancers). At the end of the season, an issue of Playboy came out with her making an appearance in it which many claimed spoiled her chances of winning. I am not sure if that is true or not? Anyway, I hope this news won’t hurt Ralph’s chances. Do you think voters will have an issue with it and stop voting for them? If so, I think it will be a shame. (Heidi: Eh, I love Joanna and all, but that wasn’t what got her eliminated. People just liked Kelly better.)

DWTS Season 12, Week 3 – Kendra Wilkinson: “I have NO idea why the judges can’t stop talking about my chest!”

Kendra has a new blog up at OK Magazine. She writes of Louis being proud of her this week and how happy she has improved. She also writes about how the fog during their dance blinded her at a point, but, she was able to pull through it. She also wishes the judges would stop mentioning her chest. I kind of wish they’d stop mentioning their chests too. I would be so embarassed if they did that to me? lol Here are a couple of takes, but, be sure to read the link for more because Kendra also writes about the other contestants, Maks and Kirstie’s fall, and more.

I was so happy with our scores on Monday and that we improved. I could also tell that Louis was proud of me; I hit everything he wanted me to and that’s what really matters for me. He is my teacher so I want to make him proud.

I’m so glad to be safe another week! Our routines are hard and Louis really pushes me. So I think the judges judge me based on both how I dance but also I dance in the difficulty of the routine. I thought they were pretty fair. I’m hard on myself, also, so I think I am my hardest critic.

Louis says that I’m too hard on myself! Ha ha! He tells me to shut up all the time, but in a good way. Like, ‘SHUT UP! Don’t be so hard on yourself!’ Louis is very determined. He is determined to get me to do the dance moves and that I understand them.

The fog machine was the hardest part of the week for me. It was NOT supposed to be that much fog at all. I couldn’t see through it so I got really lost with where the stairs even were because I couldn’t see.

I’m tired but I’m making sure I don’t overdo it. I get massages when I can to loosen up my muscles and I get rest where I can. This is a marathon, not a sprint, so I’m making sure I can physically do it if were to make it to the finals.

I have NO idea why the judges can’t stop talking about my chest! Kirstie, Wendy and I all have chests, I’m not the only one! I have no idea why it keeps being brought up. I really haven’t even worn anything low-cut.
