Spoilers!!! DWTS Season 12, Week 4 – the Results!!
I must say, me and Courtney’s twitter feeds are not pretty.
I think I read a “you’re dead to me!” directed at Kendra after her comments tonight followed by Sugar Ray going home. That’s right, the sweetest guy in the competition and a real class act is taken out by the bunny. :::sigh::: Well, I was only off by one. Does this mean Courtney’s mom doesn’t like me any more??
There is so much material there for Cheesecake that I hesitate to say anything more. But I will say that Kendra is nearly a lock to go home next week, but Petra better kill it. And Mark – you’ve been spanked but good. Let’s see how out of the box you get next week.
Recap – what this means is that Kendra got at least 14,600 more votes per million votes cast than Ray did – not a huge number at the end of the day, but surprising, at least to me.

I am still stunned. Why the hell is she there if she’s going to sneer and roll her eyes every time the word ‘ballroom’ is said? UGH, she totally, TOTALLY has turned me off.
There were some interesting behind the scenes clips tonight though. *g*
Oh yeah.
And that’s all I’m going to say – for now.
Oh my god. I am so disappointed. I really do not like Kendra after tonight and her asinine comments. That ranks up there with Bristol and her middle finger. Ugh.
On the other hand, while Sugar Ray’s attitude and classiness will be greatly missed, I am so so so glad that it was not Petra. I could not take it if Petra was booted over Kendra.
I will admit that I haven’t seen the results show yet, but right now, not sure how quickly I am going to be running to see it….
I’ve heard enough…..
Remember, there have been instances where something that is shown in a results show gets someone eliminated in the following week…..
I will miss the Sweetness that is Sugar Ray and Anna…
Like probably everybody else, surprised that Kendra is not the one leaving. Even Louis expressed his displeasure at what she had said last night. He had better choreograph their number much easier for her to even have a chance next week.
Very glad to see Ryan and Ashleigh from SYTYCD in one of the performance numbers. They both got farther than anyone expected (6th and 5th, respectively) in their season, and they are excellent dancers. That lift and “almost drop” at the end was very well done.
Louie was not happy with her thats for sure. All that work and she doesnt care. What a slap in the face. I hope she is sent packing next week.
she’s got 1.2MM twitter followers – that has gotta help somehow.
Okay Louis, the ball is in your court. Do a routine she can do easily, without thinking. And tape her mouth shut, whenever there is a camera around…
Twitter followers often don’t have any correlation with votes. Kim kardashian is one example. Lil’ Kim had a million followers but got beaten by Ty who had far less. It won’t carry Kendra far, especially not after tonight.
What did Kendra say? As @Lori said, I’m no longer in a rush to actually watch if it was that bad.
Also, Kendra apparently has the foxtrot next week. More of that icky ballroom…

This just sucks! Sugar Ray is such a sweetie and he put his all into each dance….not fair.
I have tried to write a few thoughts about Kendra….but….I give up! Too mad about her crappy attitude and that she’s still there!
So sad about Sugar Ray. I love him and his attitude. Also thought Anna did a terrific job.
Hormones, Kendra???????? Man. They didn’t show Kirstie’s face close-up, but I saw close enough to see an interesting reaction from her to that statement.
Poor Louis.
Regarding twitter followers, I think it depends on the celebrity whether they help. Kirstie, for example, has twitter minions. lol
I actually asked on the previous thread about numbers of votes cast. How many millions per week? If 100,000 twitter followers cast 10 votes each (rounding the number) that’s one million – and that’s ONLY the hardcore twitter followers.
Not much left to say that hasn’t already been said. I agree with Laurie…I couldn’t take it if Petra had gone home over Kendra. And I thought Wendy Williams was bad… :/
Kendra is such a disgrace at this point. I can’t believe she had to talk about her hormones tonight.
I’m glad Mark got “spanked” as Heidi put it, but, I bet it won’t change a thing. He’s gunning for “attention” in a Lady Gaga kind of way and hopes it will work for them and put them over the top. Well, I don’t think it’s going to work as he is just making people dislike them that much more.
I dont mind tonight’s results; he and Kendra were both relatively equal, so to me it was pretty fair. And I pray that Mark’s “spanking” has an effect on him, he’s hindering Chelseas ability by pushing Lens buttons which, while gives her more popularity/notoriety, kinda leaves a sour taste in my (and I assume other viewers’) mouth after the ooh’s and aah’s wear off
First, it’s not like Chelsea and Mark were in any danger. That was the most predictable final elimination they could have done. Anyone that thought Chelsea would go home instead of Sugar Ray was crazy. An old boxer vs. a Disney star in voting? Not even close.
I’m surprised no one’s commented on the real loss of Sugar Ray: Anna. I thought that Anna looked incredible tonight. She’ll be missed.
I knew Kendra would stay. I think she has a lot of people voting fo her for whatever reason.
And what exactly did she say that has everyone up in arms?
I haven’t had time to read many of the posts here but is it me or does Louis really dislike Kendra. I’ve been noticing it for the last three weeks or so. He just looks at her sometimes like he can’t believe what she just said.
@John – Can’t address it b/c denial is the first stage of grief.
Sigh.
Unless Kendra gets a serious attitude adjustment and learns how to “let go” while dancing and not be so in her own head, she’s gotta be the next to go. After that it’s gonna be rough until the end seeing everyone else go.
Mark’s not exactly my favorite but I can kinda see why he’s being so daring and different with his choreography. Like someone else mentioned, it seems like he’s trying his best to make he and Chelsea stand out since the race is so tight this season. I can see how it would rub people the wrong way but at least he’s not taking the safe and boring route.
What did Kendra say, is there a clip of it?
I know she said “I don’t really care about elegance” when Carrie Ann was critiquing her but then later said she was sorry she said it. She blurbs out things from the top of her head and acts like she never saw the show or knew what she was getting herself into.
Still, I called it that she wouldn’t be the one going home this week and I think it’s fair, even though I adore Anna and Sugar Ray was so joyous. I think he had far less improvement potential than Kendra has, if she can pull it together which I’m starting to doubt. Especially because her partner is not really at her side. He’s giving her choreo too difficult to handle every week and is now majorly pissed at her when she is freaking out.
Talk about uncouth?!? Do they not teach the social graces at the playboy mansion – probably not, eh???? I actually thought Brooke was pretty good with her comeback to the “hormone” conversation. You just can’t have a scripted answer ready for that!!! Tom, on the other hand was speechless for a change. Or was that just disgust??? Talk about the dislike factor at work. Good-bye Kendra!
John, I totally agree about the void on the show now without Anna. Hopefully, she’ll be back doing some pro dances.( in place of the “troupe”!)
Sass, Brooke had the 3 lowest scorers in the celebraquarium and they showed the recap of each couple’s dances and then Brooke asked them her generic questions about how they did, what they felt, etc. Kendra was last and she blamed her bad performance on hormones and then basically said that she got her period Monday night. There was silence, then eye rolling from some of the other couples and Brooke said “I love your honesty” or something like that.
Totally tacky, classless, and as Meggie said, uncouth.
I’m not a Louis fan BUT when he told of kendra in that hallway, I loved it. Mark learned his lesson hopefully. I was watching videos of him and Shawn and him and Krisit and I noticed something. he didn’t have much of an ego back then. Now, his ego looks like its getting the best of him and making him screw up Chelsea since he has to take risks or whatever he calls it. I wish it was him who took this season off and not derek.
Oh, John, I’m GUTTED that Anna is gone! She’s my favorite female dancer. I had hoped she’d have a few more weeks even though Ray wasn’t exactly floating like a butterfly on the dance floor. *sigh* I shall miss her.
Thanks Laurie.
I don’t really get what’s wrong with her saying she got her period. Some women have a tough time with it, so why should that be kept under wraps?
I feel a bit sorry for Kendra, she obviously has no filter when it comes to speaking publicly and is freaking out with difficult steps taught by an overachieving partner, all of which makes her come of as rude even if it’s probably just insecurity.
The part I don’t get is people doing the show without knowing what they’re getting themselves into which is obviously her case. Is it that difficult to watch some clips on youtube beforehand?
Like when Wendy asked Tony what his name was. Wouldn’t you know the names of your THREE potential partners (going by height) for the most watched show on television?!
Kendra’s whole bit seemed too much like a reality TV show. Louis told her off, she’s sitting on the floor crying and the camera is right there – it seemed cheesy. I know the show is live, but it is NOT reality TV and I hope they don’t go that route.
I will miss Anna, too. And if Ray had to go it is good it was last night because I really enjoyed his last dance. He went out on a good note.
The nerve with Kendra to say she doesn’t care about elegance! My advice to her is to quit the show. It’s unfair to Louis, the judges and those who are watching! She has no class!
On another note, how about that pro dance with Karina and Louis?!? Man, they were smokin’! I have half a mind to vote for them for Design A Dance!
Well, I missed the show and only watched later in fast forward – so I did not hear Kendra. She’s totally unfiltered for sure. I’m more sympathetic than anything but she’s in a bad spot – much of it is her own making. Anna Anna – sick about that. I think she and Ray really enjoyed working together and that he loved her as a teacher and partner. I hope we see her again in a dance soon. And now that Ray has been seen as fun and sweet (in tights!) we’ll see where he shows up next.
I dunno, John, there are a couple reasons they would put Mark and Chelsea up there even though most people would think it obvious that Ray was going home. One of those reasons is that they aren’t getting the votes and the producers want them to stick around so they put them in jeopardy – it was totally ridiculous and transparent, whatever their intent. When have they had Len go to such extremes taking back his criticisms of the couple? At that point in the show? It struck me as off in a big way. But it probably worked – people might just vote like crazy for them now.
Too bad Mark’s ruining it by telling everyone on twitter that they were never in any danger. Is he right or is he in for a shock in a week or two??
John, I was sad to see Anna and Ray to leave as well. I expected Ray to go in the next few weeks, but, not right now. Sad. I just love Anna to bits. I hope we’ll still see her in some pro numbers.
As for Kendra and the “elegance” and “I’m a tomboy” talk always, she had to know that “elegance” and dressing up elaborately on DWTS was part of the package, didn’t she? I guess not.
What Laurie said, plus the whole issue with Louis and her saying she didn’t care – he was pissed.
vin, what really got me about Mark was him yelling at Chelsea while she was trying to talk to the camera saying she knew they were taking risks (smart girl) and Mark is in the background yelling “no we’re not! we’re not taking risks!!” Basically being all petulant – that really bothered me. He seemed upset with her and he’s yelling behind her while she’s trying to talk. Is he in denial or what? Whatever it is, he needs to go out to lunch or dinner with her, no cameras, and explain to her what to say and what not to say on camera – what their narrative is going to be. Where does he think that song between Derek and Nicole came from – “The camera’s really on me now”?? I would put money on the fact that they had a conversation about how EVERYTHING is fair game to be shown on the show and that you had to be aware of the camera at all times. I think Mark might have forgotten that at the end of the day, this is a game and you have to determine a good strategy for playing it.
Heidi: “Too bad Mark’s ruining it by telling everyone on twitter that they were never in any danger.”
That is so uncool of him to do!
Heidi:”Is he right or is he in for a shock in a week or two??”
I hope he’s wrong and he’s in for a BIG SHOCK!!
Looks like we’ll be seeing Anna again very soon!
From ew.com:
“As for Trebunskaya, she said she’s coming back next week to dancing to one of the visiting performers. Toby Keith, perhaps? “I don’t think I’m supposed to say who,” she says. “Jonathan and I are coming back to do a very patriotic dance.” ”
I know that will make you Jonathan fans very happy too.
OOOH!!! Hope it’s the Angry American song… But, more likely, he’ll sing American Soldier… And I will find the youtubes of these songs….
Derek’s tweeting to Mark and Chelsea…. I’d rather him retweet his brand new nephew….. (Sharee had her baby, Quaid Robert, and Aunt Jules retweeted a photo…)
Reading these comments (good observations, fun to read) sounds like Mark understands the drill but now wants to shift the show to fit him and his goals. That’s gonna end badly. Most everyone else is in on the concept and will keep drawing a paycheck. If he wants to branch out in a different direction with dance or music – feel free to leave and do it.
Kendra is proof positive that you can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can’t take the trailer park out of the girl…
Between not caring about elegance, and her talk of her hormones, and then the tears when “everyone just doesn’t get it”…. Oi. Time. to. go. away. girl.
Derek is loyal to a fault. Sounded like he tweeted right after watching the show on Monday night.
I have a feeling Mark may be digging their dancing grave, his ego head is sooo big im surprised he could wear that silly hat. I think they were in danger, and he is turning people off this season, just his behavior on twitter is just ridiculous.
I would have loved Louis in the hallway to turn around and b**tch slap Kendra…
I really thought I would like Kendra, but nothing about her has impressed me. I’m sad to see Sugar Ray go over her. He really seemed to love the show, and he and Anna were so sweet together and completely gracious after being eliminated.
If the over-hyping of Chelsea and Mark being in jeopardy last night was an indication that they haven’t been getting as many votes as expected, then clearly his “entertaining” choreography is not working. Routines like what Hines and Kym or Ralph and Karina did Monday seem to be what the audience likes. Why do I feel like I know how this show works better than someone who’s actually a part of it?
Kelsey and Sandy:
I think you guys are absolutely right. I really don’t care for Mark’s choreography either. I am really surprised at him! If he continues he will get voted off.
This is where everyone should appreciate Derek’s choreography a little more, god I miss him. But Karina, Kym and Maks are doing a great job so far! I really appreciate the old fashioned way dances should be danced.
To be honest, when I watched the encore performance of Chelsie&Mark with a critical eye, I only found 2 places in the choreography that I didn’t like. And yep, it was the times when Mark was flopping around on the floor. Everything else was fine, really, and mostly very classical. But apparently those sore spots made such a big negative impression on me the first time around that they colored my view of all the rest of it.
Sally, you are too funny!!!
I’m very excited to hear Anna and Jonathan will be back to dance. Love them both and especially together!! Can’t you see these two in a “Get Smart” kind of show falling in love? He falls for the Russian Spy kind of thing.
Thanks, Meggie!
Here’s a recommendation for Chelsea & Mark — You’ve spent the last few weeks trying for “out of the box” choreography in order to get noticed. At this point, maybe the MOST “out of the box” thing you could do is to “get back in the box”"??? How about a well-choreographed routine that is “mainstream” – the dance, the costumes, the makeup, all of it. I promise that I, for one, would really sit up and take notice of that, and would appreciate it greatly.
The thing that got me about Mark’s floor crawling (well, other than the fact it looked like a seizure) was that Chelsea was just standing there. I got it, she had the “magical rope” on him, and was pulling him back in. But like I said, she just stood there. One of the reasons pros do things like that is to cover up deficiencies in their celebrities, and I think Chelsea is better than that.
The magical rope thing annoyed me. Mark’s floor crawling really was the worst part though. Mark could have done his twirl thing instead but instead looked like a fish out of water on the deck of a boat. I really was hoping that Hines or Ralph got the encore though.
Just wanted to weigh in on Heidi’s comment about Mark yelling in the background as Chelsea was talking. In the short time I have been watching this show I don’t think I have ever seen a pro do this…he was talking (yelling) right over what she was saying…they weren’t even standing close together! Rude.
I feel bad for her because I think she is a very good dancer….although I must say (as a “way” older than 22 woman) that I am about sick of their “we’re young” comments. Yes, they are young and that’s great….but, sorry, it’s just much harder when you are 40, 50 or 60. Party on!!!
I will miss Anna.

This is an interesting idea.
Not only was she standing there, Sally, but she was in the background of the shot while Mark was the focus of the shot. I can’t tell you how many times I WISHED the camera would stay on Derek more when he was dancing – there was always hip thrusting or some such thing going on and the cameramen always focus on the woman.
Which is actually how it should be, unfortunately for me.
Kendra has a very disagreeable personality to be sure, but at least there was an attempt at dance. Certainly everyone has been upset, swore, what have you in rehearsal. No one is immune. Take all of that away and you have to assess performances. Besides I had a feeling the show wanted it to go just that way. Edit Kendra by highlighting all the nastiness so that she just has to leave, and surprise everyone by sending sweet Sugar Ray packing. But, bless him was more like Uncle Drosslemeir than any actual dancing. He was in the bottom 2 previously so it factors he would go.
I really enjoyed Chelea’s and Mark’s “Harry Potter” dance & their Jive dance from few weeks back. Yes they were different, however they did stand out and I was able to remember it much later. Her weird cha-cha number from last week I wasn’t a huge fan of. they way she keep touching herself was very distracting, IMO.
Sally–I agree with everything you said. But week 4 may be too late to get ‘back in the box’. I think the first 2 or 3 weeks are crucial. Two of Marks dance routines were just kind of creepy. I have picked my favorites by now and it would take some showstopping performances at the stage to sway me in another direction. jmo
I think I am going to need some time to sort through what has been said during this comment thread….
Should I take it that we can guarantee that while Chelsea may be wanting more “in the box” dancing, that Mark has decided that they have to be “out of the box?”
The thing is, about them claiming that they have to be this way “because they’re young,” THEY ARE NOT THE YOUNGEST DANCERS! Chelsea and Mark are 22 and 24 years old (I think, not 100% positive) and Romeo and Chelsie are both 21 years old. If Mark’s logic that he has to produce “cutting edge” outside the norm choreography, because he and he partner are young, wouldn’t it “logically” follow that Chelsie, being younger with an even younger than Mark’s partner, partner, should also “have to” produce similar cutting edge and out of the box choreography?
Instead, Chelsie is giving Romeo great choreography that is within the box, and he’s able to stand out based on HIM, because the choreography is more about what he’s learning, and not his Pro…..
Mary, there hasn’t been an actual bottom 2 on this show in I don’t even know how long. They very clearly spell it out when it is a bottom two and they haven’t done that. In fact, they say the opposite. Tom always says, “While these two couples aren’t necessarily in the bottom 2, one of them is going home tonight” or something similar.
I realize that they said “not necessarily” the bottom 2 when Sugar Ray was standing next to Mike Catherwood, but I sensed his days were numbered. I think the show is doing what they’ve always done, bait and switch the actuals. Unfortunately, he’s just not a dancer, boxers traditionally go early and although Anna’s fanbase got bigger with Evan, she’s not had enough winning partners to sustain a large fan base of her own.
But you said that they were in the bottom two like it was fact, when you don’t actually KNOW that. As for “baiting and switching the actuals” – that’s all guess work also.
As for boxers going early – that’s beside the point of the original point and that was a “bottom 2″. That said, I don’t remember any other than Sugar Ray, Evander Holyfield, Floyd Maywether and, I guess, Lalia Ali. Lalia took third place, Evander was eliminated 2nd and Floyd 4th – that doesn’t equate to “traditionally” going “early” – whatever is considered “early”. The sample is far too small, considering we’ve only had 4 or 5 out a over a hundred dancers.
After watching the show for awhile you can deduce a few things. Evander and Floyd’s boxer stance was never going to be corrected, and Sugar Ray was almost exactly the same. It’s just one of those things you pick out early. I knew it as soon as I saw him in rehearsal, no practice barre was going to change that posture, especially since he’s over 50. The not necessarily bottom 2 for me was actual bottom 2. I also felt the judges were really soft peddaling the criticsm of him as compared to others. So, If the producers think a couple needs a boost or could potentially benefit for the audience believing there’s a chance they could go, then put them in jeopardy and they might eek out another week. He eeked out a couple of weeks but his time was up
In the first few week’s it’s best not to reveal the actual bottom 2 because it’s a tell and they want people to keep tuning in.
Everybody can deduce things, Mary, it’s all still guess work. My point remains that you shouldn’t state things as fact when you don’t know them to be so.
Ive Been out of town and not able to post. Good to be backk though!! Anyway….OMIGOSH!!! Why the heck did America vote this irratating slut back on the show over Suger Ray and Anna?? They improved, she deproved, Ray has a great attitude, Kendra’s sucks, Anna T wears pretty dresses, Louis doesn’t…oh wait. Anyway im pieved off at this but glad Petra is still on!! Im going to do everything I can to vote against her next week unless there is a MAJOR turn around in both attitude and dancing.
Mary, You remind me of Andie so much…wonder why.
