DWTS Season 12 – Tom Bergeron Dishes On “Classical Night”, The Judges Bickering, and More

Popwatch has a great new audio interview up with our wacky host (and Heidi’s want-to-be husband, lol) Tom Bergeron. Tom thought people would be clicking their remotes to something else on “Classical” night fearing they were pushing the limits too much. To his surprise, Monday night ended up being one of the top viewed 4th shows for Dancing With The Stars. I have to say Classical night was one of my most favorite nights of all the shows I have seen. How about you? I hope they will do it again and please bring back David Garrett.

I have never heard of David Garrett until last night’s result show. I have to say that I’m really impressed, loved his music. Already checked him out on itunes. I agree, hope we see more of him on DWTS.

David Garrett was incredible, I had never heard of him as well. DWTS can have him return at any time. Hes real easy on the eyes. I did not enjoy Jennifer Hudson at all, maybe im in the minority here but after a night of David, Jennifer just didnt measure up. And what on earth was she wearing.

Sandy, Jennifer was wearing her, “I just lost a lot of weight and this is what I really wanted to wear when I was sixteen” dress!

I loved Classical night too!

Really did NOT like “classical” night! Hope that goes the way of the round stage! If I you want to watch people dancing to classical music watch PBS! DWTS has a great band, contemporary music is more fun to watch, and the dancers do better routines to music with lyrics!

Classical night was a HIT with me! Loved David Garrett and loved Jennifer’s second song on Results Night. Her dress? Not so much. But… I found the lighting distracting during the dancing. Loved the orchestra, appreciated the singers, but was iffy on the lighting.

And Tom… well, by God, he’s the best there is, ain’t he?

I wasn’t wild about Jennifer’s performances either. I could take or leave her. But, David is another story.

Sorry, Steed2, but having to Paso to songs like “Crazy Train” is just that….crazy. Give me classical and that 46 piece orchestra every week. This was one of my favorite episodes in all 12 seasons I’ve been watching the show.

I had a feeling that I was going to like the music, and I did! I LOVED it. The show struck an excellent balance between a novel theme and adhering to the strengths of DWTS.

I’ve seen David Garret perform – love it, but I never found him attractive. Must be the hair. Do not like!

I’ve actually never really listened to Jennifer Hudson sing, but I really liked her second song.

I thought Classical night was fantastic. Loved the music, the special guests, the choreo…so well done. I agree with GorillaTom – my favorite episode so far in the history of the show.

I hope they do it again next season.

I also thought Jennifer’s dress was a bad choice – not flattering at all. She needs a new stylist.

Is there anyway to download David Jarret’s performance of Walk this way on my ipod? Love this guy, never enjoyed violin playing at all till I say and heard him! Wow! Handsome guy!

never enjoyed violin playing at all till I say and heard him! Check out bluegrass or Charlie Daniels for some fiddle playing!
