DWTS Season 12 Finals – The Las Vegas Odds Before Showtime
It’s the “quiet before the Dancing With The Stars storm”. Get ready as these last three dancing couples are not going out without a bang. That is for sure. So, what do the odds makers in Las Vegas think? Nothing new really. Once again, they have Hines in a pretty solid first position. Chelsea is not too far away in second with Kirstie just a point behind. I truly think this is anyone’s ball game and anything can happen. Let’s throw the dice and let this final contest begin.

Anyone else feeling, “meh” about this? I guess that 15 point giveaway took the fun out of it for me. Without that, I don’t think Chelsea would be in the final 3. If she makes the final 2 (and why shouldn’t she, they’ve come this far guiding her in), there’s no reason to get vested. And my point here is separate from how I feel about her and Mark – it has to do with how this whole season is playing out.
I’m still excited. But, I know what you mean Jay. The 15 point dance was so wrong to do to fans and the dancers last week. It makes you wonder how the judges/producers will stack the deck this week? They are ruining our show and if they continue on this path, this show is doomed.
Can’t agree more (with both you). That 15 point gift was a BAD move. AND when someone like me doesn’t care….that’s really bad. Ha.
I think they have already stacked the deck in Kirstie’s favor. I thought last week was all about getting the Disney princess through, but the more I look at it, it was about getting rid of Ralph so there wouldn’t be a split of the ‘old contestant’ vote.
By not doing a redemption dance, they help Kirstie avoid one of the bad dances (pretty much everything except her Rumba and her first dance) and let her do the one that really got everybody excited, the first one. I think Chelsea and Hines were going to improve on their dances whether redemption or just favorites, so this decision is helping Kirstie. As does not having a second dance that is judges only voting on Tuesday night – that might only help extend the space between the scores of the other two and Kirstie – as she isn’t going to get as high a score per judges as Hines/Chelsea, they just can’t, the level of dance that Kirstie has just isn’t there (and showmanship only goes so far, see Marie Osmond…).
Kirstie is set up for the win. It will be a shame though, as much as I like her personality, it’s still a dance show and she’s not a good dancer. Performer, maybe, personality, definitely – but when you compare her to any of the past winners (especially the last two) – no comparison at all.
I’m also feeling “meh” about this, and agree that Chelsea wouldn’t be in the final 3 if it weren’t for the WTA dance. Frankly, I’m so disgusted with the manipulation and the way the treated Ralph and Karina, that I just want this season to end. I hate to be so negative and normally I dread the season ending, but I’m just so sick of how they tweaked things to get the results they wanted. And, there was still no reason to be so rude to R&K.
I for one am so tired of watching Mark out dance his partner, really this is suppose to be team effort here. The boy has a huge ego problem and its all about him. I was disgusted that they got the 15 points especially after his very bad behavior this season. So if he and Chelsea do win is it a fair win, NO not a victory for her to get it that way. Its a shame what little respect Mark has shown for her.
I sincerely hope they put Mark off after this season. Even tonight dance is over he is still shaking, really get over yourself Mark, and get some new routines they are all looking alike.
Seems to me the judges were making up to him for his bad behavior, I am tired of seeing that kind of thing. Its like watching a spoiled child get his way turns my stomach.
I hope Hines walks away with it, I agree what they did to Ralph was low. Have to hand it to Kristie her age, her weight she did not let that stop her. But I agree she is in this final by pure luck. Would like to see Hines win it. I have no plans to watch next season.
