Pure Dancing with the Stars 2011 Poll Results
As many long time readers know, we’ve had a pretty good track record of predicting the results of Dancing with the Stars using a poll on Pure DWTS. Turns out that we have a large enough readership that it generally does a good job of representing the viewership of the show (or at least the viewership that votes on DWTS).
We could go back to past seasons of DWTS, but even this season our poll predicting the DWTS 2011 final 3 was spot on (sorry Ralph fans).
We also posted a poll near the beginning of Dancing with the Stars season 12 to see who would win the mirror ball trophy. Here’s an image of the results:
I’d have to say that it’s pretty amazing how accurate it’s been. Chris ended up leaving before Kendra and Ralph left instead of Chelsea. Although, considering the 15 points extra that Chelsea got, I wonder if we would have been spot on with Ralph in the top 3 if DWTS hadn’t thrown that wrench in the process.
It’s also worth noting that the Pure DWTS readers predicted Hines and Kym to win it all really early on.
Vogue posted a poll about 5 days ago predicting who people wanted as the Dancing with the Stars 2011 winner of the final 3 and here are the results of that poll:
Based on those poll results, I think it’s quite clear that Hines and Kym have this mirror ball trophy in the bag. Plus, it looks reasonable for Kirstie to be in second place and pass up Chelsea. There you have it. Will the Pure DWTS readers polls predict the Dancing with the Stars season 12 winner? I’m feeling pretty good about this prediction.
I sure wish it had been Ralph and Karina in the mix for the MBT this Season – as it SHOULD HAVE BEEN (sorry for shouting). DWTS screwed Ralph/Karina and us big-time.
Still, Pure DWTS will stay golden, IMO! I’ve really enjoyed the intelligent, insightful, and humorous articles and comments from everyone. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying, “Major thanks to all here for making Season 12 such a fun experience!”
Don’t know what “Lucky” Season 13 will be like, especially if Derek and Maks move on to greener pastures (which they both richly deserve), but if Pure DWTS is here, count me in.
Hines/Kym or Kirstie/Maks for 1/2. I’d do a happy dance, either way!
Thanks John! I LOVE THIS!!!! I’m really hoping Maks and Kirstie will be the winner, but I’d be happy if it turned out just like this. I thought Ralph would get a little farther too and probably would have if it weren’t for the bonus dance. It’s amazing though how much PureDWTS called it from the beginning.

I’ve gotta admit, I hope the poll is wrong, but I figure it will be spot-on. Pure DWTS is ALWAYS spot-on, IMO!
I want to echo what Cidra said – this is a great website for insightful, intelligent conversation about our favorite show. I think that Heidi, Courtney, Vogue, and John deserve a standing ovation for all of their dedication and hard work to make this site the GREAT PLACE that it is! Thanks everyone!

I agree that this is a great site. Many thanks to Heidi, Courtney, Vogue and John for keeping us up to date and also amused. It’s nice to feel that you can come here and just voice opinions and get feedback, or just plain vent. It is always such a void when the show is over and seems forever before the next season starts. Amazing how addicting this show is. I, too, am sorry Ralph and Karina didn’t make it to the finals. I sure loved them and Ralph seems like such a stand-up guy. Whoever wins tonight should be celebrated, no matter who it is, as this is a lot of hard work and practice – no matter whether you have danced well or not – it’s a major effort and I know I could never do it. So hat’s off to the winner!!! Let’s hope there are no “fixes” next season though as that has really ticked off everyone from what I have read. Happy Summer everyone.

So sad about Chelsea and Mark. She certainly did better and was outstanding in the field of dancing. It should have been a tie for first place between Chelsea & Heins. Shame on Bravo for making this a popularity contest instead of outstanding talent in the field of professional dancing. I could see the judges were overly shocked when Chelsea was made third place winner. (Carrie Ann’s mouth remained opened as was mine) I will not be watching this program anymore until talent rules over popularity. I know my friends feel the same way.

It seems like we hear comments like this every season. Personally I love the dancing and the ballroom dancing so much, I don’t really care what happens with the voting. Sure, I have my favorites and I’m sad when they get sent home early, but just because it’s a popularity contest I’m not going to deprive myself of the enjoyment of watching the great ballroom dancing.
Just my 2 cents on it.

Thanks for posting. I totally agree with Cidra, I wish it had been Ralph winning the trophy, and it REALLY should have been. Or at least him in the finals. Idiot judges, they were so unfair, rude, and disrespectfful toward him. Poor Ralph and Karina!
Funny how people & the show saying that this was the most unpredictable cast in years and it was just the oposite. First show and the top for finishers were easy to predict. Ralph really was cheated out of his place in the finals.
I’ve been watching”Live” since season 9 & this has been my least favorite season by far. Hoping for a better season 13!
