Dancing with the Stars Season 13 Cast – Pick me!! Pick Me!!

Every season we have campaigns run by stars or their fanbases to get them on DWTS. Starting last season, DWTS has gone out of its way to encourage massive campaigning – yet they pick no one who has a serious campaign up and running. Why do they do this?? Who knows? I often wonder if they do it to clog up twitter so badly that those of us who look can’t separate the campaign from the rumor. 🙂 I do know I’ve seen a few campaigners in the last few days that I don’t think we’ve mentioned before – and some that we have, like Shelley Martinez, who haven’t given up just yet. We’ve covered a few that were new to this season, such as Michael E. Knight, Randy Jones and Ellen Kay.

So who are the newbies?? Or, if not newbies, people I haven’t seen campaigning before? Let’s start with Christine Lakin. Christine is an actress with a pretty long resume but nothing HUGE – which means she’s perfect for DWTS. You might know her as Al from “Step by Step”. It’s not ringing a bell with me, but I’m sure she has a lot of fans, since she has people campaigning for her on abc.com -and she’s up for it!

Christine is also listed as “choreographer” for a few theater productions.  So, ringer by talent??

Next on the list is Tracy DiMarco from Jerseylicious – I wouldn’t say Tracy is campaigning, per se, just that I saw a tweet from her where she indicated that she was up for it. Of course, I can’t find that tweet NOW. 🙂 You’ll have to take my word for it.  I think it more likely that she has fans campaigning for her.  I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I have seen a few episodes of Jerseylicious 🙂 and she would be an interesting girl to have on the show. Kind of a female Situation with a bit of a hair and makeup obsession. 🙂  Seriously, I like Jerseylicious a thousand times more than the two episodes I saw of Jersey Shore – no, I don’t know why. 🙂 Would love to see her with Derek or Mark simply because I don’t think either of them would know what to do with her….although Derek did have Lil’ Kim and he handled that very well.  Then there’s Maks – who puts down all Jersey related shows for how they portray the NYC metropolitan area. 🙂 THAT would be fun. 🙂

Next up….the Real Melina.  No, I don’t know her last name. 🙂  She’s one of the ladies of the WWE!  She’s also a model who has been in several pagents.   Is she up for it?? Well, let’s just say I would pay BIG MONEY to see this:

She’s into it!!

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Tony Dovolani Tweets about Amateur Ballroom on DWTS

Could this be what Maks was referring to when he spoke about “special arrangements”?? Makes sense, since Lacey and Cheryl also appear to be doing similar things at their studios. Maybe they are having a contest between the pros studios?? Or is the “special arrangement” something else? Hmmmm….any ideas?? Inside knowledge? Wild-assed guesses?? 🙂

Dancing With The Stars Louis Van Amstel “Drop Dead Diva” Appearance (Video)

Hey Guys! Thanks to @DWTSGossip at Twitter for this news, you can watch Sunday’s “Drop Dead Diva” episode with Louis and Margaret Cho >>>>HERE. Below are some takes from Margaret via The Sop about Louis’ appearance…

“Louis was so gracious to do a wonderful cameo for us because he was in the middle of filming Dancing with the Stars,” says Cho, whose show films in Atlanta. “Of course, he was competing with Kendra Wilkinson and so he didn`t have a lot of time. He came in on a red eye, danced and choreographed the whole number, filmed with us, and left that same day to go back to rehearsals. So we`re so grateful to him. He was just marvelous.”

“Louis and I worked with the choreography — some of it from Dancing with the Stars — and then he took all of the moves that we had learned over that period of time and put them together and made like a mash-up of the best of,” Cho explains. “So we do like the most athletic, the most dynamic and showy ballroom moves, and we show them off to Grayson and he gets very intimidated.”

“I think a lot of the spins, the twists, the turns, learning how to be dipped. You know, having faith in who you`re acting with ” making sure they`ll carry you. I think that`s what I learned most of all from Dancing with the Stars is trust. When you trust somebody else to lift you and pick you up and hurl you around and catch you, I think that`s huge. So I definitely bring that to Drop Dead Diva.”

I haven’t watched the episode yet, but, from a fan at twitter, they say Louis danced to Shaun Barrowes’ song “Hop, Skip and a Jump” Hop, Skip and a Jump - Big Bang Theory and it was “pretty cool”. If you watched it, let us know your thoughts.
