Hope Solo On Dancing With The Stars Maks Chmerkovskiy: “He’s crazy, I can’t dance….”
As reported to you earlier, Maks is campaigning and pleading with Hope Solo to dance and be his partner on Dancing With The Stars this upcoming Season. He even took to ESPN radio lastnight to do so. Today on ESPN, Hope addressed him during a post competition soccer interview with Japan. She said, “He’s crazy, I can’t dance, and I can’t walk in heels!” Check it out at the 4:11 minute mark. Her face just lights up when the interviewer brings up the topic.
Well, at least it wasn’t a definite “no” yet, right? I am really hoping this union will come true!
Heidi’s Note: Now we officially have three different interpretations of that interview!!
Edit to add: Below is another ESPN interview where Hope mentions Maks should ask Coach Pia to dance instead. lol You can hear Maks’ interview on ESPN radio a little too.

LOL Heidi!!!!!
I hope thats a sign she does the show lol.
I like both young ladies in this interview. They spoke well about the team and the game that they love. Imo, don’t think Hope Solo will be doing this coming season of dwts.
I saw Hope on Letterman and I wasn’t sure I liked her. Either she’s kinda snotty or she was very nervous to be on Letterman – in which case she won’t be able to handle DWTS very well.
I don’t think she’ll do it in any case – the Olympics in less than a year and all.
The fact that Hope says she can’t dance is meaningless for DWTS – lots of stars come on who can’t dance, yet learn the ballroom dances quite well – that’s what dance teachers like Maks are for! Her not being able to balance well in heels would probably be a bigger challenge that not being able to dance. She seems nice enough and she’s certainly a pretty girl – I’m sure that’s part of what Maks is reacting to – her looks, her athleticism, her work ethic as an elite athlete, her fitness/strength as an elite athlete, and her will to win/determination to succeed. I heard Maks say in his ESPN phone interview that Hope reminded him or himself! So Maks may not give up so easily in trying to get Hope as his partner – she didn’t definitely say no, and if he asks her in person she’ll probably not be able to say no to “His Royal Hotness”.
Maks isn’t the casting agent for the show, though, and the pros don’t have any say in their partners. I think Maks is just talking – which is fine. They all have their ideal partners.
I don’t think she’ll do it but I think producers are going to try and lure her to do the show. She is very fiery like Maks so she’ll be fun to watch.
