Lacey Schwimmer Talks Dancing With The Stars And Performs New Single “Love Sounds” On KTLA
KTLA 5 interviewed Lacey this morning. She talked about growing up in a dance studio and around theatre and how she was destined to dance. The interviewer asked about the Disney stars on Dancing With The Stars and why they’ve done so well. Lacey thinks it’s because they know how to perform and entertain. You are drawn to their face and not their feet and they are sweet. Now, this may be nothing, but, in the first video they don’t ask Lacey if she’s coming back to Dancing With The Stars. They just go straight to asking her if she knows who her partner is this next Season. Hmmm?? In the second video Lacey perfroms her new single “Love Sounds” 
. I think her new single is really good and it’s fun seeing her and her dancers dance to it. More below…

Seriously?? She’s lip syncing to a track that’s been auto tuned to death! Who knows if she can actually sing or not. I may not be a fan of Mark’s music, but he actually CAN sing, and he does it without a ton of electronic help. As does Derek, which is a real shame because he doesn’t seem to be pursuing it. This is about as unoriginal as you can get – pretty sure Brittney Spears already has this market cornered.
As for her coming back?? I don’t think she’s sure at all – she clearly adds in an “I hope” when saying they find out their partners in August. I don’t think the Ballroom Battle thing makes getting a partner a sure thing at all. Ballroom Battle is a way to keep the pros who may not get a partner involved in the show though – I think the only guarantee in that group is Cheryl Burke. And maybe Mark.
I agree, Heidi. This song is just awful, and I feel sorry for her if she actually can sing. If she can, then why not use her natural talent? It makes me think she can’t and is just doing this because it’s the “next” thing to do. In all honesty, I wouldn’t miss her if she sat out a season.
My ears hurt from listening to that! Sorry to those that like it. But the choreo was supercute. It would have probably been better if Lacey was part of a singing group than a solo artist. I just don’t see her getting much success with songs like that.
I think I actually preferred both Paris Hilton AND Kim Kardashian’s failed forays into music over this cat shit. It’s overproduced, ridiculously generic, auto-tuned beyond belief – and Lacey’s voice, regardless of how much electronic assistance she got, is really kinda juvenile…brings back memories of the girl who always got the solos in 7th grade show choir. The cloyingly sweet, coy, Marilyn Monroe-wannabe cooing into the mic. BLECH. And the lyrics???? Ugh…”go all night till your love comes out”???! God I hate thinly veiled references to jizz. Just…ewwww. What’d they do, tap the same bozo that wrote “Friday” for Rebecca Black to pen this nightmare? Vogue, you know I love you, but thank god you like this song – because I don’t know that Heidi & I could even be semi-nice when it comes to critiquing it. At least we have Vogue around in order to help us reach our “we have one dissenting opinion, so that means PureDWTS is not a bunch of ‘Lacey-haters’!” quota
The dancing is cute, I guess. I think they may be trying to market Lacey as one of those singers that’s actually better as a dancer…kinda like a J. Lo or a Britney.

She’s terrible on the lip syncing. But al least she is a lot better dancer than Brittney Spears. Hope she is having fun, but I don’t see her having a career in music that will amount to much.

Ugh! I’ve said it before – With as much electronic manipulation as they used, you could make my dog sound just like that… I can see it now… “Bart the dog covers Love Soundz!!!!”…. would the dog need a W-2 and a Social Security number for the IRS????
And Courtney is right about the lyrics – When I realized what she was singing, I went from disliking the song to nearly losing my dinner..
Lacey, honey, don’t give up your day job. Putting this as charitably as I can – that song is garbage.
