Dancing With The Stars Cast 13 Rumors: One More Controversial Contestant?
Just a little quick update on the rumored celebrities to dance. E Online is reporting on the David Arquette, Chaz Bono, Rob Kardashian, and Elisabetta Canalis rumors today. However, nothing can be “confirmed”. A show rep told them. “We will unveil the cast this coming Monday night live during Bachelor Pad on ABC.” They were also told there is atleast one more controversial contestant and far more controversial than the names listed at the link. Here’s a take….
We are hearing rumblings that David Arquette and Chaz Bono have signed on; however, nothing can be confirmed at this point. A show rep tells us: “We will unveil the cast this coming Monday night live during Bachelor Pad on ABC.”
Rob Kardashian (brother of newlywed Kim) is also rumored to be a part of the cast.
And we first reported the rumor that George Clooney’s ex, Elisabetta Canalis would be competing for the disco ball trophy.
We are also told there is at least one more controversial contestant—far more controversial than the names listed above. Hmmm!

I highly doubt DWTS would be that stupid so as to cast Casey Anthony. 1) she’s not a star not that that has stopped them before (see Bristol, Delay) 2) Although it would be a “smart gimmick” to get America to tune in, it could certainly backfire on DWTS and it would be way too risky to lose lots of viewers. This is not a case of guilty/not guilty, it’s a case of DWTS is not stupid so as to do a big jaw dropper stunt casting such as Casey Anthony.

Not to mention that with the number of death threats against Casey, she’d be stupid to put herself out in public like that. Plus she has to serve her probation in Florida, and one more, the cost of security for the show in terms of making sure no loonies with guns got in would be way high. I wondered about Tiger, but not sure with his recent injuries he’d be up for it. Plus, he’s playing in the President’s cup in November I think. Charlie? I suppose anything is possible where he is concerned
Ann Coulter – that would be funny to watch her attempt to dance. I think she would be too busy arguing with her partner than dancing. She surely would argue back with the judges.
I really don’t know who else would be controversial that may be interested in DWTS. Now I really can’t wait until Monday to see who the contestants are.

OJ’s in jail, Casey Anthony is on probation and can only go to school, not even work. If they put Anthony Weiner on there and I was a female pro I would have to refuse to dance with the pervert. There’s too much close contact which is probably the only reason he would do it.
I know everyone is terribly afraid it’s Ann, but honestly – I don’t think she’d do it. She seems like the type that would say “If it doesn’t further my political agenda, it’s not for me.” Now someone I am legitimately scared that it might be: Christine O’Donnell. She was a rumor last season, but turned it down…but since she lost the general election and has also fallen into some financial trouble, what’s to say she wouldn’t change her mind if asked again?

I just thought of another possiblity, Dina Lohan. Her name was mentioned a while ago as a rumored contestant for this season, and then nothing was mentioned about her.

. The Kardahians and the Simpson’s were also very close. Robert and OJ were tight and so were Kris and Nicole and their 4 kids and OJ’s 2 were good friends aswell. The family has often commented on how hard it was on them during the trial. Anywho as much as I doubt it.if OJ and the Kardashians were under the same roof for the first time in almost 20 years??? Can you say ratings? 
Also I think you could be right Heidi and being suprised on the woman come Monday. I think Hope is for sure, Kristin is probable, and I guess so is Chynna, for the rest Jury is still out for me since the only cast mate who we have actual proof of being in is David Archette and he came right outta left field. I’m guessing this controversial figure is one that you guys reported on already like Anthony Weiner or Snooki or Roseeann Barr (her singing the national anthem made her controversial in the past). Hopefully its not a Palin, Ann Cutler, or somebody really really political related (with exception of Bill Clinton but thats’s prob never gonna happen sadly…..i know it sounds crazy but I liked him as President).

@Sally – You bring up a good point that I wondered about when there were rumors about Mike Tyson and other men who have sketchy pasts being signed. I wonder if the producers or ABC even care about the dancers. Mike Tyson was convicted of raping an 18 year-old and has had a history of violence. And of course we all know Anthony is really in touch with his body part reflected in his last name… If I were a female dancer I would not want to be forced to spend hours on end with these men. I think ABC would be crazy to sign one of these guys, but judging from some of the people they have already signed and have signed in the past they obviously don’t always care about wholesome, family values despite the fact that the network is owned by Disney. While David Arquette has not been convicted of anything to my knowledge, the fact that he has had substance abuse problems and other issues makes me wonder why they couldn’t find anyone better. The fact that David went on a media blitz airing all of his and Courteney’s dirty laundry and also bragging about his affair with a bartender while he was married shows what kind of a class act he is (insert sarcastic tone)…

Well everyone has a back story of some kind or another, celebs or otherwise, that lead them to where they are in life now. For example, Nancy’s fiancee was shot to death many years ago which led to her career as an outspoken prosecutor; David A. grew up in an abusive household which may have led to his drug addictions, and we all know about Chaz’ struggle with gender identity. As long as the celebs are kind and respectful to their dancing partners now, they deserve our respect. It’s someone like Jake and his controlling relationship with Chelsie who really turned me off… and he was considered “normal/typical/all right” before DWTS!
Ha, I can’t think of anyone I’ve hated on this show more than Jake and Kate Gosselin.
And poor Tristan. I was hoping to see some more of the guy, but I can’t even want for him to last past the first week now.
@Meggie – True, but I do think that they could be a little more selective in the casting process. I hope for Kym’s sake this David turns out to be better than the last David… It was well-known that the Hoff was an alcoholic. I found it creepy that every chance the Hoff got he made it known to the media and the paps that he wanted to date Kym, who is young enough to be his daughter. So maybe getting kicked off early was a blessing for Kym so she wouldn’t have deal with unwanted advances all season.

@Meggie: I certainly hope you’re right about David A. It’s just that we haven’t *seen* any evidence that he’s turning things around, but maybe that’s just a lack of publicity (or my own fault for not seeing it). All I’ve seen/heard about lately is David going on Howard Stern and blathering on about things that are best not said.

@Sally – That was MONTHS ago. He’s been rather quiet lately as far as I know… and I watch ALL the infotainment shows, American and Canadian. I think he’s truly trying to get his shit together and there’s plenty that have done worse than what he did – in mental anguish – on the Stern show.
He was one of Oprah’s last guests. He came on and talked about everything, including how he was trying to turn his life around. He sure sounded sincere to me.
@Sandy – I almost think it would be “dues paying” for Tristan, having a partner that unpopular. You ever noticed that since about season 6, they tend to stick newer pros with less popular or harder-to-teach contestants? I think of Fabian & Marlee, Inna & Ted, Chelsie & Ty (who was not good at all to begin with), Dmitry & Holly, Anna D. & Michael, and Damian & Pamela. I guess I can understand why – to maybe see if they sink or swim. You notice a lot of those pros I mentioned were not asked back for another season? I guess maybe if these one of these newbies can take someone as unpalatable as Nancy Grace and manage to keep her around for a few weeks, it’s a testament to their abilities as a pro – both in teaching a celeb & working the PR angle. And I agree with Meggie – I’ve said numerous times that there’s been people on DWTS that I disliked before they were on the show (The Situation & Pam are the two that always come to mind) that ended up pleasantly surprising me & becoming my favorites. There’s also been numerous contestants I thought I would like that I ended up hating (chief among them – Erin Andrews). I definitely think the context of DWTS can really change a person’s behavior (or the public’s perception of it) for the good or the bad. Who knows – Nancy could be the show’s next Jerry Springer, endearing herself to the masses despite her reputation; or she could be the next Kate Gosselin (totally with you Buttercup – worst contestant EVER on DWTS!) – hated by pretty much everyone, including her pro partner. Time will tell…and that’s IF she’s on the show…;-)
As for David Arquette – I HOPE the show is a stepping stone in him getting his life back on track, and not some feeble, last-ditch effort to get Courteney’s attention (heed the spelling, please – I claim sovereignty over the spelling of my name around these parts
). I remember reading an article about how he was desperate to win her back, and was just in absolute anguish over his current situation. It was very sad 
He could go the Steve-O route, where the show was actually therapeutic to his recovery; or he could go the Hasselhoff route, where it just seemed to throw him further into addiction. Again…time will tell.

I also learned over the past seasons to go in with an open mind, my real first example of eating crow was with Kelly Osbourne. I thought no way would I watch her, but……
Do you guys think that they would pair Mark with Nancy Grace if she did the show? That would be very fun to watch (at Mark’s expense of course but either way she would keep hm in check lol).I would feel bad for Thristan since its like an audion 4 future seasons really (if you do good on your first season odds are you come back in future seasons it seems) and he seems like a quiet guy and she is very loud and opinionated. I hope its not Val who gets her though…..kinda want a Maks, Derek, and Val finale since that would be cool to see. I kinda hope Val gets Christina Milian and Derek gets Kristin C. I have reasoning for this actaully: I think that Kristin and Derek would be a great pair personally wise and that makes a HUGE diiference on the show.They just seem like they would get along very well. The same can be said for Val and Milian. Lastly, if Ryan O’Neal does the show I think its either Anna or Cheryl. Either way he is in good hands but I have this feeling that its Lacey and Rob K since Kym has David A.
I guess Hines might be considered controversial if he were cast now after his DUI arrest. I have always liked Hines since he became a Steeler, but there were times on the show when I saw a little different side of him. I thought he was very sweet to Kym after the accident, but I have to say there were a few times I thought he was a bit disrespectful to her earlier in the show when he made comments about trying to kiss her on the dance floor, “tounging her down” and trying to be romantic with her at practice. I’m not sure if he realizes that in implying that they were an item he created some whacko HineKym stalkers. There’s one freaky girl on Twitter who’s been constantly harrassing Kym for the last several months about Hines…
@Courtney: I agree about David A. I think that he is using this to get back into the spotlight more since Scream 4 came out a while ago and if he did the show just in time for him to mention it on the show too. Plus, his carrer is going to die down if he doesn’t show his appeal to the general public more since the majority of hsi fans seem to be people born in the 90s like myself (due to the scream movies mostly).
@vin – If Chaz really is on the show this season (and I’m about 95% positive he is), I don’t think they can afford to give him anyone but Lacey, based solely on height. Chaz is only 5’1″, if I remember correctly – he’s already going to be at a 2″ deficit if he dances with Lacey, assuming she doesn’t wear heels (hehe…somehow I don’t think she’d mind that). If anything, I think Lacey would be thrilled to have Chaz – she seems to have a penchant for “controversial” celebs…even though they turn out being not-so-controversial in the end. And without elaborating – as funny as it might be, Mark would not be paired with Nancy IF Nancy did the show, since he MIGHT already be paired with Kim Richards.
And MM, I feel you on those Hinekym shippers. It’s really getting out of hand…I’ve seen the tweets. Makes me wonder if some of these people have nothing better to do with their life than meddle in the love lives of DWTS pros…

The tweets are outrageous. If you’ve seen them then you know who I’m talking about. Kym obviously doesn’t use Twitter that much. I was concerned enough about the chick’s stalker-like behavior that when I met Kym I mentioned the girl by name and she had no clue who I was talking about… And it obviously didn’t register when Kym replied to one of the nutjob’s tweets recently.
I agree about keeping an open mind when it comes to the contestants on DWTS. There are some celebs that when announced as being on the show, I didn’t think I’d like, but then once I “got to know” them, I often ended up liking them a lot.
If Tristan has Nancy Grace (which I’m sure is an absolute at this point), I’ll root for him because I want him to succeed. And Courtney, you’re right. I think it is a bit of “dues paying,” though maybe not in a “let’s see what you can do with a difficult person,” but maybe as in maybe Nancy didn’t request a certain pro, and everyone else was already pretty much matched up. Maybe he ended up with her by default. But at least Tristan has teaching experience, which will serve him well. He’s also super nice and as he says, he likes to keep things light. Hopefully, he’ll be able to bring out a different side to her. I hope they last at least a few weeks, just for his sake. I think they will, given who some of the cast is, and unless someone is a just a total shock of good talent, I’m thinking she might go home around Week 3 or 4. At any rate, I hope she’s at least respectful to Tristan and his teaching, instead of the complete biz-natch that Kate Gosselin was to poor Tony. I agree with y’all – Worst Contestant Ever!
There seems to some sports type figure that may be a surprise come Monday, maybe Mike Tyson is doing the show or Ron Artest, however, Ron does need to appear in court on Sept. 16 for outstanding traffic tickets and at that time he wants his name changed to Metta World Peace…. okay then, … I am not crazy about either of these two, Mike or Metta!

As far as Nancy Grace is concerned, again, I seem to be in the minority but I like her. Granted, I haven’t watched her show in ages so she may have said or did something that I missed. That being said, I doubt she’d last long in the competition.

Nathan, Nancy is ‘the Billy O’Reilly’ of the Prosecuting Attorney world. She has a sensationalized, extreme, judgemental, controlling, and bullying approach to everything. She likes to stir stuff (and I’m putting it mildly when using the word “stuff”)…and the more the better. I don’t know how else to explain it except to say she is a REAL “B—-”. lol If you didn’t like Kate Gosselin or Bristol Palin, you haven’t seen nothing yet.
I do hope we see a different Nancy when it comes to dancing (if this comes true). Poor Tristan. I hope he can handle her.
Nathan, I like her too actuallly. She just has a very strong personallity and doesn’t take ANY crap from anybody that breaks the law so I think that’s why she can come off as mean, pompas, sharp tongued, and crabby on her primetime show show or Swift Justice. The law breakers just get her all pieved off.
P.S. Courtney, would say at this point we should just be totally prepared to see Nancy, Monday? Vogue, LOL! I can see why some people dont like, Nancy, ofcourse too. I just dont mind her.
Well, I have seen a different side to Nancy when she talks about her personal life. Just to be upfront, I don’t watch her show, but I’ve seen enough while visiting my mother to know what she’s like on it.) I saw her a few years ago on Oprah discussing the birth of her twins. She was gracious, charming, soft-spoken and very grateful to have her twins in her life. I think we will see more of this side of Nancy, IF she’s on the show. I think a lot of her controlling, hard-hitting personality on her show is just to get ratings. Yes, she believes what she’s saying, but she delivers it the way she does for a reason. It would be just like Nancy to go on the show so Casey Anthony wouldn’t, but I think once she is there, she will be polite and respectful to her pro.

Im not totally convinced on Kristin or Chynna but they are all I can think of. The dots are really lineing up for Nancy so idk Im starting to think she’s in, possibly, plus Courtney knows something to the extent of Nancy on the show I think that she doesn’t wanna say yet to what I understand so I am respecting that in spite of dieing to know and waiting till tomorrow like a good boy.
