Quick Vote: Do you see any A-listers on the Leaked DWTS Cast?
Now that we have the leaked Dancing with the Stars Season 13 cast (certainly there could be some changes tomorrow, but this is looking pretty solid), I thought it was worth asking the question of whether Dancing with the Stars attracted any A-list stars to the cast. You may remember that TMZ reported that Dancing with the Stars was looking for more A-list stars.

Ricki Lake + David Arquette
David, Ricki, and Ryan are all a-listers imo!!
TMZ have got lots of things wrong this season, so I’m not even sure I believe they were aiming for A-listers.
I think you could argue that Ryan, Ricki, David, Elisabetta and even Metta were once A-lusters but, for various reasons, aren’t anymore.
I meant “a-listers” of course! Although that’s quite an appropriate auto-complete error.
A-listers need to be A-listers now, not 10 years ago or longer. David A. was never an a-lister imo, so for me no A-listers in this bunch. I didn’t think of Kirstie Alley as an A-lister either – B-lister maybe.
Some definite B-Listers, but no A-Listers IMHO. But someone else’s definition of A-Lister might be a lot broader than mine.
Maybe a couple of B Listers but the rest C’s, Ds and no listers. I’m not thrilled with the lineup and can already hear all the sad stories of overcoming adversities. Thank goodness we have Maks, Derek, Tony & Val to look at and watch dance. And all the lovely women pros.
Well as far as like big names on the Hollywood acting seen idk if i’d say A lister on David but he’s a good B +
In MY opinion Riki, Nancy, Ryan O Neal, are BIG names and Ryan was an A lister atleast in his hay day, I say he still is. Everybody also knows who Chaz Bono is and The Kardashian name is atleast A lister. Dunno about Rob. 
They will never have a cast of A-listers, everyone will argue the point. They have to say A-listers to draw everyone in.
I guess the producers could advertise,
We have an exciting new cast of nobodies, all C and D listers…. LOL
I guess the definition of A list can vary widely, I tend to think of it as current actors who get big movie roles. And of course they don’t have time to do DWTS. But I don’t think it’s negative or derogatory to think of the others as not A list. I like the variety, I like the come back kind of chances, I like the athletes, (some of who are A-list for sports.). So when I vote no, I’m not thinking of it as a complaint at all. I’m looking forward to the season, and every season, even if sometimes there are some I don’t know, or think I don’t like, or end up not especially liking. I still love it.
I ‘heart’ your comment, Jess! I feel much the same way, except that I would include Veteran Hollywood Royalty as A-Listers. Like… take Barbra Striesand… DEFINITELY A-Lister. Her hubby? James Brolin? Not so much (He’ll always be Dr. Steve Kiley for me). Faye Dunaway (who was rumoured for… last season?) I consider an A-Lister.
And you’re right, there are A-Lists for actors, athletes, singers and public figures.
Perhaps these people are considered A-List in THEIR worlds – not necessarily the mainstream world.
I’m going to be watching for the pros, the dancing and Pure DWTS cheesecake this season, as none of these leaked celebrities really interest me at first glance.
By A-listers, do you mean a Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, John Travolta, or Julia Roberts? That will never happen! These folks make millions on each project and they’re not going to sacrifice that for a $250K DWTS contract (assuming they make it to the finals). I’ll be content with anyone who can be entertaining, regardless of their fame or status.
I would consider some of the Pro Dancers higher listers than some of those so-called “celebrities.” Just because you dated an A-lister like George Clooney doesn’t mean you’re one as well. If I watch it will certainly be to watch the pros who are way more talented and likeable than that cast of characters they have this season.
Ryan O’neal is the only A lister. He was a big time movie star in his time. He should NOT be doing this show for that reason. Well, he is 70 years old and has a bad knee as well. This show is VERY fortunate to have snagged him.
Plus he doesn’t have the temperment to deal with the judging. I’m looking for a SAD outcome. True movie stars shouldn’t do this show.
Nancy Grace? The entire male population will probably refuse to watch the show. I hope Maks doesn’t get her or there will probably be war.
