DWTS Val Chmerkovskiy Says Elisabetta Canalis Is Very Talented And Capable (Rehearsal Studio Interview)
Ahhh, the rehearsal interviews begin and first up is Elisabetta and Val!! Val talks of how he thought there would be some kind of rookie initiation, but, how lucky he was to be partnered with Elisabetta. He hopes to present her the best he can and not pay any attention to the press. She is very talented and capable and he has to remind himself to slow down with her. Elisabetta says Val is very sweet. More below and is Val’s hair not cute or what?!! I think I’m going to pass out?

I’m liking Val & Elisabetta as a couple more & more with every new interview I see. They’re very complimentary to each other in a non-gushy way, and they both have quite unusual attractiveness that’s beginning to grow on me.
I really like Elisabetta’s straightforward no ‘BS’ manner of observation and speaking. She’s very honest and doesn’t do the usual Hollywood sugar-coating. Val kind of strikes me the same way too (though in a different way than Maks is straightforward). I think I’m going to like Elisabetta and Val together.
They are adorable. I agree they are growing on me too. She seems very sweet, and trying so hard to express herself in English. And Val, I wanted to support him because he’s such a good dancer, and Maks’ brother, he sure seems like a sweetheart.

Oh yeah, love this picture of Val and Elisabetta. They’re lovely to look at, and technically I have high hopes for them. They both seem like genuinely nice people. Elisabetta’s English is coming along. Agree that I find her honest responses, refreshing, and I like that Val doesn’t jump in and try to find words for her or speak for the team. That said, their inexperience in how to conduct headline grabbing interviews could be a bit of a handicap. Their reserve might be their undoing. I really hope not because I’d love to see them stick around.
Oh dear, this is going to be a tough season, because everyone is so likable — even The Putz has his moments.

Interviewer to Elisabetta ” Soooo who have you just really bonded with and have a special connection with in the cast that really just is special to you than maybe some others, special as they may be?
Her response: ” You mean who do I like the most? Seriously dude how much more chocolate syrup and sprinkles could you have poored on that sentence? Ugh. Americans”.
Seriously though I laughed at that! She is so cute and yet seems like someone you dont wanna mess with. I like that. She was being nice but you could tell she was reasy to flick that pony tail in the interviewer’s eye the minute he asks a ” George Clooney ” question.
Those Chmerkovskiy boys sure can take smouldering pictures.
That alternate cast photo is lovely! I do notice in that pic, their official one and in Maks and Hope’s official photo, to me at least, the boys are showing off their partners, placing the attention on Elisabetta and Hope. I like that!
I also notice that Val has the same love of the word “Amazing” as his brother does.
Val and Elisabetta are very pretty and very sweet, I think. I’m looking forward to seeing more of them!
I am really hoping Val and Elisabetta do well. I also noticed that the “C” brothers seem to put their partners in the limelight…and they both have that delightful Russian/Joisey accent.
Yes, the pic is hot beyond words. The C bros are hot beyond words…Why?….jut look at the way they handle a woman. Just the way they LOOK at a woman. I’ve always said that about Maks and it’s clear now that it runs in the family. Derek and Mark may actually be better dancer/choreographers and I love them both….BUT….when it comes to male/female chemistry….you cannot beat Maks. (And now he has some competition from little bro.) Would love to know what Dad is like. Ha. Have seen pic…and he’s not hard on the eyes but they must look like Mom…whom I’ve NEVER seen a pic of. Has anyone?
Forgot to mention Elizabetta….she’s actually adorable. (Come on George…what is it with you?) And watche the video of David…he’s adorable as well…..albeit kind of goofy…which is endearing. This season will be fun…if the Carson, Nancy and Chaz critics back off. Geesh…lighten up people.

I thought I had one of her smiling because I believe that Maks totally has his mom’s smile. And she’s a short, curvy little thing and the boys absolutely adore her.
Joan, I think it just depends on a person’s tastes. I think Derek is hot (along with both C men). I think he has a way of looking at women too in the way you mention. Whatever it is, all three have the unexplanable “it” factor when it comes to looks and dancing. Though not sure about Mark. He doesn’t really do anything for me.
A bit off topic but if you want to see what their parents are like watch one of the later episodes of the Ukrainian version of The Bachelor because the final 3 girls met Mama & Papa C. The ones uploaded by codebear have translations in the comments. Their dad is a hoot.
I really like Val & Elisabetta more & more with every interview. I hope their personalities really shine through because that might just be their saving grace.
That’s a matter of opinion, Joan. Neither Maks nor Val does a thing for me – Derek all the way. I think he’s had great chemistry with all his partners. I really only saw Maks have chemistry with Kirstie and Mel B. The rest were….well fine, except for Erin who I despised. And I think she reflected VERY poorly on Maks.
In fact, I totally don’t get all the raving over Val – not attractive at all, to me. But like I said – it’s a matter of opinion. There is no “chemistry czar”.
