DWTS 13 Val Chmerkovskiy Talks To Access Hollywood About Brother Maksim & More (Videos)
Access Hollywood has some more videos up with Val Chmerkovskiy. In the first video, Val talks about Maksim and how they’ve always been best friends. He talks a little of how different they are and how Maks has a “charm”. He also talks of how he had to defend Maks when they were in Russia last year. “It’s family over everything!”
In this video, they ask Val if he’s attracted to his partner Elisabetta and if there is a romance. Check out what he says about how Elisabetta isn’t as focused as he is on dancing and why. It’s a hoot!!

I thought he did very well in the interview, which for me was the first ‘in depth on the couch’ type I’ve ever seen him do. Before this, it’s always been soundbites. And I do like him and Elisabetta together, they’re very pretty.
I was impressed with Val in this interview. He’s a doll when he smiles so I hope he keeps smiling.

Yep, The younger Mr. C is quite different from “The Maks” — less of an extrovert, perhaps gentler, not as volatile. But I’m getting a sense that Val is cold steel in a velvet glove.

Adding: I have to say I get so annoyed with Kit and Billy. Why can’t they ask deeper questions like George from ABC LA and not dumb questions trying to see and insist there is a romance, etc.?

I hate when they always ask about a romance…. Especially when they have known each other about two or three weeks… Actually kinds of turns me off. Why do they always think right away there is a big romance??? I can not stand Billy Bush and his silly questions and answers…..

Aww. Val is such a cutie. I agree, he is adorable when he smiles..different from Maks, but he has his own brand of Chmerkovskiy charm. It would be a hoot if Val won with Elisabetta. I think Maks would be so proud. And yes, Elisabetta is very pretty.

Yuck. These people are worthless interviewers. Why not ask Val about his competition career and about his professional partner being part of the DWTS dance troupe.

Because, Deena, they unfortunately don’t care about stuff like that. That would require that they do research and actually know who they’re talking to. Val will just have to deal with it like Maks, Derek and the rest, who all have professional lives outside of DWTS.
