I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. @Vogueerista: np not gonna lie when I read the article title I assumed it was Hope Solo since Kirsite had a lot of mishaps/unexpected events last season.
I’m not looking forward to it as much as I was. I just ran across an audio clip of an interview David Arquette did with Howard Stern on Sept. 6. I won’t link to it here, it’s just too vile. It was 15 minutes of a typical Howard Stern rant, basically about what sex acts David should perform on Kym. And David? At best, he was a sophomoric, giggling sycophant. At other times, he was making it worse, adding fuel to the fire. I’ll still watch DWTS, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before any of my votes go that horrible, twisted, little man…
Sally, I listened to that interview too. I’ve never really listened to Howard Stern before, I didn’t realize what a sleeze he is. Has be always been such a creepy pervert? I found the whole thing really disrespectful to Kym, and David didn’t do much to stop him or raise the tone.
Hmm.. and I’d been planning to vote for David. Perhaps he is someone who is just easily lead by those around him, maybe that’s why he seemed better when he was with Courteney.
Sally, I’m kind of with you there. Kym is my favorite pro but after hearing David’s call-in interview posted on youtube I will have a hard time voting for him as well. I posted my comments about the show a few days ago on another thread which no one saw. David calls into that show all the time and he should’ve known that Howard would be vulgar and treat Kym with the same respect that he treats all females. The fact that David spent the whole interview laughing like Beavis and Butthead after they’d eaten a whole pan of special brownies show what a classless guy he is, which I kind of suspected anyway since he’s been referring to Howard Stern as his coach all along. Uh gee, isn’t Kym your coach David? I thought the whole interview was extremely distasteful and disrespectful to Kym. I just hope she’s never alone with him especially when David stated to Howard that Kym has to travel with him after Howard told David to bring Kym to be on the show. I hope ABC says “No” to that. There’s a woman on twitter actually asking Kym to do the Stern show, but I’m not sure why any woman would go on that show just to be degraded.
I actually thought I would love the pairing of David and Kym (and her awesome boobage) but I am just not feeling it. Granted that could change but somehow I don’t think so unfortunately.
I’m not sure that Kym was really as thrilled to get David A. as she said, especially now if she’s heard the interview. Kym’s always referred to her partners as “amazing.” I swear if I ever saw Kym out and about I think I’d want to say “C’mon Kym…” Hey maybe you all should start a new segment called “C’mon Kym” (as opposed to “C’mon Man” on ESPN). Example: Kym: The Hoff was so amazing. PDWTS: C’mon Kym… or Kym: David A. is so focused and serious in our rehearsals. PDWTS: C’mon Kym…

Yeah, it was just awful. And if I recall correctly, in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the interview, David suggested a question that Howard Stern could ask Kym… disgusting. That’s what I meant about him adding fuel to the fire.
David said in other interviews that he wants people to get to know him better. I think this interview gave me all the information I needed, Mr. Arquette.
I also saw an edited 2-minute version with some video of Howard in the studio… shows you just how different something can seem with a clever editor.
