Dancing With The Stars Tristan MacManus, Ricki Lake, And Hines Ward On The Nancy Grace Show (Video)
Nancy Grace had her partner, Tristan MacManus, on her show lastnight. They talk of their new team name and grill and tease each other. Nancy asks him how he came to dance. They talk on their rehearsals so far too. LOOK at Tristan’s SMILE! *sigh* They are adorable and their chemistry is addicting. Hines Ward and Ricki Lake are also guests. Way fun! More below!!!
ADDING: below is another video Nancy added to her You Tube Channel of her grilling Tristan. It’s so funny!!!

Great chemistry and banter between them! It seems Nancy’s already fallen for his Irish charm. I’m liking them more and more together and hope they do well!
Nancy’s dry humor with DWTS cast is soooo funny! Tristan is definitely yummy.. Mmm, Mmm, Mmm!
Love them together! Hope they stick around for awhile!
Humma Humma Humma…. Im speechless. Love these two together and Tristan is a dreamboat. I love when he taps on his nose while speaking, he did that before in a previous interview. Maybe its a secret signal sent out just for me…… LOL
Aw, Tristan is cute & he and Nancy seem like fun together! Ricki means serious business! I can’t wait to see her & Derek hit the dance floor.
First – thanks for all this hard work gathering up all these yummy videos. You gals and John, ROCK!
I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty much loving everybody. Ron Artest I can barely understand when he speaks, Rob is kind leaving me cold a little bit – his interview together w/Cheryl sucked (in photo costumes, sitting in chairs); but I’ll let the dance floor do the talking with these two. JR & Karina are going to be magical; Chaz has such a great attitude, can’t wait to see him dance ….glad to see he’s got some moves!! Val & Elisabetta look stunning together, let’s hope we can say the same about their dancing. Ricki looks frumpy (I’m sorry, but it’s true), fortunately Derek makes up for that. In spades
Kristin will do well, and they may end up in the finals, but not with the MBT, IMO. I didn’t listen to David/Stern interview – didn’t want to ruin my day. I love Kym, David should’ve known better, hope he wises up soon – he and Kym could be terrific together (isn’t that what we said about David Hasselhoff LOL), let’s keep a good thought he doesn’t spoil it with the voters. Hope looks capable and beautiful (but maybe another Natalie Caughman – physically capable, but not able to get into the mood of the dance?) Maks looks so thrilled, though – like puppy love. Nancy & Tristan are going to be a hoot – hope they stay around a while just for the sheer entertainment value they will bring. Ditto for Carson & Anna – these two sparkle together. Fingers crossed they both can dance even just a little bit. Chynna is a little bit of a mystery – haven’t seen her in any rehearsal video, I think she looks wonderful, and she & Tony make a good looking pair. I have a feeling she might be a little inhibited vis-a-vis her body/movement. Don’t know why I feel that, just my gut I suppose.
OH NO Sandy, I can assure you that Tristan’s nose tapping is his secret signal just to me!
LOL
Tristan is so cute and what a charmer!!!
The way Derek looks right now would make anyone look frumpy. That boy is seriously muscular now. Hot damn.
I really like Tristan. He’s a cutie. Feel a little sorry for him since he does not have an older brother helping him along and does not have a clue how to develop a fan base. But seems Nancy will push him along.
WOW – the accent.
“And lucky enough, a bit of hard work and it’s led me here – to you.”
“Well I’m the lucky one, from what I’ve seen on the practice floor.”
“Well I don’t know about that one now.”
**sigh**
@Rebecca, I think you’ll find that Tristan does have a strong fan base. He has many fans who’ve followed his career for years, and some, like most of us, who came to appreciate him last season. Plus, Nancy, whether people like her or not, has a HUGE fan base, and Tristan is quickly winning them over. In barely a week, his FB Fan Page has built a strong following, and I have no doubt that, despite this all being so new to him, he will rise to the challenge and connect with the audience in a way we haven’t seen him do yet. I mean, think back. Did any of these pro dancers have any idea how to build a fan base when they started? I think he’ll surprise a lot of people.
Post updated with another video if some of you haven’t seen it yet. It’s hilarious!
These two obviously “get” each other’s humor, which I have to give them credit for. I love the teasing, his laugh and her “hard-hitting” act. You can tell she just wants to laugh at him but she’s staying in character. (You knew he was going to get teased about that tongue, right?) I really think they are going to surprise a lot of people.
Lots of people have come into this show with huge fanbases and have not won, because the fanbase either doesn’t vote or is terribly over estimated. The Kardashians are one example of this. Lots and lots of people have had cable shows that do really, really well and who others think gives them a great fanbase – but the cable shows STILL don’t have the fanbase that DWTS does, or even lesser rated network shows. Nancy has the same uphill battle that a lot of these people do. Seriously, if having a cute and popular pro and a decent fanbase was all it took, Derek and Maks would have won every season. Tristan will certainly come along (if they let him), but don’t forget that Derek, Maks and Mark (and Tony) are all still THERE. As is Cheryl, Lacey and Anna.
All I’m saying is – if you’re thinking that Nancy is going to win, or even make it halfway, based on those factors, I think you need to temper your expectations. Right NOW, before seeing any serious dancing, this season looks really, really tight. I think the real weak links are Rob and Ron – but we have NO CLUE who is going to be a hit with the audience. Someone has to be first one out, and right at this minute, I have no clue who that might be.
Heidi
Just to change the subject a little. What are the chances the pros will open the season premiere now that there is a new stage?
Heidi, in no way do I think Nancy will win. Just as there are tons of people that love her, there are tons that despise her. I believe if she lasts past the third week or so, the “anti-Nancy’s” will be out in full force voting for others, just to get rid of her. You are right, until we see them all dance, there’s really no telling who will be the first to go. I have my own opinions on that, and only time (and the scores) will tell if any of us are right.
My point about Tristan and his fan base was that when the show started, the audience had little clue who these pro dancers were, and yet, the ones we see on the show each year have made that connection with the audience. I certainly hope Tristan will do the same. In some ways, he already has. Again, time will tell if he’s a hit or not and if he’ll be asked back for future seasons. Until then, I’m just going to enjoy him being on there now and help build his fan base as much as I can.
Oh, Magnolia, I was just trying to warn people not to get their hopes up, is all. I’m a firm believer – and this is how I approach Derek’s runs on the show – in hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Always been that way.
I’m also a big believer in managing expectations – which is probably why I’m a big Derek fan, because he’s actually very good at that. Part of it is him being humble (which he is) but part of it is also controlling expectations.
If we are right about Derek and/or Maks, I think Tristan has a very good shot at successfully filling one of those slots – and when you get right down to it, one of them leaving will help Tristan in a huge number of ways. I think Derek and Maks….and Mark…..tend to naturally grab a lot of spotlight. That’s why they’re successful. They’ve got that certain something. When one of them leaves, there will be a big hole. Someone’s gotta fill it.
Doubt that a new stage has anything to do with whether the pros open the (results) show or not. Can’t think why it would. That will be a producer thing.
Yeah, Mark does grab the spotlight, doesn’t he…not always in a good way.
My only hesitation with Tristan (and this is coming from more than just what I’ve seen or heard on the show) is that he seems a bit uncertain about all the hype and publicity and unsure of how to handle it. I don’t think he expected so much attention so quickly. For him (like the others before they started on the show), I believe that it’s been so much about dance thus far in his career and not as much about his personal “celebrity.” Having said that, I have no doubt that he will come to accept and appreciate the attention, especially if he does well on the show. As he’s said, it’s all new to him, and hopefully, with the right guidance, he will be in a position to fill one of those empty spots when the time comes. He’s definitely come across as humble so far, but then again, behind closed doors, he could be a massive p—k! Who knows? I just know that, for all the hard work he’s put into his career so far, I would personally love to see him succeed in this.
As to Derek, I understand why so many people love him, and I count myself as one of that group. I’ve only seen him get frustrated once or twice, and he seems very humbled by all he’s accomplished. He always gets the best out of his partners, and he’s enchanting to watch. I hope he hangs around for another season or two, but if bigger and better things are offered to him, I wish him well!
Sure an’ our Tristan has kissed the Blarney Stone
What a cheeky, quick-witted charmer he is! I’m thoroughly smitten.
He’s charmed the heck out of Nancy in 2 weeks. I think he’ll do the same with the DWTS audience. As Heidi said, Derek and Maks have “that certain something”. I think Tristan has “it” too.
Vogue, you are so right – the second video is hilarious! Gosh, he’s a cutie
Agree with everyone, Tristan is loaded with “it.” I can also say I’m a little surprised to be finding Nancy Grace funny!
Hopefully Tristan will use the time he has with Nancy on the show to convince viewers (and producers) that he deserves to be on DWTS next year. I love his accent. He’s a hottie who actually sounds good when he talks.
