DWTS13 Nancy Grace And Tristan MacManus Dish On Passion And Dancing (Videos)

Nancy and Tristan appeared on Dr. Drew’s show last night. They start out talking of Nancy’s passion for the law and how she become a prosecuting attorney. Tristan then joins them and says Nancy is doing “supah” at her dancing and putting the same passion into it as she does the law. She’s a perfectionist the same as Tristan. They have the Waltz next week.

Special thanks to Magnolia and her Tristan MacManus Fans facebook page for finding the clip above.

Nancy also visited Mario Lopez at The Grove yesterday to help him promote his new “H8R” show. They talk of the hatred out there for Kim Kardashian and her booty.

Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Las Vegas Odds After The Second Dance

Once again, the Las Vegas Odds change after another week of dancing. Ricki is making a move to the top of the list finally and where she should be. J.R. and Hope have switched places. It’s a more correct shake up compared to last week’s odds. But, the odds makers still aren’t putting much faith in Nancy, her dancing ability, or her fan base which I think is a big mistake? I think they have Carson too low as well. What do you think?

J.R. Martinez 2/1

Hope Solo 3/1

Ricki Lake 5/1

Chynna Phillips 11/2

Kristin Cavallari 15/2

David Arquette 10/1

Carson Kressley 15/1

Robert Kardashian 15/1

Chaz Bono 50/1

Nancy Grace 50/1

Heidi’s Note: Well, no, I don’t think Nancy or Carson are too low. Remember, these are the odds to WIN the show. Actually win – it’s not really a ranking although it could certainly be viewed that way. And we have been viewing it that way. πŸ™‚ I still don’t see why they have Hope ranked so high – I would switch her and Chynna, personally. I would also love to see what would happen if Ricki and Derek made it to the final. He’s never made it to the final and NOT won. But we have a long way to go before we start talking about that. Carson and/or Nancy could still play spoiler, a la Ty Murray or Kelly Osborne.

An Anthrax Scare At The Dancing With The Stars Studios

You really have to wonder about some people!! πŸ™ Thank goodness authorities determined the powder sent to the Dancing With The Stars studios yesterday was “harmless”. From the L.A. Times….

Authorities responded Wednesday to the CBS Television Studios in the Fairfax district after a white powdery substance was found in a letter addressed to “Dancing with the Stars,” one of the shows filmed there.

The call came out about 3:30 p.m. at the CBS studios in the 7800 block of Beverly Boulevard. The substance was determined be harmless after being examined by the Los Angeles Police Department’s hazardous materials personnel.

It is the second time in as many months that a letter containing an unknown powder was sent to the studios.

Dancing With The Stars Season 13 “Design A Dance” (Which Dancers Are You Voting For?)

For several Seasons now, Dancing With The Stars, has been holding a “Design a Dance” Contest. This is where fans can “craft” a dance routine for the show. ABC is asking everyone to vote on their favorite male and female professional dancers, as well as the type of dance (the “Paso Doble” has been chosen), the song, and the costume. If interested, fans can also submit a drawing of their “costumes”. For information on how you can participate and VOTE, go to the official site of Dancing With The Stars >>>>HERE. You can vote for your favorite dancers as many times as you wish. Voting ends for your favorite female and male professional dancers on Friday, Oct. 28th at 5PM PT. Do it now and make it a daily ritual if you want to see your favorite dancers picked. Promote it at Facebook and Twitter to remind everyone.

So, which male and female pros are you voting for? VOTE in our Polls below as well so we can get a feel for who might win the Design a Dance Contest. Thanks to PureDWTS reader Eavan for the Poll idea.

I’m voting for Peta for the female Pro. For male pro, I’ll be throwing votes to both Tristan and Val…and maybe some to Derek and Maks as well. In the PureDWTS Polls, I’m going to vote for Peta and Tristan.

Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Week 1 TV Ratings For Sept. 19-25th

Zap2It has released Nielsen’s official TV ratings for Sept. 19-25th. The season premiere of Dancing With The Stars Season 13 placed 5th which is down in ratings slightly. Same with the results show which placed 9th. Even more shocking though is how the X Factor placed in the bottom of the top 20. With all the new shows premiering and NFL football always pulling in big numbers, both shows had a lot to compete with. Even still, I thought X Factor would place in the Top 5 and be neck in neck with Dancing With The Stars. 😯 More below…

1 TWO AND A HALF MEN CBS Mon 9:00 PM 28,743,000
2 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – STEELERS/COLTS NBC Sun 8:31 PM 20,357,000
2 NCIS CBS Tue 8:00 PM 19,958,000
4 2 BROKE GIRLS CBS Mon 9:31 PM 19,368,000
5 DANCING WITH THE STARS ABC Mon 8:00 PM 19,033,000
6 NCIS: LOS ANGELES CBS Tue 9:00 PM 16,712,000
7 SUNDAY NIGHT NFL PRE-KICK NBC Sun 8:22 PM 15,975,000
8 THE BIG BANG THEORY CBS Thu 8:30 PM 14,939,000
9 DANCING W/STARS RESULTS ABC Tue 9:00 PM 14,787,000
10 MODERN FAMILY ABC Wed 9:00 PM 14,542,000
11 MODERN FAMILY ABC Wed 9:30 PM 14,524,000
12 THE BIG BANG THEORY CBS Thu 8:00 PM 14,298,000
13 CRIMINAL MINDS CBS Wed 9:00 PM 14,137,000
14 UNFORGETTABLE CBS Tue 10:00 PM 14,085,000
15 THE MENTALIST CBS Thu 10:00 PM 13,556,000
16 PERSON OF INTEREST CBS Thu 9:00 PM 13,333,000
17 CASTLE ABC Mon 10:01 PM 13,278,000
18 CSI CBS Wed 10:00 PM 12,737,000
19 X FACTOR-THURSDAY FOX Thu 8:00 PM 12,515,000
20 X FACTOR-WEDNESDAY FOX Wed 8:00 PM 12,494,000

Heidi’s Note: And the ratings are down 8% THIS week from last week. Well, it’s to be expected. DWTS is in Season 13 now and that is extraordinary for any TV show. The temptation will be to blame Chaz and/or Carson or a less than stellar cast, but let’s face it – season 13 and we’re still in the top 10?? That’s pretty awesome. It may be the new normal or maybe the show is going to reverse to having the higher rated season during the spring when Football is no longer an option. Who knows, maybe it is the producer tinkering and a less than exciting cast – but I’m going to go with the Season 13 theory. πŸ™‚ About XF – Wow. Major disappointment for that group, unless it manages to rebound. I had a feeling that The Voice and the new Judges on AI would spell trouble for them. Simon’s way is the old way, I’m afraid.

Dancing With The Stars 13 Week 2 Interview Videos After The Result Show

On The Red Carpet has some great new interviews up with the couples after the Results show last night (with an exception to Maks and Hope). George Pennacchio gets to the heart of the matter again with them. Not only do we get their reactions to how the results show turned out, they give George and us an idea of next week’s dance and what their stories might be like.

First up, Ricki breathed a sigh of relief. Ricki and Derek take us through how they prepare mentally for a dance. Derek is inspired during this interview for the choreography next week. Ricki talks of a life experience which will be told in it which includes Derek.

Tony is super sad to see Val go. Chynna talks of what a powerful dancer he is. They talk of next week’s Rumba and she is hoping to bring a lot of “intense connection” and “romance”. Her husband gave his approval to “go for it” with Tony.

J.R. and Karina talk of their rituals before and after their dances. They say a prayer and she calls her parents afterwards. They say next week’s dance will be very emotional. It will have something to do with the Military and what happened to J.R. in Iraq. It’s not only about himself, but, others. The song will be beautiful.

DWTS Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy Week 2 Elimination Interview Videos

And so we say Good-bye to Val and Elisabetta. When you are a “Chmerkovskiy” fan like myself, this is not easy. πŸ™ 😯 But, I have a feeling this isn’t the last we’ll see of Val!! I hope the producers are listening when many of us say, “PLEASE BRING VAL BACK NEXT SEASON!” With that said, here is Val and Elisabetta interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel, Access Hollywood, and On The Red Carpet. Val, talks of what a beautiful experience he had with Elisabetta (he’s such a “gentleman”) and how he will miss her. Elisabetta said it was a true gift to be on Dancing With The Stars and much more. Stay tuned for their Good Morning America interview to be added to this post shortly.

DWTS Season 13, Week 2 – The Results (SPOILERS)!!!

Insert white space here so that the auto tweet doesn’t spoil anyone…

I told you if I picked Chaz it would be Elisabetta to go home. πŸ™‚ Luckily, I did say it would be one of the two. Even more interesting is that they revealed an actual bottom 2, presumably in a quest to rally David’s voters. Good on Chaz!! To quote myself:

What has to happen for Elisabetta to go home? ALL of the following:

– Chaz has to get 17,950 more votes per million votes cast than her, AND;
– Carson has to get 13,460 more votes per million votes cast than her, AND;
– David has to get 13,460 more votes per million votes cast than her, AND;
– All of her cohorts (Rob, Nancy and Chynna) all need ONE more vote than her per million votes cast, AND;
– Hope has to get 8,970 more votes per million votes cast than Elisabetta.

I think it’s safe to say that no one was voting for Elisabetta. I would also say that Maks’ fans got spooked by their low score and abandoned Val. Sorry kids, it’s for the best if you’re a Maks fan.

Courtney called David going home so she was actually closer than me since he was in the bottom 2. I would have to look but I think this is the first time they’ve revealed a bottom 2 since season 8!!

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Dancing With The Stars Week 2 Official ABC Unaired Confessionals (Video)

DWTS Season 13, Week 2 – Dancing by the Numbers

Another wack ass night of DWTS. I mean, seriously?? A two-way tie for second place and a four-way tie for third place? In what freakin’ universe is JR tied with Kristin? He should be alone at the top of the leaderboard, as much as I love Derek and Ricki. That said, it makes virtually no difference, since the top 7 couples are within two points of each other. Madness. And considering who’s in the bottom we could get a surprise. Hope (heh) there was no Chmerkovskiy vote splitting – even though I didn’t think Hope’s dance was very good, it’s too soon for her to go.

After thinking about it for a bit, I think that Len was probably right about Ricki and JR, both – Derek said out loud that he went more West Coast Swing and that flip that Karina put in their dance was definitely Lindy-ish, which knocks a point off both dances (and yes, she HAS called a lift at the end or beginning on some (Derek) but not on others (Mark)). But both pros did what they had to do to make an impact with the audience and get their partner through the dance – good for them. Add in Carrie Ann and her random lift policing deducting another point and you have JR a point down from Ricki. That said, on twitter I proclaimed JR’s dance worthy of a 27, so to say I was shocked by the scores is an understatement. At the risk of contradicting myself yet again, I do appreciate that the judges are FINALLY keeping the scoring reasonable – JR’s score is the only one I was shocked by last night, when all was said and done.

Also, according to a British friend of mine, “Me old sausage” is indeed a term of endearment, so we can’t crack on Brooke too much. πŸ˜€ Read more..
