Heidi’s new “Dancing By The Numbers” Post will be coming up shortly too. Stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some interviews from last night with our favorite Dancing With The Stars interviewer, George Pennacchio.

First up, and as some of you already know, Nancy had a wardrobe malfunction which the cameras had to quickly cover. See Nancy and Tristan talking of it below as well as their feelings on last week’s dance and the judges critiques this week. They are so happy they scored an “8″ last night.

Lacey and Chaz talk of trying to defeat the odds and how they will do that if they get to continue which Chaz really wants….

Rob is smiling and can’t stop! Cheryl thought the judges words were encouraging which helps Rob’s confidence. They want to keep taking one dance at a time and take it slow to the top.

DWTS13 Week 2 Power Rankings

And tonight, ladies & gentlemen, is a prime example of why week 2 is TOO DAMN EARLY TO DO THE JIVE! Ranting post to follow later this week ;-)

Tonight was a disappointment, overall.  Disappointing performances, disappointing judging, disappointing scoring – just…meh.  Seem like the quicksteps fared SLIGHTLY better than the jives with the judges, but not by much.  This cast is “surprising”, no doubt – suprisingly mediocre thus far, minus a few standouts. And you already know it’s gonna be an off-night when the judge that annoys me the LEAST is Bruno 8O

1.) JR & Karina – It’s nights like tonight that make me wanna kick Carrie Ann in the mouth…and kick Len in that old sausage he was going on about earlier in the night.  Could those two have looked like bigger assholes after this jive??? The whole crowd, plus Bruno, is on their feet & cheering – and these two look like someone just commented on their mother’s bedroom prowess.  Lighten the f*ck up, ya killjoys.  This was the only jive of the night that delivered on both execution & entertainment for me – JR was the only celeb of the night that really kicked and bounced correctly, and managed to look like he was having the time of his life while doing it…and Karina did, too!  Carrie Ann’s hung up on the “lift”? Good grief, I’ll swallow a lift or two if it means I actually get to see a decent jive! Len’s pissed that there was “too much Lindy”? Who the hell cares, since there was also some legit, well-executed jive in there, too? Honestly, with some of the truly unremarkable dancing I saw tonight – I’m more than a little pissed that these two got so hung-up on stupid stuff. But thankfully, 22 is still pretty damn good (given that their still tied for 2nd highest score, and the points spread drops down to 17), and JR was given the pimp spot for a reason ;-) As long as these damn judges can resist the urge to storyboard, I can still see him easily taking the MBT this season. :-D

2.) Ricki & Derek – High score of the night, and a fun jive.  But the best? Errr…maybe not.  It seemed awfully slow to me, and Ricki still seems to be working on getting comfortable out on the floor.  I was also a little thrown by how sexual it was – I’m no prude, but I’m also not used to jives being so…saucy. ;-) Content-wise, it may have been a litttle fluffy, but I’m completely disregarding content right now because tonight, content did not necessarily equate greatness.  But I will give Ricki props for being bubbly and excited, which is more than I can say for some of the other couples tonight.  Not a ton to say here – other than if they keep working hard and improving week after week (and the other couples continue to only do marginally well), they’ll likely make it to the final as well. Carson Kressley On The Dancing With The Stars Gay Agenda Controversy, The Quickstep, and More!

On the complaints surrounding a Dancing With The Stars gay agenda this season, Carson told Mario Lopez of Extra that people need to lighten up. Read more of what he told Mario below. He cracks me up!

“Anybody who was having issues with it, I was like, ‘People, it’s a show about ballroom dancing,’” said Kressley. “I mean, lighten up. And then they were like, ‘Does the show have a gay agenda?’ And I said, ‘It was pretty gay before I got there, ya know?’”

Kressley joked he isn’t in it necessarily to win, but to lose weight. “I’m trying to get down to my birth weight — nine pounds seven ounces — before the end of the show.”

As for his costumes, Anna is trying to keep Carson in check. “I wanted to do shorts and she wouldn’t let me. I would have shaved them, put some body bling on,” said the “Queer Eye” star. Trebunskaya responded, “I thought maybe too early for shorts.”

Also, be sure to check out how Carson lights up the rehearsal studio parking light when he gets there with his “karma” in the video below. Totally priceless as always!!

There is also a new fun interview with Carson at the Huffington Post where he talks on Maks, his costumes, and his quickstep tonight. Below is a little excerpt.

HuffPost: Hands off, Maks Chmerkovskiy is mine!
Carson Kressley: There’s plenty to go around!

HuffPost: Does he mind you shamelessly flirting with him?
Kressley: I was a little worried, because before the big announcement of the partners I was a little naughty and I sent out a tweet saying that I didn’t know who my partner was but I was pretty sure it was going to be Maks. He obviously got the tweet and the first day he was trying to give me a little bit of shade so I just ran with it. I said, ‘Stop flirting with me, this is getting awkward.’ Put the onus on him, but he’s been a real sport … He’s really lovely and hot.

HuffPost: You were fabulous on the first show with your pro partner, Anna Trebunskaya. You’re not the best dancer, but it was clear that you had so much fun. Not to sound cheesy, but I think that’s a life lesson.
Kressley: Yes, you’ve got to be who you are. I’m so ‘me’ I can’t even fight it. I think, ultimately, it’s a ballroom dancing competition and you’ve got to do the footwork, which makes me very, very nervous. Quick step is so challenging. I wake up in a sweat over it but you have to bring the fun and the great attitude.

Rob Kardashian’s Jive To Showcase His Personality Tonight On Dancing WithThe Stars

Cheryl defends Rob’s dance and placing last week in her new blog at People.com. She writes how Rob was happy with his dance and that he felt he deserved a slightly higher score. She also explains why Rob said, “Whatever, I don’t care” to the judges (that comment was uncalled for no matter what she says to explain it in my opinion). They are excited about the Jive tonight and she says it really brings out his personality.

He expected to be a lot more nervous than he actually was when we danced. He didn’t do anything wrong during our performance. He didn’t mess up. I think he’s just really happy he got through it.

Even though Rob’s family has such a high profile and are so well known, I was nervous it was going to be us going home – especially being in the bottom like that – because our scores were low.

Rob didn’t talk about the judges’ scores too much, but he felt like he deserved a slightly higher score. After we danced, his initial reaction was, “Whatever, I don’t care,” because he has come such a long way.

In the end, I was shocked to see Ron Artest leave. The majority of partners I’ve had have been athletes – and we’ve never been eliminated first.

Having low scores really got Rob into the next dance, which is the jive. We’re really excited about that because it really brings out his personality more. And it’s a lot more fun!

In a new article at US Magazine, Rob talks of spray tanning, costuming, and is hoping to feel the music more in his dancing.

One thing Kardashian will put his foot down with? He won’t be doffing his top just yet!

“I don’t feel comfortable enough to be shirtless or anything like that,” says Kardashian, who hopes to slim his 200 lb. frame during his stint on the show. “Obviously I’m a little insecure about certain things right now…I’m just not used to dancer clothes.”

Kardashian has certainly amped up his cardio routine rehearsing the jive, which he’ll perform with Burke on Monday’s show.

“My feet hurt a lot!” he laments. “You’re on your toes the entire dance, so you’re just moving around really fast. [Rehearsals] started off harder [than they are now], but once you just keep practicing you learn the speed and then you think it’s slow and that you’re dancing it slow because you’re so used to it. But it’s good though, I’m doing fine.”

Kardashian is confident his five hour per day rehearsals will pay off, and says he’s worked hard to develop his stage persona.

“[This week, I'll] just try to be more animated and feel the music more,” he tells Us. “I felt that the musicality was lacking a little bit in the first [dance], but I still try to have fun with it.”
