DWTS Season 13, Week 4 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?
You know how last week was the week of a thousand rumbas?? Well, this is the week of dozens of Paso Dobles. 
Future changes will be in red as always and DO NOT ask me if we know other stuff. We will share it when we know it. First person to ask goes to the proverbial woodshed. The woodshed of ridicule. Wait, is it my imagination, or have they given the lower tier dancers all the Paso Doble with the possible exception of Hope?? And why do I think Hope would be better off with the Paso?
Keeping in mind that we have TWO pro dances tonight, the running orders effectiveness (or curse) is possibly all screwed up. I do believe that one pro dance is opening the show, if I remember Louis’ tweets correctly. If I were to guess I would say the other one is a the top of the hour – but I don’t know that for sure.

Theme to Psycho! This is a little to early for Halloween! Wow! Scary!
I think the paso is going to be OK for Rob (I think he will do ok but not great) and the kiss of death for Chazz (i just don’t see him doing well at it unfortunately BUT Cher will be in the audience and her fans will kepp him around me thinks so Chazz better hope I’m right). I think we will see a ten this week for either Tony & Chyna or Ricki and Derek.
Lastly, J.R. and Hope have random foxtrots? I don’t see Hope doing well at it and the judges always underscore J.R. (his rumba deserved 27 not what they gave him and his jive was way underscored) so idk what to think of the judges scoring when it comes to him anymore. Hopefully, he gets a break this week and not get underscored.
Most importantly, the music is a genius idea. The psycho theme is great.

JR seems like frontrunner thus underscored. Chynna and Ricki are the best remaining dancers IMO. Funny how those two are getting the same dance assignments. Psycho seems early for Halloween, lol. If anyone can choreo a tango to this is Derek.
@Margaret: I always though that Derek is the ebst choreographer for tangos on the show. I always think of Derek and Nicole’s tango when they mention tangos on the show. As for the two foxtrots, I guess thats a good idea they can lighten the mood from the tangos and pasos. the same can be said for carson’s waltz (persoanlly I have high hopes for that one….seeing him get an two eights last was great to see since it made len look like a idiot after calling carson one of the worst dancers on the show lol).
If anyone can pull off a genius routine to the Psycho Theme is Derek. I trust Ricki will play the role to it’s full…I think it’s going to be hard…but if they stay focus and bring the energy and the atmosphere to the dance floor…they will be better than fine! I think Hope will have a problems with the Fox Trot…but than again we are talking about Toy Story…so..the song may help her. JR will be great- he has it all for the Fox Trot, Chynna will step it up with the Tango or Tony will…so she will be fine…David will have a rough time with the Paso…because he is all over the place..and the Paso is soo controlled ..i don’t think he will pull it off. same for Nancy…i don’t think she can bring the demanded controlled fluidity for the Paso. Carson has ana advantage with the V. Waltz…But…i think it is going to be a hectic chaotic night

I agree Paso is very dramatic and you must have controlled movements! I can’t see David, Chaz, Nancy really pulling it off. The foxtrot is difficult. I remember derek saying the foxtrot is difficult because you have to make the movements look smooth! I think its in the your frame!
He and ricki should do great with the tango. The Psycho theme is very dramatic and strong, I can see them pulling it off. Derek is the best at the Tango.

Yes, no question Derek will pull it off but that is one fast tune! The rehearsal picture Vogue posted may give us a hint of what is to come. {{shivers}} Hope he hasn’t given himself nightmares working on the choreography!
Assuming “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is the Toy Story theme song they use .. a nice foxtrot number. Should be cute.
I hope, continuing with the Pixar theme, that Carson and Anna waltz to the “Up” theme song. Seems to be a perfect fit for them!

Oh, good call, Melissa. They have used Star Wars before for a tango, but they could use it for a paso as well. Or they could use the Darth Vader theme from Star Wars. I’m re-thinking the bond theme idea, because it fits a tango so much better.

I know everyone’s gonna hate me for saying this, and there’s zero chance of this happening because the only two dances left are paso dobles, but I kinda wanna see someone dance to High School Musical. I would become unconsious for weeks then wake up and die laughing if I saw Rob or Nancy dance to HSM. I don’t know if I should be scared or excited about Carson and Annas costumes. I’m super excited to see Hope and Maks as Woody and Jessie although I’d rather see a pro dance or a Macys Stars of Dance routine so we can get the whole toybox in there. Personaly, I wouldve picked one of the cute little aliens, but everyone knows Woody and Jessie. JR is gonna get a 10 this week(or the judges will underscore him and give him 8′s and 9′s again) I can feel it. It’s gonna be a fun night

@Carlos The pro dance in season 3 was to Eye of the Tiger from Rocky 3. The actual theme to Rocky is instrumental. I guess it’ll depend on which Rocky movie they use.

Correction — the theme from Rocky is “mostly” instrumental. It’s called Gonna Fly Now.

There was a pro paso to the actual Rocky theme in Season 2 (choreographed by Louis I think). One of my favorites actually.

Movie theme night is shaping up to be a lot of fun. Hope someone slips some happy pills into Len’s tea so he doesn’t grump out and bring everyone down with a slew of sour comments.

Shep: Carson and Anna will be dancing a V. Waltz – not a Paso. It’s a very fast tune, so I’m a little worried for Carson tonight on the technical side. The performance will surely be there as always.

I love the Who’s Dancing What and When? Actually I love everything on this site. A BIG Thank You to all involved for all of your hard work just to keep us informed. I don’t know how I ever watched the show without it before…
I agree Heidi that Ricki also has to deliver. I think she can act it out. I do not think it is scary. If they can pull it off, it will be memorable and might get votes. I just hope they slow it down a bit.
I am also curious about the other tango. Mission impossible! Sure Chynna will do well. I wonder if she can bring the drama. I like her but she seems a bit frail to me when she dances.
I don’t know if Movie Theme night is going to have great dancing, but the Cheesecake should be FANTASTIC!!!
Carson as Jack Sparrow? Brilliant! A tango to Psycho? That’s going to be interesting, but they gave that music to their BEST (IMO) choreographer. BTW, I saw some paparazzi video in the DWTS rehearsal parking lot with some guy cracking a bullwhip. David was looking on. If I was Kym, I think I might seriously consider hiding while David is futzing around with a bullwhip!

@Bruce – I think the last time they did a double elim was season 9, because they had to – there were too many couples that season to do a single elim each week. I don’t remember it being very popular with fans…then again, there was a lot that season that wasn’t very popular with fans. Thankfully, they haven’t done another double elim since then.
@Cori_Iowa – In a video Vogue posted last week, Karina said that JR is wearing a unitard for their routine. Now that we know they’re doing Pink Panther…I guess we know who’s playing the panther
I’m honestly most excited for Chynna & Tony’s tango – I’m hoping he makes it slick & exciting, kinda like this tango showdance Erminio Stefano & Luana Conte did on America’s Ballroom Challenge a few years back. I’ve heard that Nancy’s paso song is “unusual”, so maybe she did get Flash Gordon…who knows. I think Carson might surprise people tonight – apparently Anna has given him some really good choreo that is a good combo of technique & entertainment. Bring it on!

I doubt it will be Tristan & Nancy doing the Flash Gordan theme since he would have to play the superhero where it would fit Rob better since he is the “celeb”

I’m starting to get annoyed. All the focus on and handing out of beneficial dance spots to the lesser (but ratings grabbing) stars like Chaz and Rob, and lucky Nancy being on TV all the time (although her stance on Amanda Knox could hurt her badly), means we could lose Chynna, Ricki or JR much earlier than they should be eliminated. Hell, even Nancy deserves to stay longer than Carson and Chaz. I know that’s how the show works, but they seem to be stacking it in their favor. If that was just how the voting went, fine – but they are starting to pimp them now to the detriment of better dancers. Even JR isn’t getting the love he should be other than good dance order. Where the hell is Chynna? Ricki at least benefits from having Derek.
Excited for tonight! The songs may not all fit the dance, but what fun choices! And though I don’t think Hope is the best dancer, I’m more optimistic than most that this will actually be a good dance for her.

I’ve been wondering about Hope & Maks. Not much from twitter fans, not much hype. Makes me nervous.
What is with the producers of this show?? Ratings, yeah, but practically handicapping all the better dancers. It is bad enough all the crazy attention for everything other than dancing specially this and Bristol-season. Pretty soon if the focus keeps slipping they might want to re-name the show something other than “Dancing” WTS. If it weren’t for Derek I would forget about watching or voting this season. It seems like the worse dancer they are , the more publicity, attention and hype they get…..
I agree that Nancy is in a good spot I mean she has her own TV show every night that probably several million watch & she can push the votes & get the funny face time with Tristan!
Also she has all the CNN people plugging her to on CNN nightly, even Anderson said at some point in an interview I saw that he was voting for her & he said she is out collegue so we have too.
Plus Ireland can vote for Tristan too through an email address I believe, it is what I heard a couple weeks ago, oversea’s can vote too from a special email account.
That doesn’t mean she deserves to win the show. She’s not all that as a dancer, but she definitely has an advantage that others don’t have. That said – she probably has more haters than anyone other than Chaz. So, it probably evens out.
So JR gets the pimp spot again, he already had it once before with the Jive so I am shocked he has it again & Chaz really needs to go early soon, he has been bottom half for the entire show since it started.
Hope Solo fans have our own fandom spots. For most of us this is our first time watching DWTS so we aren’t going to be hanging out where the show specific fans are. We gather where we already feel comfortable like twitter and tumblr due to our ages and the fact the soccer community has roots in other spots already.
I’ve been lurking here for curiosity sake but I don’t really feel comfortable jumping into the conversation much since so few people ever say anything nice about them here and I really don’t want to start bickering about a tv show of all things. I just want Hope have a good experience and like her I am trying to get used to how subjective this competition is. I’ve been told to embrace the glitter and just stop trying to make sense of any of it. Ha!
I am looking forward to their foxtrot. Toy Story is her nephew’s favorite movie and he is going to be there watching tonight so she said she’s dancing this one for him. Should be fun and that’s the point, right?

WTF is up with Len tonight? His comments to Hope… what was that all about? Does he have some inside info about them not rehearsing? Hope was pissed, you could tell.
Interesting that just before Nancy and Tristan’s dance, Tom B. gave away that it was Nancy/Tristan who were the 2nd lowest scoring couple last week (i.e., not Hope/Maks). So, as we guessed, putting Maks and Hope in jeopardy against Kristen/Mark at the end of the show was all a ratings ploy. While the show certainly has the right to do this, I think it’s unfair to the couple who inaccurately gets put in jeopardy. They must feel pretty bad to be in jeopardy at the very end, and it can also give the viewers/voters a false impression that this couple isn’t good and/or the voters aren’t on their side, and that can hurt them in the following week. And just because Tom gives the little disclaimer (that few people actually hear or understand) that one of the couples isn’t necessarily one that received the lowest judges scores and viewer votes doesn’t necessarily combat that stigma. I think DWTS’s doing that is deceptive.
I hate to say it but Rob and Cheryls Paso was my favorite dance so far…. And Len is Mister Cranky Pants again…
WTF judges. Hope has been training since she was 5. It is her job to train. She knows how it is done and is a perfectionist. Maks said he doesn’t cut any of her training short no matter where they are. He is happy with their training time. She literally does stay up into the wee hours of the morning to train. That is the most insulting thing you could say to Hope. If they are trying to piss her (and me) off they’ve done it.
I really don’t get this show. When you get stars on your show they are going to come with schedules. If they can clear their schedule too much they are likely not stars. That doesn’t mean she isn’t putting in equal hours. Hope’s body can take a lot of training. I can understand pointing out things they need to fix, but saying something that isn’t true (and something that is the most insulting thing you can say to someone like Hope) is just to get a reaction out of her or for ratings. Why don’t they grill others this much? Hope is tough but she is still human. She was clearly hurt. I’d love not to spend another Monday night rage voting.
I don’t think that’s what Tom meant, Sandra. I think he meant that they had the second lowest score from the judges last Monday night. That’s why they showed the leader board.
sasa, I think Len doesn’t like it when the celeb travels during the show. Hope was in New York and Chicago and that has to cut into rehearsal time. Len seems to automatically view that as a lack of committment – he wants the celeb to put everything aside and focus on the dance. And he does have a point. Though it also must be said that usually the celeb has agreed to do the other thing before they signed on to do DWTS and it doesn’t look good for the celeb to cancel prior committments – that would probably just tick off a whole other set of people. But I think I read Hope doesn’t have any other outside stuff until November, so if she and Maks last that long they’ll have a chance to focus fully. And the fact that Len keeps saying Hope has the chance to go to the finals (he’s said that at least twice that I can remember) may mean that Len gets to see the viewer voting numbers after the fact and may be seeing that Hope amd Maks are getting a lot of viewer votes (or it could just mean that Len believes Hope and Maks have a good fan base).
Ricki was overscored…Ugh. Judging gets on my nerves.
I noticed the judges kind of turned on Carson a little bit tonight for his lack of technique. Before, they praised his entertainment value and didn’t make a big deal about his lack of technique, but I think they’re starting to up to ante. And not just on Carson, but all the couples (e.g., Nancy and Tristan).
That deserved to be a 30 no a 60. There is something soo special about Derek. I need to talk to him about our undying love for him. I just can’t get enough. I just can’t handle it anymore. I think moving to LA just for him just a glispe would make my flutter then I could die happy.
Even if Mr Hough isn’t my favorite pro, he’s doing a tremendous job with Ricki. Really hiding her glaring weaknesses, because she ain’t a great dancer, but boy he’s making her look good. Take note Mark!
J.R. deserved straight 10s!!! I so mad! O_O Ricki and Derek BUTT KISSING. Nothing against them but it’s just obvious who they are being partial two and picking on, atleast Carrie Ann. Idiot.
I’m all for “fix x, Hope” or “it would have been better if you did x with your feet instead, Hope” kind of comments (actually, Carson could probably used those too), those can be helpful especially to someone who who benefits from factual things like that, but what good does humiliating an athlete do besides shooting for the off chance Hope can’t hide her reaction. She already had to weather being on a fake bottom two last week after rebounding from that bad score for her jive the week before. They must think she can take it, but Maks is going to have to talk her off a cliff after that accusation. Or more likely she’ll have to talk Maks off the cliff. He seemed pretty mad too.
Derek is a genius! What a tango! Gimme a break! They were the best! The choreography was very difficult but brilliant!
Cranscape, I like to think that maybe, just maybe, Len has a method to his madness. He’s always been very vocal about keeping the good dancers, so possibly, he’s trying to make sure that Hope’s fans DO get good and mad and vote their hineys off to keep her around longer than the weaker dancers. Maybe.
Ricki is not one of my favorites (well, neither is J.R. but I do like him more then her) but the Tango was gorgeous. Derek at his best.

Sorry but Carrie Ann is such a BS’er omg the fake crying for Chaz, & saying she started crying watching him, yeah CA I was watching & crying too & how flippin god awful he was, tears of pain not joy, she needs to STHU & Len & her should be replaced, they suck.
And I usually roll my eyes when CA gets emotional but I got the bug this time as well after Chazes performance.
Other highlights for me were David’s improvement, Hope’s lightheartedness and Carson’s rehearsal package. If only he didn’t mess up the dance.
Evaine, I hope you’re right about Len otherwise that was just a mean thing to say.
Apparently Derek can make anyone look good doing the tango. How does he do that? Ricki’s an ok dancer, unlike Jennifer and Nicole, but he’s making her look so good. The other pros don’t seem to have that particular skill.
Cranscape, I’m so glad you pointed this out. It’s one of my pet peeves where Len is concerned. He’s the only real ballroom judge on the panel. He should be the one giving the calm pointers. Yet often he’s the one who just says, “it wasn’t my cup of tea”, or “i didn’t like it”. If you get past all of Bruno’s over the top gyrations and schtick, he’s the one who most often actually gives pointers. CarrieAnn is absolutely useless.
Maks has been through all this before, over and over, in fact (all the longtime pros have). I’m sure he was PO’d right after, but he’ll work them through this.
What was Carrie Ann going on about with JR and Karina? Her critique was nonsense. I’m glad Len and Bruno called her on her crap. It’s almost as if she’s chosen her favorites as Ricki and Derek and wants to diminish JR. I’m not sure that’s going to work so long as Karina keeps pushing JR and JR keeps pushing himself to improve.
I hope you guys do a series of screen shots of Tristan’s absurd tongue action (with some excellent headlines!). It’s unbelievable to be on TV and do that. I loved him, but I have to say, at this point, the tongue thing is so disturbing to me (it’s pointy and Gene Simmons-ish) that it’s causing my love to wane.
Please, Zach, ricki and Derek had the dance of the night to the hardest music. No butt kissing required. That was very clear by the time the show was over. JR was good, and was underscored again by a point or two, but that has nothing to do with Ricki – unless you’re a child who blames one dancer for another dancers scores. There is no way in HELL that was a 30 dance from JR. Not even close. It was bordering on boring, from where I sat.
As for Hope – she chose to do the show while having other commitments. I cut no slack for that. Her choice. That said, I think Len was out of line. But I also don’t think she’s finals material when stacked against Chynna, JR and Ricki. She might get there, though, because I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the shocking eliminations.
As for putting her in faux jeopardy last week (even though that’s NOT what Tom said) that usually helps the couple that’s in jeopardy but stays. It motivates their fan base to vote more. I doubt VERY much that Tom knows the actual bottom two unless the producers specifically ask him to reveal it. I doubt he cares overly much, actually.

I disagree that celebrities should commit 100% of their time to dwts. If you work then you will probably have some obligations. Hope is not the first to have other stuff on the schedule. Some have had it a lot worse in fact.
I think the only possible explanation that doesn’t portrait Len in a negative light is Evaine’s. I truly don’t know what goes through his mind. shrug
It turned out to be kind of a tough night. I think a lot of the celebs put too much pressure on themselves. Poor Chynna completely freaked. That’s the bad dance we agreed she couldn’t afford to have.
I loved Ricki and Derek’s Tango and JR and Karina’s Foxtrot. They should have been scored equally in my mind. Very different dances, but both done extremely well.
Chaz needs to go, but how likely is that the week Cher shows up?
I definately sense the judges turning on folks! I can see that JR might be the new Ralph Macchio for Carrie Ann this season. I really think JR should have been at the top of the leader board by now. He has put out some really good solid dances.
If Hope had danced bad I would understand Len’s comments but that was by far her BEST dance. She looked smooth and really sold it. All the crankiness was not necessary since she did really well.
Rob paso was good dance but it was too polite to be an aggressive passionate paso doble IMO. Good dance none the less.
I applaud Chaz’s effort but it wasn’t a great dance.

Carrie Ann and her lift BS is getting old already. She has “selective lift” policies in place. How can one judge dock for lifts and the other two never mention them? Her critiques at times hold no merit.
I think her fawning over Chaz was because Cher was in the house. I love Chaz but I do think its time for him to go.
Isn’t Nancy working every night also and then goes home to her twins after doing her show and practising dancing for several hours??? No, Hope is not the only one with other commitments.
I have to say, in my mind? Chaz deserves a 10 just for going up those stairs! The rest of the dance? Well…. But those STAIRS! DAYUM! That impressed the hell out of me!

Geez Carrie Ann loves to throw people under the bus, doesn’t she? JR did a fine job tonight (and that’s coming from somebody who doesn’t like Karina at all), and he deserved straight 9′s in my humble opinion. Chaz was WAY overscored. That was not a paso.
Sasa, I don’t think anyone said that people have to commit 100% of their time to the show. If they did, I missed it. What I am saying is that she knew going in that it was going to be rough with all her commitments – I don’t think it’s fair the the celebs who do commit 100% to cut her slack because of her schedule. Nancy is working full time as well. That is a choice they both made and if the dancing suffers, so be it. At the end of the day, they are getting exposure and are getting paid – it’s all gravy.
@Sasa – Thats for sure, Chynna could be in trouble tomorrow night. Drama in the ballroom. I hope not though, I see potential, but Tony needs to step up the cheorography, lowering himself from the ceiling was about the only exciting thing in the whole dance. And some of the moves looks repetitious.
Chynna was the only one who messed up her dance so badly. If they are eliminated, Tony can’t blame the judges’ scores or the voting public. Even Chaz remembered all his steps. I don’t think he’ll have a meltdown cuz he knows they brought it on themselves.
Every time I think Derek can’t be any more brilliant, he proves me wrong. Genius for what sounded like impossible music and well executed by both of them. He has improved every season and he adapts to each partner bo well (I would LOVE to know how he does that). I think JR deserved another 2 points. Also DON’T understand some of those 20 range scores for some of the other messy dances. Way too high expecially Chynna, Chaz and Hope. Also thought Cheryl did ALOT of dancing around Rob.
I just finished voting, and I have to say this: By looking at all the couples’ pictures.. The only ones that in my opinion will get to the finals are JR/Karina and Ricki/Derek.. Kristin was on that list as well, but we all know how it ended. The “Thurd” couple I think could be Nancy/Tristan, but they need to up their game.. The rest are just filling the space..
I feel so awful for Chynna!! I gave her 30 votes. I’ll be sic if she goes home before some of these clowns.
I absolutely hate Tony. He always sets his partners up to fail. His partners always seem to underachieve and even forget their steps. I swear more anyone his partners seem to forget steps. Can;t be all their fault. It’s his job as a pro to put his partners in the best position to succeed and besides Stacey Keibler and Melissa Rycroft he has failed to do so.
Heidi, who is cutting Hope slack? I didn’t see it happening.
As far as the 100% comment goes I was replying to Sandra’s comment:

She goes on to say it’s understandable to have prior commitments so I’m not really disagreeing with her. I just wanted to point out that IMO Len doesn’t have a point and he shouldn’t have said it (unless there’s the ulterior motive which… I dunno).
I think the *judges* shouldn’t cut her slack which is what some of her fans seem to be saying they should do by bringing up her work load. My reaction to that train of thought is always – tough crap. You signed up for it.
Adam, hate is a pretty strong word. He is far from the only pro who has had celebs forget the steps. Even Brooke blanked completely on one of her dances. It happens to all of them at one time or another. I will agree that his choreo is occasionally not that exciting, but that’s not a reason to “hate” him.
I don’t think, and someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that either Hope or Maks have used a heavy workload as any kind of excuse. In fact, they seem to be going out of their way to say otherwise. And the fans that are bringing it up, should maybe take a hint from their team.
I wasn’t aware of those fan comments. That’s just silly.

I enjoyed the 2 foxtrots most tonight. Hope & Maks were as cute as can be! Len was totally out of line lecturing her about the amount of time she rehearses. I thought it was very disrespectful. I mean, really.
IMO, they stayed with the story best of the night and they looked like they was having fun with it. 26
I did not like JR’s costume (the black unitard I had envisioned would’ve been much better
), but he was technically very, very good. I was shocked at Carrie Ann’s comments. Relative to all other dancers, he should’ve had 3 nines.
Poor Chynna, I feared she would have issues with the tango. That was way over-scored, I thought it deserved sixes at best, fives actually.
Derek’s choreography was brilliant as always but I didn’t think Ricki danced it as well as she might have. The 10s were awarded to Derek and his choreo, and in relationship to the dances that had gone before them. As always, that’s just my opinion.
None of the pasos were memorable at all or even well-performed. I was very disappointed because I do love a good paso doble.
I felt bad for Carson because the swords obviously caused him to get off on the wrong foot and he never quite recovered. Hoping he gets to stay.
I feel so bad for Chynna right now. I know what it’s like to completely blank, but doing it in front of 20 million people, if I were her, I would seriously crawl into a little hole and never even think about coming out. I absolutley love Derek, I really do, but I’m sick of him frequently topping the leadervoard. Not just this season but every season. And I thought Rickis tango was great, but the judges iverscored it. I think JR shouldve gotten at least one more point, and Ricki shouldve tied with whatever JR got. I was furious at Carrie Ann tonight, slightly overscoring Ricki, then underscoring JR. I was especially mad at her for her critique on JR’s foxtrot. What was sh thinking, saying that the foxtrot couldve gone without the humor? Has she ever seen the Pink Panther? It’s a comedy, and I think Karina made the right decision, sticking to the PP theme. Was Carrie Ann trying to bring out her inner Len, deducting points for the dance being to theatrical(on a theme week)? I am very discombobulated with Carrie Ann at this moment
Er, so they should underscore Derek just because someone is tired of seeing him at the top of the leaderboard? Riight. Perhaps there’s a reason he’s always up there?? I was complaining to Courtney when we found out what music he and Ricki had – they always give him the hardest songs to dance to. Pretty woman tango? 50′s Paso? Futuristic Paso? And now a Tango to the theme from psycho?? My comment to Courtney was that they were trying to get another emmy worthy routine out of him. Or trying to torture him. Hard to decide.
I don’t think they shout underscore Derek. I feel they should acore J.R. properly. He should have been the leader the past 3 weeks. Not Ricki. In my opinion. On Derek getting hard songs to cheoragraph too…Almost ALL of the pros get alot of hard songs to cheorgraph at times. Karina has had to do a Foxtrot to Boom Boom Pow, a Samba to Sweet Home Alabama, and a Cha Cha to Stuck in the Middle?? Just to name a few recents. Tony has had to do a Paso to Papparazzi, a Rumba to The Hills theme, and the song tonight felt a little fast for a Tango. I guess that’s just part of being a pro on this show
Didn’t they have a problem getting “Stars” this time and then have to relax the time requirements or something? Think I read that somewhere. Also, sometimes I get the feeling that Len wants Hope to go all the way so he is pushing her. You can tell when he doesn’t like somebody; remember how he was with Louie Vito?
I watched some of the performances again this am. Derek and Ricki really pulled off something amazing just as Heidi said. I freaked when I heard the music they were given but then I thought it is DEREK. He didn’t disappoint. I just don’t get the too high scores for some of the terrible, judges have really messed up with that b4. And I’m hoping they are not setting up Ricki like Nicole, Mya, Ralph come to mind and come back in a couple weeks and tell her “gee, you are not working up to your potential or some such crap like they have done in the past for WHATEVER reason they do it.
Zach, you need to learn to express yourself differently. Screaming about Derek getting his butt kissed because you’re upset about JR’s scoring is ridiculous. Grow up and quit lowering the dialogue. Ricki’s scores have nothing to do with JR and vice versa. Target your anger appropriately. CAI is the one that handed them the 8.
You’re comparing Papparazzi to Psycho? The Hills theme? The only one I’ll give you is Boom Boom Pow. For someone who claimed to be unbiased last week you certainly are sounding….biased.

I’m not saying Ricki’s scores need to be lower as much as J.R.’s need to be higher. I believe I said just yesterday I admit to being biased at times. Nothing against Ricki or Derek. It was just obvious last night CAI had a target on J.R’s back, for me.
