Good Morning America Gets Us Ready For DWTS Tonight And Interviews Ricki And Derek! (Video)

Good Morning America goes “behind the scenes” today on Dancing With The Stars to get us ready for tonight. They build up the hype of Cher being in the audience and how her appearance will effect all the dancers and Chaz. They also go into Derek and Ricki’s rehearsals to ask them about it. Ricki wants to do her best and Derek says he hopes Cher shares her votes. Derek also talks of how he tries to approach each season like it’s his first time because it’s the celebrity’s first time. They talk of the “Derek Hough Diet”, how competitive Ricki is, and more.

I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. I love Derek but I find Ricki Lake annoying. She reminds me of Brandy wanting so much to win.

I think you are the only one that thinks like that, ten. Brandy gave me the impression that she’d be completely devastated if she didn’t win. Ricki is just competitive and she’s the only one that is saying that she is. I doubt that Ricki would be devastated if she didn’t win. She’s got a wedding and a new talk show to look forward to. She’s also said that for her it’s all about really learning to dance now and not winning or losing. She just wants to do her best every week.

@Elmari – I agree with Ten… Ricki just irritates me, why can’t she just enjoy the journey. Its unfortunate, I was eager for Dereks return but I just can’t embrace Ricki..

Can’t you at least see a difference in their personalities. There is nothing annoying about this woman, she is a doll!

Wow, I couldn’t disagree more, Ten. There’s a difference between being competitive and NEEDING to win. I never get the feeling that she needs it like Brandy did.
