David Arquette Planning to Be “Open and Sensual” With The Tango (Video)
Kym tells E Online that her and David are planning to make a big comeback this week on Dancing With The Stars. David has been practicing in his Cuban shoes in preparing for their new dance on Monday night. They are slowing it down. It will be “beautiful, graceful, and romantic”. They plan to show some skin. More teasers…
ADDING: Here is David on The talk today….
Is it me or is Kym throwing out some “heavily protective of David” vibes? He’s lucky he got her for a partner.
So why does the thought of David being “open & sensual” scare me so much????? Please tell me Stern will not be in the audience.
Rebecca, I’m with you – the thought of David being sensual at all or any more open than he’s already been scares me to death. He needs to realize that sometimes less is more. Maintain some little mystery (or maybe that just applies to women, I dont’ know).
Somebody must have clued David about the eye contact thing that bothered me so much before. You can tell he’s making a real effort to look directly at the interviewer while being interviewed now. Maybe the improvement in Monday’s Paso gave him confidence, or maybe it’s Kym’s calming influence… or maybe they increased his ADD meds … Whatever the cause, the effect makes him a lot easier to watch! We’ll see if that carries over to the dance floor.
@Rebecca W – What about PeeWee Herman? Whats up with his face everywhere? They even talked to him on the show, I believe it was on a results show. Maybe PeeWee will part of the new cast next season…. Yuck!
Sorry, I really thought I would really like David, but now he gives me the heebee-jeebees…
I guess David the one we don’t like this week, huh.
I like David and his dances are better than Nancy’s or Carson’s
Huh. I think this might actually be an interview from Week 3? I recognize the outfit from the interview he & Kym did with KTLA (it’s… kind of difficult to forget, lol), and he wouldn’t be wearing Latin heels to rehearse a tango, which is a smooth dance. David said on his Twitter that their tango would be about a love/hate relationship, inspired by the story of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen…. “Love/hate” is a freaking understatement when it comes to Sid and Nancy, though. But given David’s own experience with addiction, I’m really interested to see what he brings to it. I’m pretty sure it’s either going to be really powerful, or a train wreck.
You’re right Venus. The interviewer starts off saying “congratulations on 2 weeks.”
@Sandy- I might have to draw the line if Pee Wee H was cast on the show. Major cringe time. And I wanted to like David. But there is just something about him…strange intensity or something. Don’t know exactly but it is difficult for me to watch him dance.
Some people cringe over David, some over Carson, some over Chaz, some over Mark or Lacey. Sad 🙁
I truly don’t get why people are creeped out by David, or really anyone else from this season. He has the attention span of Kirstie Alley and everybody loved her for her kookiness.
What I appreciate about David is that I think that is really him being himself, for good or ill. With some of the other acting/Hollywood type celebs I’m not sure if that is the real them. Some have got a little too much ham going all the time for me to tell.
What is not so good is that David is a little skittish and giggly at weird moments. I’d settle on David controlling those things during his dance better. His face kind of goes everywhere when he needs to settle on a couple of things to emote. His behind the scenes stuff seems pretty harmless at this point. Early on he had some missteps (Stern being a big one) but those seem to have stopped.
Sasa, David creeps me out for two reasons – his inability to look people in the eye for longer than two seconds – not his fault, I’m sure it’s due to his various problems. But the worst is his laugh. It’s creepy. It actually makes me cringe. Which is probably due to MY various problems. *LOL* But that’s why.
Thanks for explaining Evaine. We’re not on the same page and that is perfectly fine.
I get that David is weird but just the fact that is a sea of contrived, planned and phony which is Hollyweird he has his own thing going- is enough to at least not make me dislike him.
*IN a sea*
sorry for the mistake
