Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff Steps Out For Breast Cancer

Last night on the QVC channel, Karina joined other celebrities for QVC’s “FFANY Shoes on Sale” to help sell shoes for Breast Cancer research and education. Radar Online reports that for the past 17 years, QVC special benefit has sold over 1.5 million pairs of shoes and has donated more than $35 million to the cause. This year, more than 90,000 pairs of shoes from over 80 brands will be sold.

Good job Karina! I hope you were able to sell a lot of shoes!!!

DWTS Season 13, Week 5 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Here’s the trend for the week: rumba rumba tango tango samba samba….jive foxtrot?? Ummm….yeah, love me some theme weeks. It makes it SO easy to compare the dancers to each other. :::rolls eyes::: Rob versus Nancy? Don’t much care to see either Rumba…sorry, fans. I think Hope and David both could do really well with the tango and I think the judges want them around for a while so these should be no brainers. The sambas?? Well, JR will rock it and Chaz won’t – mission accomplished there, too. Carson’s Jive scares the crap outta me and Ricki’s Foxtrot?? Well, that scares me too, but only because I know what song they are dancing to – and they kinda got screwed (again). However, they are FAR from alone on crappy song selection…more on that later.

ETA: Gah, I hate Hello. Ugh.

ETA 2: And Tristan fans breathe a sigh of relief. It could have been worse. Can I say I also do NOT like JR’s song. :::sigh::: It’s fine for a Samba, I’m sure, I just don’t like that song.

ETA 3: Yes, we’re aware that Chaz is dancing to Mark and Shawn’s Samba song.

ETA 4: Squeeeee…..Tainted Love. “Touch me please I cannot stand the way you teaaase!!!”

ETA 5: JR is dancing 4th?? Hmmm…that may or may not be good. 4th of 8th might be at the top of the hour, but dang, we’re gonna have a lot of filler.

ETA 6: Step one in “this is Hope’s week” is complete, she’s dancing first and setting the bar.
