Carrie Anne Inaba was interviewed by Access Hollywood today on the controversy surrounding the judges negative comments. She makes excuses for Bruno calling Chaz a penguin. I’m not sure I can watch all of this?

I might have bought what she’s saying about Bruno if I hadn’t seen his reaction to Chaz’s confessional.
At least she did say that she thought the “my show” comment was not meant the way it came out.
I found her comments about Bruno’s second language interesting.
And WHAT an endorsement for E-Harmony! *LOL* Who’d a thunk it!
That was a nice interview. CA is a hyper emotional, hyper talkative person but she’s also a positive person IMO.
And maybe I’m naive but I do believe that Bruno doesn’t mean what he says in a bad way. I can relate with having English as a second language. It’s not just the difference in vocabulary, it’s also a difference in thinking and the way of expressing things. American are MUCH MUCH more politically correct when they speak then Europeans. They speak to convey the point while Italians speak to paint pictures. That is IMO absolutely true.
Although I do not own it, nor did I go there, when talking to others about it I refer to the school I work at as “my school.” Maks did go on to say that he HELPED to make it what it is, and he’s right about that. I don’t think Bruno meant to be mean, but he’s been speaking English longer than Maks. What Bruno needs to do is learn to apologize when what he thinks is funny isn’t to his victim.
Victim is too strong a word, but I couldn’t think of another one at the moment.
Bruno just needs to choose his words wisely. He is funny to watch.
the episode with Len and Maks,i agree with Maks its about time someone speaks up,The judges especially Carrie and Len are judging on favoritism,and not dancing
its time to shake up the judges,Bruno is the best one there,overall i love the show,but if maks and Ona was cut a lot of viewers would stop watching
hmm, I actually liked this interview quite a bit. I am never quite sure how I feel about CA, actually, but I feel like she came off as quite likeable here actually.
I find it interesting that the judges (Len and CA) have been in an easy going mode about MaksGate in their interviews while Maks was still in his rage mode.
Those interviews were held after they presumably met with the producers to talk everything over.
Obviously I don’t know who attends those meetings (apart for Tom) and what is said there but it can go two ways: either Maks shot himself in the foot and is not coming back to dwts so he doesn’t care to play nice or the producers actually said “this is tv gold, keep at it Maks, just for the drama sake”. Either way, the judges seem more calm about the outcome then Maks does.
Yeah, I actually agree with Carrie Ann. It was out of place for Bruno to call him a penguin and yes Bruno can get too flamboyant and at times crossed the line but if Chaz think’s he was shown negative biasm from the judges then he’s crazy. The clips prove it. There’s been just as much ” really more ” possitive feed back than negative.
Have been watching dws since day one and the judges have their favorites it seems to me.. Also have to say it seems Derek always gets celeb.that can dance and the good music and has never had a bad word from judges!!! I see some unfairness on show.. Lets remember the show started where the celeb. had no experience dancing as Kelly Obsorne didn’t but Donnie Osmond won who has had dance on all his shows…ty…Max was right and owes no apolgy…
Ellen, that song and dance it old and tired. Here’s a new one – MAKS GOT THE PARTNER HE ASKED FOR.. He bummed about his partner?? Tough shit. He’s the only pro in the history of this show to ask for a particular partner and to GET HER. Now explain to me again who the favorite is?? Derek’s partners asked for him – not the other way around.
EHarmony? Wow, that was a surprise that the “crazy cat lady” as she calls herself met her fiance that way… Interesting.
Bottom line….the judges ARE inconsistent and do show favoritism……much like the American public does. So what? Is Chaz any worse than Nancy Grace….NO. So what….NEITHER of them is a good dancer. At least a relatively good celeb dancer wins each year…albeit not necessarily the best one. Bottom line the best celeb dancers are JR and Ricki and the best pro male and female dancers are Derek and Karina. But Derek always has an edge because he is the best choreographer. (I know…that’s my educated opinion.) Nonetheless, the war hero is going to win for obvious reasons. There you have it….this is not strictly a dance contest. Even if it was….the judges would differ. Bottom line, I guess the judges just need to try harder to be consistent (I agree with Maks)…and they also need to stop calling people names that might offend. (I agree with Chaz). Just comment on the positives and suggest the improvemen;ts. But then we would not have the controversy the producers love. That said….I love Maks..he’s my fav….Onward.
In the interview CAI said “was this couple better than the one before” or something along those lines. I wish they’d decide if they’re judging for content or comparison. If comparison, why bother with the paddles? Just decide amongst themselves at the end of the show and produce a ranking,
Now they pick on some for style and then give another,worse dancer, like Bristol, points for “improving” and comparison. UGH!
I think Bruno does these “picture word thingys”to avoid saying “you are very awkward, can’t move and suck as a dancer”. Would everybody prefer that? I think in his own awkward, inept way he is trying to be ?kind? in a bruno-way!?!!
I don’t like the “personal”comments either but I think Bruno is just trying to get his point across. JMO

I am with Maks all the way. You are losing your credibility as a judge when you compare a dancer to an animal or a motion picture creature, just makes you look studpid. And to tell Hope she was awful when she has worked so hard was cruel. The judges think they are the stars of the show, and they aren’t. They never give credit to the people who have not danced, they pick their favorites and it shows. The only time they said anything kind to Chaz was when Cher was there..They aren’t fooling anyone. Bush League for sure.
