I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. 2. Ricki and Derek
3. Cheryl and Rob
It was sort of a toss up between #2 and #3, but honestly? I don’t think Rob’s dancing looks nice, so… he gets the #3 spot.
If Ricki gets the 30 pts for the fave dance tonight, she could still place 2nd and/or win right? Ricki/Derek have always been my faves, but if I am going to go with the scores from last night and what i think will be the scores tonight– JR, Ricki, Rob.
Maybe I need to watch it again, but I did not particularly like Rob’s freestyle at all. It didn’t excite me, and I don’t know that he executed it perfectly..not perfect score worthy, at any rate, in my opinion. I actually liked Ricki’s freestyle the best. I think it was fun, different, and a good challenge for her that she conquered. I think J.R maybe executed his a little better, so was maybe deserving of a bit higher scores, for that reason. I think Ricki deserved at least a ten, or two, between the two of her dances though.
I say JR and Karina had the best followed by Cheryl and Rob. Because JR and Karina pushed it with lots of lifts and it was creative and did I mention the lifts(those semi dangerous looking lifts). Cheryl and Rob come second only because theirs was different. It wasn’t something done in the freestyle a lot and it looked like a jazzy/ballroomy number. I didn’t really see anything pop or stand out in Ricki and Derek’s freestyle. seemed kind of “been there done that”.(But that might just be me).
I thought that J.R. & Karina had the best Freestyle. Rob and Cheryl’s freestyle looked more a quickstep with lifts and I wasn’t really impressed by it. Ricki & Derek were good but I wasn’t blown away by the performance. All my votes went to J.R. last night. I hope he and Karina finally gets the Mirror Ball Trophy.
No, elmari – JR and Ricki, if one gets the 30 he or she moves into first place. Anything else for either of them and they’re in third place. But only by a point.
I’m looking so forward to Heidi’s number post. All you puredwts moderators/writers really make the show exponentially more enjoyable for me. Thanks for all the hard, very time consuming work in making such an awesome site.

I have rewatched Ricki’s freestyle several times and it makes me smile more every time. I especially loved how excited she was when the dance was over. Watching her jump up and down was fun to watch. She is obviously proud of what she has accomplished.
She is also very excited for Rob and JR in all of the interviews I have seen. I think Ricki and Derek are not expecting in any way to win tonight, and they are both fine with that. I love it when people can be happy for other’s accomplishments.
I expect JR will win, which I am more than happy with. I voted for Ricki just to make sure she at least finishes in second.

From my calculations, if either J.R. or Ricki get a 30, they still will not top Rob if he gets second place, because they will have 84 at the most, while he will have an 85 if he is 2nd.
The worst scenario is if Rob gets the 30. He will have 87, and then Ricki and J.R. will duke it out for scores of 82 or 80. A 5 to 7 point spread is pretty steep, if assuming that everyone’s voting bases are equal.
The best scenario for Ricki and J.R. is for them to take 1st and 2nd in the favorite dance. If they do that, the scores will almost even out to 82, 83, and 84, with Rob in 2nd place. Then, it becomes anyone’s Championship, and it will only be left to the votes as to who will be the top 2.
This is why the overscoring of Rob’s Freestyle by the judges last night really did damage. Unless their fan bases are more explosive than his, one of the two most consistent and top-scoring teams will end up in third place tonight.
I am a die-hard Ricki & Derek Cheerleader myself, so I am pulling for their Psycho Tango to slash and dash into first place. Go Team D-Rickilous!

I tried all during the show and for another hour to vote for JR w/out success. just busy signal. Is someone blocking votes except to the favorite??
@Heidi, yes, so I guess I am saying – I agree with you! I am just really hoping that Ricki and J.R. pull it out, because I just do not think it was fair to give Rob a 30 when his footwork so greatly lacks bounce and step. But, I also felt the same way about this with Hines. To me, the only one with pep in his step the last three seasons was Kyle Massey.
My favorite was by far JR and Karina. I never though. I’d say/write this, but Karina’s freestyle choreography beat the crap out of Dereks! I liked Rob and Ricki, but I LOVED JR!
You can’t be perfect everytime, dwts freak.
But I disagree – Derek will likely get an Emmy nom or two out of this season. 
I’m guessing he could actually get three nominations.
- One individually for the Psycho tango and the Little Red Riding Hood paso double
- One with Allison for the argentine tango/flamingo routine
- One with Anna for the DaD

Obviously this is a popularity contest poll & not dancing? Jrs the wounded hero who the judges & fans of the show wanted 2 win since the beginning? Robs family name hurt him & if u don’t believe me watch the show again w/ open eyes/minds? Every week he improved while the other 2 stayed the same or worse when they had bad dances. I recorded season & watched more than once 2c the dances clearly. I’m a fan & also a professional dancer of 40 yrs this year. But its an entertainment show & all winners because being on show is free (2 the stars) publicity! Pros are the real winners 2teach non-dancers 2 dance! Hard wrk & they pull it off every season..
Gitte, I don’t know that he’s actually allowed to submit three times for Emmys, even in those combinations. I would have to look it up.
The the sequence where JR was flipping Karina around that they were never able to complete until they went live made it the best for me!
