An ‘Incredible’ And ‘Magical’ Night For Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Birthday Bash (Photos)
What a great and touching night it must have been at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, NY for Maks Birthday Bash!! Val called it “incredible” at twitter. One of Maks fans described it as “magical”.
To help Maks celebrate, his close friends and family were there…as well as some of his dance partners from Dancing With The Stars including Kirstie Alley and Erin Andrews.
Pictured above is Maks, Kirstie, Val, Tony, and Teddy V. The last I heard at twitter, Maks had teared it up three times over the touching moments.
You can view more fantastic shots of the night at Zimbio. Getty has some great coverage and pics on the night too which include everyone in attendance from Sherri Shepherd, Chelsie Hightower, Erin Andrews, Kirstie Alley, Kurt Warner, and more.
ADDING: ProBeautyNYC at You tube has posted some cool videos from the night. Be sure you check them all out here if interested.
From all reports of people, fans, friends and celebs who were there, it was a wonderful night. Lots of emotion, emphasis on family and a lot of great dancing thrown in. I wish I could have been there. 🙂
Me too Evaine 😉 and now Val is tweeting about a “tour”. I hope they do it.
That would be very, very cool. 🙂
There were an awful lot of Real Housewives at this party. I’m officially scared.
Please. No.
There were a lot of Real House wives because Lizzie represent most of them. Not be afraid PH. 🙂
Ugh. I hope you’re right.
The name that popped out at me was Chelsie Hightower. Of all his “co-stars”, I thought it odd that she would be the one to attend–just never thought of them as buddies 🙂
Yeah… I noticed no dwts pros other than Chelsie. interesting!
Well, Derek was so sick that he apparently had trouble with his stairs. Mark was working. Anna is working. I believe Lacey was working.
They have lives too. And really, judging by the price to get in, Val and Tony, at least, were working too. 🙂
[…] another note: we’ve also added a video link to Maks Birthday Bash post which includes some of the dancing and coverage from Friday night!! So, be sure to visit that post […]
I attended and it was a fantastic show full of love & appreciation for not only Maks but ballroom dancing in general. The video montages where various people spoke, including his father, were very moving.
The most touching to me were the comments made by the students of his first Rising Stars Class whom Maks taught when he was just 17. Many of these students, now in their mid 20’s or so, are no longer dancing competitively but all came back & prepared cheorgraphed numbers as a tribute to him. It was apparent the effect he has had on their lives and the respect they have for him.
All in all it was a magical night filled with love & celebration & definitely worth the price of admission. 🙂
