DWTS Season 14 Rumors and Innuendo – And Twitter Nonsense
This post is a Heidi/Courtney/Vogue collaboration…
As many of you have noticed – the DWTS rumor mill is pretty darn slow these days. No big media outlets reporting legit casting rumors, no glaring Twitter slip-ups by potential candidates, just…vagueness & silence. Which of course makes our job here at PureDWTS a bit harder 
However, we do keep a pretty vigilant eye on what’s happening on Twitter, and there have been a handful of tweets that have caught our eye as possibly being something legit (and some that are obviously joking, but funny enough to mention 
), so we thought we’d go ahead and share – but take these with a BIIIIIG grain of salt, kids. We’re reaching here
Heidi: First up, we have yet another NFL player that someone is claiming to be on DWTS this season – Jeremiah “The Axe Man” Trotter. I found this in my random perusal of various twitter searches. I have no idea if the person claiming he heard Jeremiah is even remotely serious or remotely connected – but Jeremiah’s non-denial is interesting, plus I remember how I didn’t blog about knowing that a Steeler was going to dance. A month before the announcement. ETA: The tweet I posted a bit ago about Vince Young, also from the Eagles, makes this one seem like the person with the info got the wrong player. Hard to say.
Next up, an tweet from Kirstie Alley to Lisa Marie yesterday that got some eyebrows raising:
Courtney: Admittedly, this is EXTRAORDINARILY vague. Kirstie could just be trying to coax Lisa Marie into participating in her “100 Days of Dance” event, or she could be just using it in the figurative sense, as in “Yay! You’re another year older! Do some sort of celebratory dance!!!” However, some interpreted it as “Get ready to hoof it on DWTS soon!” Could Lisa Marie be signed up for season 14? Who knows…but her mom did the show in season 6, and doing the show might help Lisa Marie spread the word about several charities she’s involved with. However, according to Wikipedia, she currently lives in London – so who knows. Food for thought. I think she’d be a great addition to the show – she seems to shun the spotlight, but she looks FANTASTIC for her age and seems to be in good shape.
Vogue: Here’s Lisa Marie in her “Idiot” video “shaking it”. What do you think? Would she be able to dance? Hmmm…she definitely has the beats down like her Dad though nothing “Hound Dog” unique, but, would she be able to memorize elaborate dance numbers? She may have trouble like her Mom, but, I can see her paired with Maks!
Courtney: Now we move onto actress Wendy Robinson, who tweets some things that could be exciting out-of-context…
But upon further examination, it’s obviously just wishful thinking:

Courtney: On the campaign front, it looks like the latest celeb to have fans gunning for them to do the show is actress Jackée Harry:
If memory serves, I think Jackée has been a rumor before…or maybe a campaign. IDK. Too much going on in my head Either way, she’s funny…I think she’d be kinda like Niecy. In fact, I think she’s actually friends with Niecy.
And in the category of “purely joking”, we have Darrell Sheets from the A&E series Storage Wars no doubt giving a costar a hard time:
Courtney: For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Storage Wars is a reality show where they take self-storage units that are delinquent on their rent and auction off the contents to the highest bidder as a single lot. Sometimes you get valuable antiques and priceless artifacts; sometimes you get junk. Darrell & Barry (Weiss) are two of the people who bid on these units – and the reason I find this tweet so funny is that this is Barry:
Vogue: I can’t see it. I just can’t.
Courtney: If Reuben from Ocean’s Eleven had a drunken love child with Charlie Sheen’s character from Two & A Half Men, it would be Barry Weiss (whose name makes me want a beer).
And just breaking, we have this gem from Taylor Armstrong of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills:
Courtney: Can we say “desperate for attention”? Sorry, but Taylor’s totally fishing here – she’s name-dropping a pro (a pro that’s too short for her, no less), acting like they’re bff (ok…I must’ve missed something…I didn’t think she & LVA even ran in the same circles), and doing it less than a month before the cast announcement when she’s already been rumored as a contestant. Whether or not she’s actually been asked remains to be seen, but judging from the constant reports I’ve been hearing that she’s flat broke and terrified that she’s not going to be asked back for season 3 of RHOBH (a legit concern, as I hear they’re already looking for some new housewives), the woman sounds desperate with a captial D – so you best believe that if she gets asked, she’s doing it. I hope Tony’s got a therapist on standby…
Vogue: Then there is Sam Champion…yes, Sam strikes again! Check out this little ‘retweet’ Sam made this morning. Why would he retweet this if he wasn’t dancing on Dancing With The Stars Season 14? This guy is going to give us serious heart palpitations with all of this TEASING!! With the added anticipation of Madonna dancing in the Super Bowl, I’m dying here. 
Bring it Sam or ELSE! 
I really hope Sam is going to be on! What a great season it would be!
Yes to Lisa Marie (I am a big Elvis fan so she would get my votes even if she is terrible) and Sam! If they get Barry it would be interesting though lol. Dude is a character.
If Lisa Marie does the show I think she has a cool personality that would really gel with Maks. She is fearless too. I remeber watching an interview where she said that she is an adrenaline junkie (I think it was Ellen but don’t quote me on it lol). She can probs dance too becuase Priscilla rocked when she was on (she really surprised a lot of people) and since she is Elvis’ daughter she has to have a couple of his signature moves down.
LOL @Sam Champion. If he doesn’t go on DWTS this season, there is always next.
I saw the Jackee Harry tweet and figured it was another campaign.
As for Lisa Marie…. go for it!!! But I suspect Kirstie was just chattering.
Would be cool if Lisa Marie did the show. I think she’s too short for Maks as she is only 5’3 at most.
Raquel Robinson was probably just commenting on the look of the dress that she was wearing. She is a star on BET’s The Game. I would love to see her on the show though.
I guess the rumors will begin to pour as we are nearing 3 weeks to the reveal.

Wow, it just dawned on me Lisa Marie reminds me of Tina Marie!! She’s a soulful songtress! She’d be good with a couple of the pros but I think she’d be awesome with Derek! She fits the demographics for one of his girls.-LOL
Though I still want to see him paired with a younger “star” I think he and Lisa would be a nice pairing!

If she does come on DWTS hopefully she’s paired with one of the older male pros and not Derek, she may be a little too emotionally draining for him. I’ve loved his past contestants but I feel it’s time he had a young, fun person. Would be a nice change.

Lisa Marie would be a great contestant I think! Her mom was wonderful with Louis!! I would personally LOVE to see Bill and Gulianna Rancic both compete on the show. I think it would be amazing to see a husband/wife compete against each other on dwts. Gulianna and Tristan, Bill and Kym!! Omg that would be great. Throw in Paula Dean and I would be in heaven!!

@sheery: she is much more than the daughter of elvis. she is a singer, does a lot of charity work, helped make graceland the tourist attraction it is today, if i remeber correctly her and her mother basically run the place and anything officially elvis (t shirts, dvds, books, etc), and last but not least a working mom which would make her realteable to a lot of mothers.

Oh no!!! I surely hope Brooke hasn’t been fired! And if she is, I really really don’t miss Samantha. But Brooke brought such a comedic relief to the show. I’d be devastated if she was fired.

Maybe the bad news was that Brooke found out TPTB are changing the rules this season, and every round of dancing will contain a series of coin tosses to determine who goes in what order….. so many coins to flip, so many mistakes to be made! HA!

Well, Paula Abdul is available to cohost. Though, I think she’d be worse than Brooke.
Paula Abdul as cohost would be disasterous. The woman can’t even put together a complete sentence half of the time and has a very questionable sense of fashion lol (does anyone else watch fashion police lol they rip her apart a lot lol). Saying that, think of all the jokes Tom can do! That would be a big benefit lol
I give it a week before we start to hear rumors of Paula competing on the show.

@Voguerista: Why did Simon fire her anyways? I think that whole Rachel Crow thing was the final straw for Nicole but still shocked Simon fired Paula.
I wish we knew. I loved Paula too! What a shame!
I think the firing of Paula was mostly because it made Xfactor seem too reminiscent of American Idol with Paula and Simon side-by-side. And I think that the network put pressure on Simon as well.
I saw online that Samantha Harris is leaving ET and Brooke got bad news. Hmmm. I love Paula and hope she finds a good fit. Simon is starting to seem a bit desperate with all the firings (including Cheryl C).
I like Samantha Harris on the re-runs of DWTS on Gameshow network. I’m not gunning for Brooke to be fired (she’s got a bunch of mouths to feed and needs to work), but if she does get replaced, I wouldn’t mind if they brought Samantha back. I don’t think DWTS co-hosting would really be a big enough gig for Paula Abdul.
