   I think this is a rumour that has legs. *nodnod* I think she and Roberto have broken up, haven’t they? So, she’s ready for her next 15 minutes of fame and we know how ABC loves to promote their own. And isn’t Ali friends with Chelsie?

   If she indeed does the show, I hope she gets Val. Something about her makes me think she is going to be a Jake Pavelka type that is in it for the last 2 minutes of fame and to be honest I don’t picture her with Derek or Mark. If she wants her last couple minutes of fame then give her Val or Maks that will teach her a lesson lol

   Here’s a thought – let’s not cast any more Bachelor/ettes until they’ve been together for more than 15 minutes. A two year anniversary should be the prerequisite because that would make it novel and interesting and fresh. These short shomances (hard to call them romances as I don’t see anything romantic in the entire concept) are old news. Is anyone even surprised anymore when news of the breakup surfaces? Someone that actually found true(-ish) love on that show would be more interesting to see on DWTS.

   Wasn’t she on crutches for a while for some leg, foot surgery? I would hope she would be too short for Maks. Honestly don’t know who I would want her with but maybe Mark or Val. She’s cute but all these Bachelor/ette are so overexposed and tiresome.

   Sorry, I know the DWTS producers like to cast reality stars, but are any of the Bachelor/Bachelorettes even remotely interesting??? The only one was Melissa Rycroft because she got horribly dumped on live television and she turned out to be a great dancer because she was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader before. I say, NO THANK YOU to casting any more of these kinds of reality stars. I wouldn’t even consider them stars, just a glorified everyday person.

   Just to add another thought … I’d love for DWTS to cast more people like JR Martinez (if they are gonna cast somewhat ‘normal’ people). People who have done something admirable and perhaps have gotten a bit of fame from it. But then again, people like JR are very rare.

    If this is legit (and it’s seeming like the most legit thing we’ve heard so far), I’m actually picturing her more with Tristan…sort of a young, fresh-faced, guy-and-girl-next-door pairing. And I would not be the least bit surprised if someone actually requested Tristan this season – he seems to have caught the eye of quite a few people.

    I don’t know anything about Ali, but I’m on the whole “no more bachelor/bachelorette” contestants. I couldn’t stand Pavelka, though I did sort of like Melissa.

    I could see her asking for Tristan, too, Courtney, or more likely (to me) I could see her asking for Derek. She would know he could take her far, and they would make a cute pairing, both blonde and pretty. But–do I think the producers would actually ever give her Derek? Not a chance, unless for some reason nobody else requested him. I just don’t see Ali as someone they would be wanting to get so badly that they would give her what she wanted.

    I think she’d be great though she isn’t really a celebrity no matter how hard she tries! She tweeted a couple of weeks ago about looking for an apt in San Francisco and apparently had found one last week so something has changed. I suggested a pairing of her & Maks on the ABC site a while back but now I’d love to see her with Tristan as the previous poster suggested. I think they would be hot!

    I just saw an Us magazine article that said Ali was 5’7″, so Tristan/Tony/Maks all make sense height-wise…
    I don’t know why, but when I read this, my first thought was “yeah, it’s probably spot-on”… I guess I’m OK with it, it’s just kind of “meh”…

    Gosh some of these rumors are getting worse and worse. My excitement is dwindling. I am bummed.

    I agree with Linde, any “showmance” that does not last for at least 1year should not be eligible for the show. And please DO NOT give Tristan a reality person! PLEASE, give the reality person to the “new” pro, or the pro who needs time out either of those work. but I hope this isn’t true I don’t want another bachelor/bachelorette on the show.

    Fear not, Sandy! Remember last season? I don’t think too many people were thrilled about last season’s rumors. I remember grumbling about wicked Nancy Grace, B lister?? David Arquette, boring Rob Kardashian and JR Who?? and look how well that turned out!? It will be okay! (I hope!)

    As much as I am not a fan of the Bachelor/ette show, if Ali does appear as a contestant this season, I love the pro pairing Courtney suggested. I think Tristan and Ali would be good together. I’d love to seem him with a younger celeb and they do have the guy and girl next door feel. She would be good with Derek as well, but I do not see a chance for that pairing or her with Maks either. Maks and Derek are highly popular pros on the show that I feel typically the producers pair with the celebs they want badly or the celebs that have more clout on their request of who they want for a pro.

    Doesn’t Tony usually get the reality types? Don’t know if that’s because of his height or if it’s just the “slot” he fills now. I like Tristan with Ali though. I just want him to have a partner that keeps him around awhile.

    Just to mention, I think Ali and Roberto were together for almost two years, no? I’m not a fan of hers AT ALL, I got very turned off by her “mean girl” attitude when she was on Pavelka’s season of the Bachelor and couldn’t really get past that when she was on the Bachelorette. That being said, I honestly thought that they, Ali and Roberto might have a chance.

    Ugh, sick of reality types. I can see Tony getting her. If he does, and does mt win or she is not good, no Tony only gets duds that is why he has not won. No, he has gotten good partners but he fails when he has those chances.

    Maybe she will be with Tristan. Young, seems athletic. Maybe to see how he does with someone who fits the young, in shape mold.

    I can picture this and was just thinking of her as a potential the other day. She doesn’t have the baggage (aka she has split from her guy) that Jake had. Vienna was jealous of Jake’s appearance, though I think his nickname of Jake the Snake was apt.

    We’re basing the Ali thing on one tweet that could mean ANYTHING. Really, if they cast her, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel (again) – if they didn’t ask her right after her season when she was still popular, why would they ask her now?? It doesn’t make any sense. They’ve cast three people from that franchise in 13 seasons – Melissa was obvious and was a replacement at the last minute for an injury; Jake, again right after his season and it was a controvertial season, and; the first chick way back when before the show was the phenom it is now. I just don’t see it. She certainly doesn’t have the pull to request ANYONE, let alone Derek – although they would be a pretty couple. Needless to say, I will be shocked if this one is for real.

    This makes TOTAL sense. They are promoting the new Bachelorette with Emily – she was just somewhere in Hollywood with Emily and the dark haired girl who was the last bachelorette. PR. PR. PR. Getting mucho mentions about Bachelorette every week, twice a week. ABC synergy

    Still don’t think they are ‘stars’ but she’s had a few People magazine covers. I guess we can truly say that people go on that show (bachelor/ette) to become ‘famous’ not to find a ‘soulmate”…

    I must admit that I only clicked through to this thread because I knew Vogue would treat me with a picture of Ali. Thanks Vogue for making sure I got to see one. I wouldn’t mind her being on the show just for looks alone. When she chose her job (at Facebook by the way) over the Bachelor and then changed her mind and came back again I lost some respect for her, but that didn’t diminish how stunningly beautiful she was/is.

    Does seem like a stretch of a rumor, but the cost would be cheap and with the side benefit of promoting Bachelor, they might just do it.

    For whoever said that they hoped Ali was short, as I recall Roberto and her were pretty tall when I saw them at this reality event. Although, it certainly could have been her heels.

    The Bachelor is on right NOW, though. It ends when DWTS begins so I don’t think the PR angle is very timely. As for the season with Emily…that will air when DWTS goes off in May, but it’s with EMILY. She’s the one that made an impact with viewers, the one everyone remembers, not Ali. Except for John. And John…Emily is way more beautiful that Ali is.

    And really, these bachelor chicks are getting Magazine covers already, right (although Ali hasn’t in a while)?? So why does the Bachelor franchise need DWTS for promo? That’s not to say DWTS won’t be greedy, but I would certainly hope at this point that they can do better “star” wise than her.

    Good point Heidi. I forgot the Bachelor is on now. I haven’t been able to see this season or the last. I prefer The Bachelor seasons over Bachelorette anyway.

    Emily is beautiful, but for just pure physical beauty Ali wins by quite a bit for me. If we take the total package, Emily definitely beats Ali.

    I’ve never been a huge fan of Bachelor folks on DWTS. Melissa was an OK option as a fill in last minute, but otherwise it feels like a stretch to say star.
