Pure Dancing With The Stars Update On “LIVE! With Kelly” Shows!!
Did any of you tune in to see Carrie Ann Inaba on LIVE! With Kelly yesterday? She didn’t mention anything on Dancing With The Stars’ new season, but, she was a kick to watch. She and Kelly Ripa definitely have that magic it takes to co-host together in my opinion. Carson Kressley did a segment with the wedding rehearsal dinner which was good too. Carrie Ann raved on his “Moves Like Jagger” dance from last season. She also said (joked?) she’d love to see him back to do the show again a second time and he agreed. Don’t forget to tune into Friday’s show as we’ll get to see the wedding couple dance and more of Derek Hough teaching them in some pre-filmed footage hopefully. Also, watch this facebook page closely, they might post some “behind the scenes” pictures and video footage.

I watched the show and thought it was very odd that DWTS was not discussed at all, seeing as that is CAI’s claim to fame. I almost felt like Kelly didn’t want to discuss season 14 lest she say something she shouldn’t.

You’re right, Heidi, he did! When Kelly asked Derek if he knew who his partner was, he jokingly said,” I thought it was you, but I guess not then.” I thought that was a good way to avoid any comments about Kelly doing the show. If Kelly had asked CAI about this season, I think CAI might have said, ” You should do DWTS.” Then Kelly is stuck if she is doing it. I know, it’s probably wishful thinking on my part. I’ll hold onto my dream until it’s dashed on Tuesday morning. LOL

Agree wholeheartedly with Evaine – pretty speculative. I’m not putting much stock in it, especially since many of the names they’ve mentioned are currently tied up with other commitments. I can guaran-damn-tee that Maurice Benard will probably NEVER do the show, even though he’s in my “dream cast” – he’s bipolar and suffers from acute social anxiety. Not exactly the right mindset for DWTS. In all reality, many stars have done stints on soap operas at some point in their careers – even if it’s not what they’re primarily known for. And considering that GH is currently the longest-running soap opera still on the air, I don’t think it would be a stretch to say that “Someone who has done GH at some point during it’s 40+ year run will be on DWTS!” But I wouldn’t necessarily expect it to be someone known PRIMARILY for doing GH. It could be someone who was on a couple episodes back in 1978.
Maddy, do we need to have another talk about separating fact from speculation?
Dial it back about 5 notches, Maddy – Evaine’s a helluva lot nicer than Heidi & I, and you just lashed out like a 12-year-old. All we’re saying is that you should probably rephrase things when you post them – big difference between saying “Someone from GH will be on DWTS” and “Soaps In-Depth is reporting that someone from GH might be on DWTS”. I was hoping you’d be able to make that distinction by now.
You notice we have to tell Maddy to chill a lot?? She gets a lot more slack than a lot of people do. Just sayin’.
I think Kelly and CAI are magical together as co-hosts. Such a wonderful team with great humor and chemistry. What a great pairing that would be unless the producers of “Live” are looking for a male co-host. In which case, I think Derek would be amazing.
