DWTS Season 14 – Who’s Dancing With Who?? The CAST ANNOUNCEMENT!!
It’s that time again! Time for Heidi to guess who’s dancing with who, based on nothing more than heights and imagination. 
We are putting up posts so fast and furious that I can’t leave anything stuck to the front page for very long, so if you’re looking for Rumor Round Up and/or Pro Watch, just click the links to go back to those posts.
This season it’s much harder, because we don’t know who’s dancing yet in terms of celebs and we’ll find out all at one time (celebs and partners) on Tuesday. They are trying to rob me of my usual guessing game. So, I’m going to guess based on the celebs we’re reasonably sure about and then if we get more info, I’ll fill it in.

Court’s Notes, part I: Lots of stalling (surprise, surprise). So far I’ve seen Cheryl, Derek, Peta, & Tristan lurking around the theater. Tristan just found out who his partner was about 20 minutes ago. The list of celebs is in a ridiculous sparkly purple envelope

And no, they haven’t announced who their partners are, yet. Patience
Court’s Notes, part V: Banter with the celebs…Melissa was apparently petrified at first, but is a little better now; Robin thinks Jaleel will be a force to be reckoned with (I agree); and Sherri says she’s “scared to death” and “needs Barbara Walters!”
Court’s Notes, part VI: All partners posted. Looks like Gladys was the last-minute addition. Tristan thinks they’re “gonna have a blast”.
Court’s Notes, part VII: Sherri’s biggest fear “besides being old” (lol), is having a bad memory – she’s afraid of forgetting her choreography. Donald deliberately didn’t tell any of his teammates about the show “because some of them have big mouths”. Everyone seems very intimidated by Jaleel & think he’s gonna be a staunch competitor…I agree. Even the way he walked out on the stage was charismatic!

If Derek does indeed get Melissa Gilbert, why was the media going on about Maks meeting with her on the weekend?

i can’t wait for the cast announcement tomorrow… your guesses are my guesses for now…and i am pretty sure they are saving the controversial figure for Maks…they did a better job this season keeping the cast secret…TY for keeping everything real and giving us all the filtered infos.

Possibly I’m taking up for Heidi when I don’t need to, but your comment read to me as if you were saying she was wrong because of what some media was reporting. It sounded rather confrontational to me.
Margaret, I have no idea where the media got the idea that Melissa had Maks – really & truly, until yesterday morning, I think the majority of people had assumed he probably wasn’t going to be a pro this season. I don’t recall anyone reporting that Maks had been seen at the rehearsal studio at the same time as Melissa, so I’m not sure what led everyone to believe Melissa had Maks – probably one person making a guess and someone else interpreting it as fact. I personally think Maks’ partner is someone that signed on in the 11th hour, and may not be a name that has even been mentioned as a rumor this season…I’m kinda thinking his partner will be a complete surprise for most of us.
But I could see Melissa ending up with Derek, just based on how the heights this season are shaking out. Since you seem skeptical, Margaret, who do you think Derek will end up with?

Really good guesses Heidi! My personal wish is Derek gets Maria… I think they would look great together! But, she would look great with Tristan too, to be honest!

…and the only people who should be telling anyone what to do are John, Heidi, Vogue, & myself, since we have the magical power of veto around here and the responsibility to keep the peace. Given Margaret’s track record as someone who tends to get a bit excitable about all things Derek, I could see how Evaine interpreted the comment. But let me issue a warning, here and now: we are not going to let the comments sections turn into all-out brawls like they did last season. My block/delete finger is primed & ready to erase anyone who gets overly argumentative or insulting. Or decides to spam the bejeesus out of us with nonsense. Are we cool?

Well of the names that are on Heidi’s list so far, I think Melissa is the only one with enough pull to ask for somebody, so I think Derek does have her. Like Courtney said, it sounds like Maks got a last minute celeb.
I believe TMZ is the one that linked Maks and Melissa together: “as soon as he landed, guy made a beeline for an L.A. dance studio … where he met with Melissa Gilbert.” I agree with what others have said, my hunch is that he was added when a last minute deal came through and that he isn’t with Melissa. Maybe another celeb was at the studio at the same time Gilbert was spotted there?
Can’t wait to see how it all matches up tomorrow – I’m actually excited about how the cast is pulling together so far!
Courtney: I also could see Derek with Melissa. Think they would be a good pairing. I was imagining either Melissa or Maria M. Don’t worry, I promise not to get over the top anymore!
Lets assume, only assume that if Robin Roberts in in. don’t you guys think she would ask for Maks?
The reason I did NOT put Maks with Melissa is because I’m pretty sure she was seen going into DWTS facilities before Maks was even in LA. Hence, my Derek guess. And it was a GUESS – it ain’t rocket science, folks. The problem with the Derek guess is that Derek said that he wasn’t starting work until “next week” and he said that on wed or thurs last week. Now, when Derek starts a new week is anybody’s guess, but I think he’s a more logical guess than Maks is.
And TMZ?? NOT infallible. Just sayin’.
Oh man….I’m so STOKED for this season – you guys have done an awesome job keeping me informed as to the possibilities.
Man oh man…Maria Menunos…if she gets on she’s had one HECK of go of things the last few months. Tebowing *with* Tebow (not everyone’s cup of tea…hardly mine but YUM) and now potentially DWTS.

Woo Hoo – it’s almost here, the big reveal. I posted my guesses earlier under the Maria thread and now I cannot get the idea of Paul Dean dancing with Mark out of my head LOL. She really hasn’t been rumored all that much, don’t even know why she popped into my head, she’s probabl not even dancing this season, but if she does, hope she’s partnered with Mark. I’m just kuku with that idea LOL

OK, I was literally posting at the SAME TIME as you guys on another message board, and my pairings are virtually identical to yours!! Except I don’t have Darnell & Vince, and put Robin Roberts (a rumour I’ve seen a couple of places in the last 24 hours) with Maks. Totally agree that Melissa is Derek’s horse, and sooo stoked at the prospect of a Maria/Tristan pairing… I can’t wait for the official announcement!!! Only one more sleep!!!!
my thoughts on Maks’ partner:
i wonder if Robin R. from GMA is indeed going to be his partner – some other female celeb had to back out at the last minute, they asked Robin to fill in (a la Carson last season) and she said she would if she could have her favorite Pro, Maks.
are we still working with 11 celebs, or are we thinking it’s now 12?

I also don’t think Annika is on based on Tony’s tweet. Who knows? That doesn’t take away from my sincere gratitude for this post and ALL of the hard work on this website. Thank you. 
TBH, it would not surprise me if Robin Roberts was in this season. If so, I’m guessing she will be paired with either Tony or Maks.
I don’t believe Melissa is with Derek!-oh well maybe I’m hoping not. I think she’s great though.

Your guesses are much more educated than mine, so I think you’re pretty much spot-on. I’m with the other posters – I’d like to see what Derek could do with Maria, but like you, I think Melissa has the “pull” to request him and get him… oh well, coulda-woulda-shoulda… 
They have casted plenty of nobodies and Darnell, if true, is more famous than some past celebs.
What still has me scratching my head is Derek making not one, but two comments on twitter that read like fans had guessed his partner. And none of those names were guessed. Maybe it was just one of
Derek’s nonsensical tweets that he is sometimes prone to, but it really seemed like he was giving hints.
But that aside, I do not believe he is partnered with Melissa Gilbert. Looks like I’m the only one who doesn’t think so, but I really don’t think so. I think he’s with someone yet to be announced. I’m really hoping he gets someone younger, but regardless, I don’t see him with Melissa.

Kinda echoing what Melissa said, the past few casts have all had one “Who???” that none (or only a handful) of us had heard of prior to the cast announcement – season 11 had Kyle, season 12 had Mike (and to a lesser degree, Chelsea), and season 13 had JR. All 4 were not exactly household names – yet they all seemed to be quite well-received by viewers once the show began. Even early-ouster Mike was super-charming! So in the great scheme of things, I don’t really mind a name that makes me go “Who???” – because lord knows there have been several people that I had heard of prior to them doing the show that have left a very bad taste in my mouth…chief among them, Wendy Williams. Blech.
Darnell Robinson tweeted 3 hrs ago – ‘I actually wouldn’t mind doing DWTS’.
I’m thinking the celebs and pros have been meeting each other from Friday through to today, but probably won’t start actual training/rehearsals until after tomorrow’s announcements. Based on height, I wouldn’t be surprised if Maria was paired with Maks, though I could see her with Tristan too.
Darnell Robinson is 6 feet, 11 inches tall.
I keep seeing Melissa with Tony. Maybe Derek to a lesser extent and I don’t see her with Maks.

Errr, wrong Darnell Robinson, Pamela – the one we’re referring to is a reality star/rapper. The 6’11″ one you’re referring to was a power forward drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 1996.
Seems like an okay cast, but it’s hard to tell until the season gets going. I really hope Vince Young isn’t dancing because I wouldn’t wish him on any of the pros. If he is though I imagine he might be trying to repair his image. Plus I heard the Eagles signed another QB last week so he might be out of a job. The majority of the time Vince played for Tennessee he acted like an immature, petulant child. The last game he played here he threw his shoulder pads and shoes up in the stands when he got pulled from the game. Then he cussed out Coach Fisher and left the stadium. One of the last signing events he did in TN in 2010, hardly anyone showed up because a lot of fans had grown tired of his temper tantrums. Then of course he coined the term “Dream Team” at the start of this past season for Philadelphia, which didn’t go over well.
Wow, IF this is the cast, I think it’ll be good season! I love Sheri and I think she and Val will be really great together. The only change I’d see is Maria with Maks, they’d be absolutely gorgeous together and I think she’s single and you know how the folks at DWTS LOVE to have presumed showmances! I’m looking forward to tomorrow morning, that’s for sure!!!
Yeah looking forward to seeing the Val and Sherri pairing (if it happens lol) only cause I think she will do well and I want to see much more of Val this time – excited to see his choreography and what he’ll bring

Hmm..well, considering height, my gut tells me that Maks and Maria are paired together. 5’8″ and 6’2″ would look good together and make a bit more sense than her being with guys who are a bit shorter. I just can’t see her with Tony. I can, however, see Annika with Tony. Both are very family oriented.
I keep seeing comments made about Sheri practicing with Val and/or at DWM. What is the basis for this other than she was spotted at the studio when Nancy Grace did her show there? I realize she has been at DWM events; however, Kirstie Alley danced at two of them (she/Sheri are friends) and she sat with Kirstie at the latest.
I’m so anxious about tomorrow! It’s like Christmas.

Melissa is not with Maks. She arrived to the dance studio before Maks arriving in LA. That’s what it looked like. She is not with Tony because Tony is not in LA yet. Maria and Melissa are with LA based pros… Derek, Mark, Tristan.

It does seem that Melissa was seen at DWTS studio on Friday and Maks arrived in LA Saturday.

She would be great candidate for a DWTS showmance though; beautiful and recently separated from her fiancee.

Katherine Jenkins looks like someone mark would be paired with. I think we got marks partner since there are no rumors about who he is paired. I could be wrong we will just have to wait and see.

Height wise, the shortest celeb is Sherri. Katherine height wise is better with Derek or Tristan. Here is hoping the show changes things up and gives Mark someone over forty for once!

@Zach: I understand what you were saying. It was jsut that I wanted to say there has been a Spanish actor not well known on the show before. I agree that I would love to see a link though becuase that cast seems very DWTSish but I really want some kind of confirmation.

Again, should MissWMG (who I might add has never posted here before from the IP address I see, and has a rather generic-looking email address) provide proof of her claims, I will humbly & happily eat my words. But do you guys really believe that TV Guide would make such a silly mistake as printing the entire cast of DWTS and then ACCIDENTALLY shipping it out too early to their thousands of subscribers??? Speaking of which, I know there’s more of you out there that get TV Guide…have any of you gotten your copy yet today, and if so, is there any sort of suspicious leak in that issue? Or was it just MissWMG that got a golden ticket? 
Wow the only people I know from that tv guide list is Maria Menous, Sherri Shepherd, Jaleel White (who don’t know Steve Urkel? lol) , and Gavin Degraw. The rest I had to look up, DWTS can do better geez 14 seasons and still getting bottom of the barrel celebs. I probably won’t be watching, and the Kid from Disney Roshon Fegan is a ringer. I might check him out just to see some good dance but other than that meh.

Good job Zach and I’m leary too like my counterparts. I just find it odd that there is no online link at TV Guide? I don’t know, but, we will soon find out in almost 12+hours from now.
For a second I thought that he or she might’ve gotten a list from a Tivo or DVR guide but I don’t know of any DVR that has that many weeks of guide info available.
DWTSGossip is tweeting that Katherine Jenkins and Martina Navratilova are on the rumor list which are also on MissWMG’s list. Hmmm. I’m still taking MissWMG’s list with a grain of salt until we see a reputable source but it’d be kinda cool if it turns out to be true because that means this site had the full cast leak first.
Wow! You people are really skeptical. I subscribe to TVG, and just received the latest issue in the mail. It has Kieffer Sutherland on the cover for March 5-11, and the full page article of dancers and pics is on page 6.

IF (big if) Katherine Jenkins is on, I will absolutely support this casting! She looks like a living doll, has the most beautiful voice, and is supposedly very nice.. so guess who I’d want her with.. lol. She’s a trained opera singer (as we know), but she has also been transitioning into acting. She was on an episode of Doctor Who in 2011 and I thought she did very well. We only have a few more hours until we officially find out who the cast is and then all this speculation can finally die, haha…. =)
I’m going to go out on a random limb and just say that Peta is dancing with Tony Romo. I have no proof or anything, but a wild guess, because they kept this list pretty tight
@Missmwg – Yes, we’re skeptical. If TV Guide did accidentally slip up & publish the cast list early, then as was said before, there’d be others posting here. And, once they realized their error, why not post it online so we can all see it? If you’re right, I’ll line up with Zach and apologize. But for now, I’m still waiting on verification…
Hey…just saw this…remember Mark & Derek did an episode dancing with 2 “disney kid” girls on their show? The girls were great and some of Mark’s fans told them they should do the show. Wasn’t the one who was Chelsea’s friend either.
Also, can someone p-l-e-a-s-e tell me who the A-lister is out of this bunch? lol….sheesh

Where do you think DWTSGossip got it from, Jen?? DWTSGossip also tweeted a KNOWN fake account earlier today. We know it’s fake because we busted her the other day and he/she admitted it a season or two ago. This person is spreading this far and wide trying to get someone to bite. The harder they try, the more suspicious I am.
Simple to prove really – post a scan of the article and all the pictures.
Not to mention that DWTS has NEVER given cast pics to any outlet before the announcement – they haven’t even taken the pics yet, if history is anything to go by.

Oops ok, I assumed DWTSGossip only used sources they trusted since they seem to have reliable info a lot of times.
The thing is, TPTB have worked so hard to keep this all under wraps until tomorrow. Why would they risk giving away such a list with pictures last week to be released today in a magazine ruining their surprise? Personally, I can’t see Martina Navratilova ballroom dancing either But, hey?
I think her original source is usually reliable, but she also posts stuff that she finds on the web, just like we do. We just have a lot of past experience with people with no lives whatsoever trying to scam us.
I guess Babs would give Sherri a “leave of absence”, but why when she and her partner (probably one who owns a studio in EN WHY CEE lol) can just practice with her all week in NY and she still does the view on lets’ say Thur & Fri.
Well, she sent us a scan of her TV Guide and it appears legit. Due to our experiences with scammers, I still maintain a degree of skepticism. I’m waiting on Courtney and Vogue to look at it and give their opinion.

I kinda hope that alleged list by TV guide is right, there are a lot of stars I like on that list.
I tend to like the seasons more when there is a ringer, so here’s hoping someone has some dancing skills.

DWTSgossip confirmed the disney kid is a GIRL. Also, Debbie Ryan is one of the bigger stars on Disney and she just stated she has an announcement. BTW Debbie was NOT on the TV Guide list. The drama goes on.

I actually know who Roshon Fegan is(one of the “new” Disney stars Ive heard of prior to DWTS) he is one the same show as the girls who danced with Deek and Mark. He is a pretty good break/hip hop dancer. And the 2 girls that danced with Derek and Mark are too young IMO. Bella(red head) is either 13 or 14. The other girl (I think her name is Zendaya or something) is about 15. I like watching the young people(20′s and younger) but not that young.
They aren’t gonna cast 2 disney stars. Or that’s really doubtfull.

I wonder if Katherine Jenkins talked to her ex-fiancé about doing DWTS since he was on the British version and that’s where they met. I think she would be great but I definitely don’t see her with mark. I would say Tristan since she is European and he might actually know who she is.
I believe Debby Ryan is 18/19, but can’t see her being paired with someone 30+.
I could see Katherine with Tristan too, though I’m sure she’s known by most of the pro’s as she has performed on the show in the past.

New season, new cast- yay! I have to do some googling to find out more about them. Still a bit pissed Maks didn’t get to sit through this season. Oh, well..
They have 2 pretty short ladies (Melissa and Gladys) paired with two tall pros. That’s my small complaint so far.
In a way, it’s big props to give the biggest A lister to Tristin, (unless of course she asked for him). but lets face it. Gladys is what 68? Going to be tough on her regardless of whether she’s in good shape or not.
I don’t know half of these people so I can’t even begin to think who will win, but it should be interesting to watch. I agree that Jaleel could be one to watch.
Hmmm, William Levy… Is that the guy with the see-through panties photos?! He should be hilarious, although perhaps inadvertently.

Checking in from my Smoky Mountain vacation to find out the cast list. I have to say, there isn’t one pair I’m not excited about. I think they were matched up perfectly, and I can’t wait to see them all. I was a tiny bit disappointed Tristan has Gladys, but I think he can rise to the challenge.
Like I said, I really like them all, but if I had to pick favorites (which is hard to do), I’d say:

My first impression is that either Chelsie will get her first mirrorball or Kym will get her third. It all hinges, I think, on Maria/Derek if they have any competition whatsoever. Or possibly Katherine/Mark. Maria has the built in advantage that Nancy Grace had – being on TV every day. Melissa has the advantage of being an icon. Is she a Jennifer Grey sized icon?? Hard to say, really. Could be a competitive season. We will soon see.
How about William?? Is he another Gilles??

First impressions: It’s Jaleel’s to lose – he’s charismatic, he can dance, he’s got a great partner, and the main demographic of the show likely remembers him well from his Family Matters days. I think Gladys could surprise people – she seemed pretty energetic on the cast announcement (if you haven’t yet, watch the clip Vogue posted below). I do think they’re trying to push William as the next Gilles (and he may or may not be the next Gilles…more on that later), and they’re trying to push Roshon as the next Kyle. I worry about Gavin & Martina – the former is also going to be touring while on the show, and the latter seemed to be very reserved.
Overall, I’m excited about this cast
I wonder if the producers had been in talks with Gladys when Whitney Houston died and that is one of the reasons for some last minute shuffling? They couldn’t guarantee she’d join and signed their 11 and then she did, so went with the 12?

Wow! Looks like there are a few good dancers there to begin with. Should be interesting! I, too, want to send my apologies to Miss WMG for doubting her. It just seemed too good to be true. What a huge SNAFU for the show and TV Guide! I am SO happy that Derek has Maria, although I still think she’s a little spazzy. Time will tell! I think Gladys must have asked for Tristan. I mean really – she’d have some bargaining power! I think Tristan will keep her in for awhile just like he did with Nancy. I’m not feelin’ Gavin. He says some pretty inappropriate things.

Quick thoughts. Jaleel is gonna be tough. Feel so bad for Tristan, wish he and Mark ‘s partners were switched. Somewhere I read or heard that Melissa “loved” Maks,maybe on the “Talk”? Sherri is already annoying, feel bad for Val..he should have Melissa and Maks should be out. Wish Anna had gotten Jaleel. Maria is just the best, a gamer, goofy, done so many interesting things—just don’t know if she has rhythm!! I just pray that she’s good enough to stay in it a long time. It will be so much “pretty” to look at and Derek should have a blast with her and he deserves a fun season.

Martina is firecracker! As a tennis fan I am very happy to see her. Don’t underestimate her! I hope she and Tony can gain a good fan base.
I re-watched the clips and look at Gladys when Tristan walks out…she clinches both fists in the air and bends her knees down as if she was thrilled…cute! Kym is already doing the finger-tapping thingy to Jaleel chest…they’ll have great chemistry. Both Gavin & Melissa say “inappropriate”things…people will see. Martina looked pretty. Roshon needs Chelsie to reel him him like Cheryl had to do with Rob and Kym with David last season. Cheryl has been really sick (didn’t know that, and that’s why she looked that way).
PS–For the people saying nasty things about Kym and Karina (botox, filler, etc) I’ve seen some of their profile pics, are they seriously ripping these 2 lovely ladies….geez!

Going by the names I’m familiar with I’m most excited to watch Martina, Donald and Jaleel dance. And I’ve always liked Jack for some strange reason.
Ok so this is how I think they will do:
1) Jack and Anna: He seems like a fun dude and probably will be a great dancer and has a great partner in Anna. Thuis could be her chance for that mirror ball trophy
Saying that I don’t think they will win but I think she could be even better than ricki.
2) Melissa and Maks: I like how they interact. This is promising. othr than that she should do well
3) donald and peta: seems like a fun guy and probably will do good. Saying that, i said the same thing about ron artest too so idk what to make of him right now.
4)Gavin and Karina: I LOVE his music BUT seems a little too shy to win.
5) marina and tony: idk what to make of it yet. She kinda was boring but had good chemistry w tony so idk.
6)roshon and chelsie: we have a contander me thinks. he was funny and is probably going to make it to the top 3.
7)maria and derek: YAY! So I think they will do great
8) jaleel and kym: I think he has everything it takes to win it. Crowd went nuts for him and he is a good dancer (when he was stefan on familymatters he danced sometimes and he was good)
9)Gladys and Thristan: AWESOME. Saying that Idk but I’llget back to you after the first dance
10) Sherri and Val: She is fearless it seems and is already having a blast. I think we have a contenda on our hands

He does a little dance after he makes a big play. He’s going to be like Hines I bet. He’s a receiver and is a very charming personality. I am happy that Peta will (hopefully) be able to get past the first week.
Don’t underestimate William Levy, he can dance. I’ve seen him. He has rhythm and charisma. He has many followers in the US and Latin America. Wouldn’t be surprise if many of them power vote from outside the US. Adding to that, he’s paired with Cheryl. I think they are contenders.
I was watching the announcement w people and all the girls were screaming when they said williams name. Dude has the abs I wish I had.
I’m really excited about this cast!! I bet”Urkel” will be a blast to watch. I love the Maria/Derek pairing & hope it is a winning combo but at the very least they will be major eye candy! I was curious why Tristan didn’t get a younger partner this time. But then I read what Heidi wrote about how Tristan still needs to pay his dues especially with Derek & Maks around and that sounds like a perfect explanation and really makes sense. Plus, I agree that Gladys probably asked for that yummy Irish cutie! I’m a huge Martina fan and have fingers crossed that she can dance well. This is going to be a wonderful season and I just want to give another shout-out to the PWTS dream team that keeps us all updated and informed!!

Hmm…William Levy….(fans self)–he and Cheryl should generate some serious heat on the dance floor. Although his fanbase will be rather small to start with; he’ll have to win over folks early, I would think (same with Katherine Jenkins).
Seems like a great line-up. I, too, am pleased to have a ‘reality-free’ season–yay! Glad Chelsea is back, too–she’s so cute! To me, this seems like the strongest group of pro’s assembled in a long time. Looking forward to the beginning of the season!
I would like to point out that Martina and Gladys also fullfill the reality star spots too. Martina was on the British version of I’m A celbrity get me out of here and gladys was a judge on “American Juniors” which was shortlived. So that fullfills the reality star spots
But Vin, and I know you know this, I think their “first” career choices kind of overshadow the reality thang.

I realize they are reality starts,but since they seem to be in a “class” all their own, I just want to say, thank god, no Kardashians.
I think Jaleel and Kym will be the couple to look out for. William Levy and Katherine Jenkins aren’t known much well atleast in the US and will have to grow their fan bases. Producers were smart for putting them with their popular pros Cheryl and Mark.

I’m very excited about this cast and I’m so glad that Jaleel got Kym!!! I watched his show, “Family Matters” all the time growing up so I’m happy that he got Kym. I’m not sure about Martina or Gladys but then I’m going by their ages so you never know. I’m a little nervous about Gladys though because she’s extremely popular! Now I enjoy learning more about the celebs, their personalities and fanbases. Now we just have to watch them dance!
Wow! Despite this being a fairly older cast I’m really looking forward to this! I think there’s so much potential for this to be a really amazing season. It’s interesting because at this point there are so many couples that could be contenders, seeing them dance will help narrow that down. I honestly think that, like many have previously said, that Jaleel/Kym are probably my top contenders at this point. I wouldn’t underestimate Donald/Peta, Sherri/Val, and to an extent Melissa/Maks. For me it seems like it’s easier this season to guess who might not be so good rather than the opposite.
I’m really excited to see what Martina can do. Hopefully she can open up. I’m also really interested to see how the Gladys/Tristan pairing works out. She’s older than Nancy but I think has more potential so I really want to see what Tristan can do with that. I think it might be a bit of a challenge but I’m sure he’ll be able to handle it.

Well as I told Vogue earlier, I’m out of the cyber space world because I’m currently helping out in something that does not allow much computer time but alas, I am here and have been following Pure DWTS via a phone that does not allow comments to be done (Insert Debbie Downer music Wah-waaaaaaaaah). But yes, kudos to Miss WMG for being right on and kudos to her local post office for delivering early otherwise we wouldn’t have had the leak… And of course thanks in advance to the entire Pure DWTS team for all of your dedication and hard work!!
Ok, as for the cast, WOW! At first, I was very skeptical and thinking I was forcing myself to like the cast, but once the pairings were announced, I got excited. Gladys Knight- A diva and a LEGEND on DWTS is awesome! Maria being on makes me extremely happy and dancing with Derek is a plus, since yet again, a girl who I have my eye on is paired with none other than Mr. Hough himself. All in all a great cast!! Here’s to March 19th!!!

This is overall a GREAT cast. I’m really excited about this season. Some hot pairings. Might be the sexiest yet! Excited most about the Maria & Derek pairing. Besides being a couple-ha, ha, I think their personalities will blend well together.
Also want to say, it’s so nice to see Jaleel “AKA” Urkel on the show! It’s going to be fun.

I think it’s going to be a great season.
I am actually VERY excited for this season. For 3 reasons:
This guy can dance, no doubt about it. He’s on a show that’s about dancing, he danced a LOT in two movies, and I’m sure there’s more. Probably a skill ringer, but he is balanced out with a VERY specific fanbase, one who’s typical age is far outside of DWTS. High hopes for this couple though.
Can’t wait til March 19th!
1. I actually know who most of them are. And I’m very familiar and fans of a few of them.
2. I think the cast as a whole has a lot of dancing potential, something tells me we’ll see some great dancing.
3. Almost all of them seem very likable and classy.
As for how I think they’ll do:
Melissa and Maks- I think she could do pretty well. As long as Maks goes back to the classy (er) Maks that was with Kirstie, these do should do pretty well.
Maria/Derek- I’m very excited for this pairing. Maria is gorgeous and she and Derek will probably make a pretty hot couple if you ask me. And I am confident that Derek can pull out some great dancing from her. Hopefully she has some natural skills as well!
Katherine/Mark-Not familiar with Katherine, but I’m sure they’ll do very well too. Singers for the most part tend to do well.
Martina/Tony- I’m sure Martina will be FIERCE. Hopefully her age won’t get the better of her.
Sherri/Val- I think she’ll be funny and charismatic. Good luck to Val especially after Elisabetta’s early exit.
Gladys/Tristan- I really hope she does well. While, she doesn’t look a day over 40 to me, there’s no doubt that 67 year old parts are going to have issues compared to someone really young like Roshon.
Jaleel/Kym- Another couple I’m bursting with enthusiasm for! Who doesn’t remember Urkel? LOL. Besides that, Jaleel is VERY charismatic and should do well skill wise. Combine that with Kym’s awesome teaching and choreography, and you have a big contender.
William/Cheryl- It’s so weird when a contestant has the same name as you LOL. Anyways, pretty familiar with him. He almost looks like a second Gilles to me. He probably isn’t coming in with a large fanbase, but he could be a fantastic dancer. We shall see.
Gavin/Karina-One of my favorite singers EVER! I’m really hoping and praying for him too. He is shy, but I hope that Karina helps him break out of his shell. Perhaps become a dark horse?
Jack/Anna- Again, I hope they do very well. Jack seems likable and I loves me the red-headed Russian
Roshon/Chelsie-Very excited for these two as well. Since I’m a teen, it shouldn’t be a surprise I know the Disney kid very well
Donald/Peta-Really hoping these two do well for the sake of Peta. Ron was….*shudders*. I think Peta deserves a great one this season.

Very excited about this season. I feel like there are more here with dance potential and experience than in previous seasons.
I have to ask…Were they offering free wine and spirits to the cast back stage or something??
An unsually high number of people were ” tripping over them selves ” as they walked out, weren’t they?? I know Jack about fell over, Sherri was doin some funky egyptian homegirl dance, and Maria almost took out Brooke; even Gladys Knight looked a little bit…tipsy. Wierd. 
I also loved how Melissa just kinda stould there and basked in her glory before Tom told her to sit. 
Zach, probably too much caffeine. It was god awful early on the west coast for them. Tom tweeted at one point that probably some of them hadn’t even gone to bed yet.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS CAST! Some real stars on there and good personalities. Plus all the guys are HOT and they all look like they have great potential to really move out there.
I hope they do this every year. have the cast with their partners all in one segment on GMA. But they sure did get the rumors fired up about possibly one of their own was doing the show. Maybe that was part of the plan.
