Katherine Jenkins Says Doing Dancing With The Stars Is Out Of Her Comfort Zone
More on Katherine Jenkins!! She tells the New York Post that she’s a little nervous as she begins rehearsals with Mark Ballas to dance on Dancing With The Stars. Below is what she told them on Friday…
“I start my first day of training tomorrow, Mark is coming over here for a week of rehearsals. While I am so excited to be part of the show, I am a little nervous because I don’t yet know what I am letting myself in for.” While being used to the discipline of voice training, “This is something out of my comfort zone, it will be a challenge and hopefully something I will enjoy. I am ready for a challenge. I just hope I am physically up for the challenge.”

I wonder why she’s not doing the British version of DWTS? Do you think she’s using the show to break into Hollywood?

They’ll definitely be a couple to watch as she is a singer/performer and I believe she’ll do well with Mark!

It might be a schedule thing too. I believe SCD is only on in the fall, and it could be that she could only clear time to do it in the spring.
Awww, bless her heart. She’ll start to feel more better once they join up with the rest of the cast and realize she isn’t the only one who is nervous. I’ve got to say, not many could do this so soon after a broken engagement-it speaks volumes about her character.

I’m looking forward to seeing her perform and want her to do well. So I hope by “coming over here for a week of rehearsals” she means they’ll do a week in London and then travel to LA to settle in and rehearse hard there. Moreso than some others, Katherine has to be good Week 1 in order to convince the audience she’s worth keeping around.
Ah, there is something so appealing about Katherine. I also hope she does well. Just wish she was partnered with Tristan.

I hate when really talented people do the hsow and have a terrible atititude. She definately is getting one of my votes now even if she can’t dance.
I agree, Cidra…what worries me most about Katherine is the possible lack of fanbase. She will really need to get everyone’s attention the first week or she and Mark might have the same fate as Mark and Kristin did last season.
I too agree about Katherine as well. Mark will have to showcase Katherine right out of the gate or it may be early lights out for these two.
Does she have a cute accent? Maybe that will help. It’s one of the many things that makes Tristan so appealing to me. Of course even if she has a killer accent, Katherine has the huge disadvantage of being a pretty woman rather than a handsome man.
Cidra – Yes, she will have an accent and it is completely different to a “regular” British accent. My dad is Welsh and my mom was born just outside of Birmingham. Their accents are totally different. So she should have the cute factor in spades!
